Ah, fucking shit! I forgot how fucking confusing this fucking road could be.

I swear I would have been sure I had been awake for days if it was just a few seconds from disappearing from the sky.

It wasn't helping that everything looked so damn similar. If I hadn't paid close attention to the day Michael and I went out, I would have been fucking lost. That was if I already wasn't.

How were there so many roads intertwined, and where the fuck did they lead to? A dead end? Back to the cabin? To another damn city? To another fucking country? At this point, I might just have walked to Sinclair.

The most annoying thing wasn't that our house was even that far; it was that I had to spend a good amount of time confirming if I was on the right track, and if I wasn't, I had to fucking retrace my steps.

And worse, the feeling that someone was following me intensified by a thousand. It was like someone was following me, but wheneverI turned back or peeked behind my shoulders, there was nothing.

"Fuck! Gwendolyn! Is that really you?" Lorenzo gasped, and my eyes watered. When was the last time I had heard that voice? Weeks ago! Fucking weeks ago, and they hadn't told me good things, but fuck me, my eyes were still full of tears because I fucking missed him! I fucking missed him so damn much that it hurts!I wanted to hug him and tell him everything was fucking ok and I was safe from that bastard Michael, but he was in who knows where."It's me, Lorenzo." I whispered as tears streamed down my face."How are you? Are you crying? Are you hurt? Did that fucking bastard hurt you?" He growled."I'm fine. I'm only crying because I'm so fucking happy to be talking to you. I've fucking missed you so damn much.""I've missed you too, my dear. I've fucking missed you. I've been looking fucking everywhere for you." He said it softly, and I melted.Lorenzo missed me! He fucking missed me! And had been looking for me! For me!"Where are you now? How are you able to contact me?""I ran away

"Gwen?!" Felix frowned."Shush! Not too loud! Someone might hear you!" I hushed him as I quickly locked the door and peeked through the windows. No sight of Michael anywhere. Thank goodness, it seems I was just paranoid for nothing.I dropped the curtains and turned to him with a huge grin."Yup, it's me. In the flesh. Told you you should be expecting it soon." I said."What the fuck is happening with you?""I'll explain it to you after I make this call. Where's your phone?" I asked as I took off my hoodie and mask."In my room," he said and walked away."Did you deliver my message to Natalie?" I asked as I tailed behind him."About that..." He mumbled, and I froze."Please tell me you did. Please tell me you really did because this is a life-and-death situation right now, and I'm not kidding." I panicked."Relax, I did. My eardrum was still drumming when I told her I had seen you." He replied as he rubbed his ears. "It's just that I told her a few hours before you sent those texts."

"You... You..." Michael breathed as he touched the spot my lips touched as he stared at me with wide eyes. "You kissed me.""Eh, it's more of a peck than a kiss." I shrugged as I rubbed my palm on my shorts, pretending it was my lips that I was wiping.Like I would ever kiss him."You kissed me? Why?""You said you won't get rid of the drink until you get something better from me, so there. A peck on the cheek is way better than you clutching that bottle like it's your life, so please drink it and toss it away. It cr— hey! What are you doing?" I exclaimed as he suddenly opened the soda and began chugging down everything at lightning speed."Stop that! You're going to choke and kill yourself!" I tried to grab it from him, but he thwarted my effort and emptied the entire bottle."Done!" He grinned and let out a small belch."Are you crazy?" I glared at him."Why are you mad? You wanted me to drink it, didn't you?" He asked."I did, but did you have to do that fucking fast? You could hav

Despite Michael being an asshole, he was quite fun to watch movies with. We were in the sixth? Seventh? Eighteenth? Honestly, I had lost count of how many movies we had watched the moment we had taken a break in the afternoon.Yes, fucking afternoon. Before I blinked, it was thirteen minutes past twelve. We had to take, like, a two-hour break to eat something other than popcorn and use the bathroom. By the time we returned, it was another marathon.Who knew early 2000s rom-coms were so addicting? It was now my new favourite genre. And Michael's presence, unfortunately, didn't spoil the mood like I expected. If not for his creepy obsession with me and the fact that he lied and killed Pablo, I was sure we would have been really, really good friends.Just friends. I won't still date him. My heart belonged to one man: Lorenzo, although I wasn't sure he cared. He was confusing. He told me he loved me. I swear he did, and I didn't hallucinate it. He had said with his mouth that he loved me

Sh*t!Michael was annoyingly f*cking right on the money. No memories – Gwen would never have turned him down. She would have been over the moon and back. She would have dragged his ass to the living room by now even though she was on life support. But I wasn't acting like that.F*ck!He was already noticing I was wrong. It hadn't been even up to two hours! Curse him for studying me so much and knowing my character! It was going to be a f*cking hundred times more difficult to pretend I hadn't gotten back my memories thanks to his observant sh*t."I... um... I want to, but I'm afraid of what this time's payment would be." I said the most reasonable 'no memories' Gwen would have given."What do you mean?" He frowned."Oh, you know. The first time you asked for a kiss, and the last time, you asked to cuddle. I don't want to know what you'll ask for this time, so no matter how much I want it, I'm going to sit this one out." I shrugged and almost patted myself on the back for such a perfect
