Sage

I was in my bedroom, the only light coming from the dual monitors on the desk. Pack reports scrolled across the screen: border patrol logs, revenue from the lumber holdings, and a request for mediation between two lieutenants who couldn’t keep their fangs sheathed. Routine bullshit I could do half-asleep.

My phone sat beside the keyboard. I picked it up and thumbed a quick message to Alex.

“Update on Eve?”

Sent. Read. No reply.

Typical. The man treated texts like contagious diseases.

I let ten minutes pass while I signed off on the reports, then twenty. Nothing. Irritation prickled under my skin. I was about to hit call when the phone lit up. It was Alex calling.

I answered on the first ring. “Hey. I was literally just about to call you. How’s it going?”

A soft, tired sigh came through the line first.

My spine straightened. “What’s the problem? Where are you right now? How’s Eve?”

“Promise me you won’t get mad,” he said, voice low.

“What the fuck is going on, Alex?” I was already

  • Eve and the Devilish Alpha   Crash Into You

EveThat evening, an email notification slid quietly onto my screen while I was still seated at the dining table. I didn’t even need to open it to know what it was about. Still, I did. The lawyer was reminding me of the meeting scheduled for tonight, a formal sit-down with my soon-to-be husband, the contractual one, the stranger I had agreed to bind myself to on paper. The tone was polite, professional, and painfully official, and it made my chest tighten all over again. After dinner, I got dressed without much thought, hugged Mia when she came to see me off, and brushed off her offer to come along with a light laugh. She didn’t look convinced, but I insisted I would be fine.“You sure you don’t want me to come?” she asked at the door, arms already open for a hug. “Moral support. Or at least someone to glare at the lawyer if he gets condescending.”I laughed, but it came out thin. “I’ll be fine. It’s just signing papers. Boring stuff.”She squeezed me tight anyway. “Text me when you’r

  • Eve and the Devilish Alpha   The other woman

SageI left the club through the back exit, the morning air sharp enough to cut through the haze of rut still clinging to my skin. Her scent was on me! deep in my pores, under my nails, soaked into my shirt. I didn’t bother changing. I wanted it there. A reminder. The note she’d left was ash in my pocket now, burned with the end of my cigarette outside the door. Forget. As if she could scribble a few words and erase what happened. As if I’d let her.I slid into the driver’s seat of the Rover, the camera tucked safely in the inner pocket of my jacket. Insurance. Leverage. Proof. Whatever I needed to call it when the time came.My phone buzzed against my thigh before I even pulled away from the curb. I glanced at the screen. It was Dad. Of course.I let it ring twice more, then answered.“Where the hell are you?” he barked without greeting. “You missed the council meeting last night. Important allies, Sage. Borders, trade routes—ring any bells?”I smirked, starting the engine. Last nigh

  • Eve and the Devilish Alpha   It Happening!

EveI stepped out of the bathroom, the steam still clinging to my skin like a reluctant goodbye. The hot shower had washed away the sweat and the scent of last night, or at least most of it, but it couldn’t touch the ache settled deep in my chest. I smelled like lavender and vanilla now, clean and fresh, my hair twisted up in a towel turban while another white one hugged my body. It felt like armor, thin and temporary.I padded over to the vanity and sank into the chair, facing the mirror. My reflection stared back, eyes a little too wide, skin flushed from the heat. I reached for my skincare routine on autopilot, going through the motions like if I did them perfectly, everything else would fall into place. But as I smoothed the cream over my cheeks, a heavy sigh escaped me. God, I regretted it. All of it. If I could turn back time, I’d stop that night before it even started. Before answering the calls, before the food and drinks, before the dance, before the emotions turned into som

  • Eve and the Devilish Alpha   Cursed Fate

EveThe elevator doors slid shut behind me, sealing me into the small metal box with nothing but the hum of cables and the faint, lingering scent of him on my skin. Morning light filtered through the lobby windows downstairs, bright and accusing, like the city itself was judging me for what I’d done.I couldn’t believe I’d fallen asleep.Worse—I couldn’t believe I’d let him inside me. Not just inside me, but knotted. Claimed. Filled. My thighs pressed together instinctively as the elevator descended, and a fresh wave of warmth bloomed low in my belly.I squeezed my eyes shut. No. Not again. Not here. What the hell was wrong with me?I hadn’t taken my suppressants yesterday, which was stupid, careless, and arrogant of me, but I’d missed them before and never lost control like that. I have never begged. Never clung to a man like he was air and I was drowning. And definitely not Sage. Not the cold, possessive Alpha who looked at me like I was a trophy he hadn’t managed to mount yet. This

  • Eve and the Devilish Alpha   Knotting In Her

SageThe knot held us locked together, pulsing in slow, heavy waves that dragged aftershocks from both of us. Every few seconds her walls fluttered around the swell, milking another weak spurt from me until my vision blurred at the edges. I was spent, utterly wrecked, but the rut still thrummed low in my blood, content for the moment to simply keep us joined.Eve’s breath came in shallow, trembling pants against my throat. Her body was limp beneath mine, wrists still bound above her head, skin slick with sweat and slick with us. I could feel her heartbeat racing against my chest, frantic as a bird’s, and something fiercely protective rose up to drown the last of the rut’s aggression.I pressed my lips to the damp hair at her temple. “I’ve got you,” I murmured, again, softer this time. “Just breathe with me, baby.”She made a small, broken sound, half-laugh, half-sob, and turned her face into my neck.I felt the wet slide of tears against my skin and shifted carefully, rolling us onto
