The next morning Eva awoke and stretched out her body as the previous day's events flooded back into her kind. She felt happy that things with Tina were finally sorted and they could all move forward. Sebastian lay asleep next to her, and she smiled to herself. She felt so lucky to have him and how he stood by her side, he was terrific. She remembered how her ex-boyfriend had treated her like rubbish the minute that she had left her hometown. “What a loser.” Eva chuckled to herself as she got out of bed and went towards the bathroom. She stared at her reflection and got undressed to have a shower. The water hitting her body felt so refreshing. As Eva stood under the cascading water, she let her mind wander, reflecting on the past few days' events. The coldness of the water on her skin felt invigorating, washing away the remnants of sleep and leaving her feeling rejuvenated. Lost in her thoughts, memories of her ex-boyfriend resurfaced. How he treated her after s
“The twins are safe. We found them but Tina is nowhere to be seen.” One of the warriors came to inform Tim and Eva. “What? Where?” Sebastian hurried over when he heard the news. “Just on the edge of the pack border. They are safe now and ok. The Alpha wants to see them and ask them what they may know.” The warrior continued to say. “Oh thank goddess!” Tim gasped rubbing his forehead while Sebastian breathed a sigh of relief as he hugged Eva to his chest. “I need to see them first.” Tim suddenly said a hint of urgency in his voice and the warrior gave a nod and gestured for them to follow him. “Eva, are you ok?” Tim turned to his oldest daughter and frowned as she suddenly threw up all over the pathway. “Eva!” Sebastian exclaimed. “Tim, go to the twins. I will see to Eva.” Eva could only shake her head weakly. She felt as though all her energy had been drained from her body. Sebastian wasted no time, scooping her up into his strong a
Alpha Evan approached Tim with a heavy heart, his face etched with a combination of sorrow and determination. He could hardly bear to deliver the devastating news, but it was his responsibility as the pack's alpha. Taking a deep breath, he spoke softly but with unwavering resolve, "Tim, I need to share something with you..." Tim's eyes met Evan's, and concern etched across his face as he sensed the gravity of the alpha's tone. His heart skipped a beat, fearing the worst. He swallowed hard, bracing himself for the words that would shatter his world. His voice trembled as he asked, "What is it, Evan? Please, tell me." Evan took a moment to steady himself, aware of the crushing weight his words would have on Tim's soul. In a sombre tone, he began his painful revelation, "There was an attack, Tim... Tina... the rogues ambushed her. They outnumbered her and caught her off guard. Despite her valiant effort, she didn't survive." Time seemed to stand still as the words sank in. Tim's breath
Eva Smith sighed as the bus screeched to a stop. Looming out the window she saw people waiting for their loved ones. She knew she was not going to be as lucky as them. Nobody would be waiting for her since nobody had wanted to know since her mother had died in the accident her drug-addicted step father had caused. He had gone awol before the police could find him, leaving Eva practically an orphan. Since she was only seventeen years old she was still a child in the eyes of the law. That is how she had come to find herself back in the quiet town of Newpark. Today would be the first time Eva came face to face with her biological father, after ten years. Eva's parents had got divorced for reasons her mother never wanted to divulge. Eva had not seen her father since the day he walked out. At first, she received calls and letters but that did not take long to fizzle out when her father met someone new. Eva could not help but feel worthless and unimportant. Of course, her mother had
It was almost an hour before the twins and Eva’s father walked through the door. Eva had been awkwardly sitting on the sofa with Tina glaring at her in silence. Eva did no want to be here and it was obvious the feeling was mutual. The twins rushed through the door and bundled on Eva causing her to break out into a huge smile for the first time in forever. Evas dad stood in the shadow of the doorway studying the scene in fron tof him. He noticed how annoyed his wife looked sitting with a blank look on her face. The twins on the other hand were full of excitement and happiness to see their big sister. Tims eyes fell onto the tall slim young teenager, she was beautiful. Her long auburn hair was plaited in two french plaits and she had her mothers smile. Tim felt saddened that he had missed out on so much of his daughters life. He was determined to make up for it now though. “Everly Janice Smith, wow look how youve grown. Almost Taller than your old man, i see.” he entered
Eva woke to her alarm going off, she groaned as she pulled the duvet right up over her head and realised today was the day she started at her brand new school. Only one year! That's all it was going to be then she could go home where she longed to be more than anything. Eva had enjoyed their evening out last night, although Tina had not exactly made her feel welcomed, the twins certainly made up for their mother's hostility. Quickly getting up and throwing her feet over the edge of the bed she felt for her favourite fluffy slippers and shrieked when a hand grabbed her ankle and she heard two muffled giggles from underneath the bed. Eva rolled her eyes and grinned with amusement at her twin siblings trying to prank her like that. It was nice to have a little brother and sister around. “Oh I spy two little monsters that need a good tickle.” she teased as they both shrieked with laughter and jumped on her messy bed. Millie was thrilled to have a big sister to look up to while Eddi
Eva stepped up the pathway and took in the new surroundings that would now be her new school, during the last year of her school journey. She took a deep breath and gripped her bag tightly to her chest. “Name?” Eva stopped and looked at the tall figure blocking the doorway. He was huge, over six feet and had a clipboard in his hands. “Eva Smith,” she stated and the man glanced at her for a second before turning back to his clipboard. He grunted when he found her name and allowed her to enter. “This is your class schedule. She will show you where you need to be.” He handed Eva the information that she needed and pointed to a girl opposite. The girl was wearing a name tag which read Nessie. Eva noticed that she was a pretty girl with glasses and probably a bit of a nerd. She was dressed in a smart white shirt with a black tie that matched her black skirt and tights. Her shoes looked hideous to Eva but she didn't say a word about that. “Hi Eva. Welcome to our school. I will show
Eva was in so much trouble. Her father was going to be so furious when he found out about this. Not that Eva blamed him. She was annoyed at herself for letting someone tear her down and make her lose her temper on the first day at her new school. Tina was going to have a field day since she already hated having her stepdaughter living in her home. She would probably kick her to the curb if we had her way. Eva was sitting in the office waiting to be called in to see the head. Megan was opposite her and throwing a dagger looking her way. They were both silents. The door opened and the head teacher appeared. He did not look too impressed at the sight of the two girls in front of him.“What's the meaning of this?” he demanded to know. “It was my fault, sir,” Megan said through fake crocodile tears. Eva frowned wondering what she was up to. “I walked into her and in apologised but she lost her temper and attacked me.” Megan wept. Eva could not believe the nerve of this girl. She had
