A few weeks ran by and it was soon December. A few days before Lucas's birthday. Things seemed to be going in the right direction.

Bukky called once and Lucas didn't waste time to shun her, set boundaries, and forced her into respecting them or risk their partnership. Bukky had to relent and was forced to swallow the realization that she had lost her fuck mate.

"Fine." She had said. "I know you'll regret choosing someone else over me. When that day comes, I'll be here, waiting for you. For now, enjoy."
