Chapter VII: Another Survivor
They were just eyeing every inch of movement that he makes.
A mixture of relief and excitement Eurus felt for a moment. Eurus wanted to wave his hand to him, a simple gesture of his greetings. But seeing Luke's sudden emotion, a face drizzled with worry, he quickly snapped out from his thoughts and did not proceed.
The man slowly moved closer to the duffel bag on the ground. He glanced at it for a moment. He knew that someone must have dropped it. Then he surveyed every inch of his surroundings to where his eyesight can reach. He looked to his left, then to his right. He saw no one. He then turned to his back, he noticed Luke and Eurus getting nearer towards him. He just stood up from his position, didn't react, nor didn't say anything.
When their visions met, Luke settled back into a slow walk despite the urgency. Eurus couldn't grasp what Luke have in mind. He just quickly followed him with the same pace, just slowly walking towards him.

After the man disintegrated, Eurus started to speculate that he was holding no ordinary bracelet. He was skeptical, yet he still decided to wear the bracelet to his left hand. The Metal Bracelet has an ancient symbol carved onto it, a circular symbol that depicts a snake devouring its own tail. It was strange and definitely new to his eyes. Yet somehow, he feels like he had seen it before, He just could not remember it. The bracelet was loose, it had a gap in his hand, but it automatically tightened to his hand, to the point that it cannot be removed by force. Eurus was shocked, he tried to remove it but to no avail. Then, Eurus felt a sting sensation coming from the bracelet, he only felt a sightly pain. Yet, making his head feel dizzy, his vision got hazy, making him unconscious. "What took you so long?" Luke asked upon their arrival. Kaya looked over her left shoulder as she pointed at Eurus behind her with her thumb. "We bumped into this guy," Kaya replied. Luke then approached Kaya. He looked at Eurus, then back at her. "Who's him?" He asked. Eurus paused for a moment. He suddenly recalled and realized that he did not introduce himself yet. He then approached, lowered his hand as he opened his palm. "I...uhh... Eurus." He stated, introducing himself. He was confident. "You must be Luke." Luke just scanned his face up and down. He then tapped on his left shoulder, looking at his face while shaking his head as he smiled. "all alright, squiggy then." Luke stated. Eurus' hand was left hanging, slightly awkward for him. Eurus then stared at him blankly for a few seconds. "Squiggy?" he said to himself. Luke gave Eurus an arrogant impression of him, seemingly irritated with his behavior. "Who does he think he is?"

He then tried to climb his way up, but the stone walls around him were slippery and covered with moss, nearly impossible for him.He glanced back to see the silhouette not moving an inch. They were already meters away from Kaya and the others. The apartment building can even barely be seen from their distance.As they keep on moving, Eurus kept looking around their surroundings, looking left, then right. Surrounded by different buildings. A high-rise building, office buildings, a mall, even. But some are infested with Ghouls and Shadow demons, so going in is like a suicide attempt.It was a busy city. He sees people riding bicycles, People walking along the streets, crossing the roads. Vehicles rushing through the busy highway.The scenery made him feel that he's in the real world. It was probably the closest to being alive that he ever felt since he entered the game.They continued moving and moving, but Eurus's mind barely converges on their tasks.He kept on imagining himself being part of the world, the real world.His mind kept on having pictures of what the real world would look like. Eurus was just standing still, stunned, unable to react, unable to help him at least. It was his first time seeing the hideous-looking beast up close, just staring at them with his eyes widely open. He hasn't moved his weapon a bit, still holding it, both with his hands and with every inch of his body, trembling, and devoured by fear. But at the last second, Eurus was able to gather up his courage. Despite the outcry of exhaustion from his body, his feet started charging forward towards them. As if someone pushed him from behind. He swung the baseball bat, hitting the ghoul on its head. And upon impact, the ghoul suddenly flinched. It reacted irritably. It extended its left arm, and swung, hitting Eurus' left feet, he flew into the air for a moment-maybe four feet above the ground and slightly pushed him away from their distance.
