“Who are they?” someone in the crowd asked, confusion spreading across the hall as the tension shifted sharply.

Three men stood in front, moving with the kind of calm authority that came from old money and unshakable power, and behind them marched six heavily built men, their steps firm, their expressions unreadable.

They looked like men who had seen too much and feared nothing, and the room went quiet in seconds.

“Don’t you know?” a lady whispered beside Nelson, her voice trembling with recognition. “They’re the famous key elites of the Mills Corporation.”

“You’re right,” Nelson said with a slow nod. “The one on the left is Kenny Scott, the current CEO of Mills Corp. And the one on the right is Felix Quinn, the company’s lead lawyer and founder of one of the biggest global law firms. You can’t mess with this family.”

A woman holding a glass of wine tilted her head thoughtfully. “Why would people like them suddenly show up here?” she asked, genuinely puzzled, her eyes shifting from Ne

  • Ex-Husband's Irrevocable Mistake   Chapter 24: “You Make Me Sick.”

"Bradley, let go of me!" Eva screamed, her voice ringing through the room as she struggled under him.Her hands pushed against his shoulders, her legs kicking, her chest heaving, but he pinned her down with the strength of someone who had drowned in alcohol and anger."Why are you so worked up?" he asked mockingly, raising her phone between them. Emerson's name flashed boldly on the screen, still ringing.Bradley tilted the phone, his thumb hovering dangerously close to the green button. "He hasn't even hung up. Don't you want to know what he's saying?""Bradley, stop!" she shouted, reaching for the phone, terror and humiliation choking her breath. But he only smirked, eyes dark with spite."Let's hear him, shall we?""Stop!" she screamed again.Too late. The call connected. And Bradley tossed the phone to the side, letting it fall on the bed near her head as Emerson's voice came sharply through the speaker."Eva, I'm downstairs. Eva? Why aren't you saying anything?"Bradley didn't gi

"Bradley…" Eva gasped as his arms tightened around her. Her voice trembled, and the air between them felt thick and wrong. "You've lost weight. Are you not eating properly?"Her concern slipped out before she could swallow it back. But when he lifted his head, the strong stench of alcohol slapped her senses sharply."Bradley, you're drunk," she said, twisting her face away.He didn't care. He didn't even blink. His grip only tightened around her waist, desperate and unstable."Let go of me!" she demanded, trying to pry herself free."No." His voice came in a rough whisper, thick from alcohol yet stubborn with possession. "You're not allowed to mention divorce again. You're mine."Before she could respond, he shoved aside the strap of her gown and forced his lips against her neck."Bradley, what are you doing?!" she cried, panicking now as she pushed at his chest with trembling hands. "Stop it! Let go of me!"Her body stiffened with fear as she struggled, but his grip was unyielding.T

“All the tests are complete,” Dr. Andrew Li said as he looked from Bradley to Amira. They sat opposite him in his office, the cold white lights above them doing little to soften the tension in the room. His tone was calm, professional, the same tone Eva had grown familiar with over the months she’d been under his care. “Please wait a while for the results. The nurse will bring them shortly. I have another patient to attend to.”There was something again about his tone that called for attention – as if something serious was wrong. But Bradley didn’t pay attention to it. His mind was already a whirlwind.Without waiting for their response, he stood, straightened his coat, and walked out of the office. The moment the door closed behind him, silence fell like a heavy curtain.Bradley didn’t speak. He sat stiffly, leaning forward slightly, elbows resting on his knees, eyes fixed on the floor as though trying to locate something he had lost. His hands were clasped tightly, the skin around h

“Amira,” Bradley called softly, his voice carrying that strained gentleness that comes only when a man is torn between shame and panic. His head dipped slightly, his shoulders heavy as if the whole room could see the weight dragging him down. “Behave.”Amira shifted where she stood, uncomfortable and trembling. Her eyes widened with hurt. “Mr. Cooper… are you abandoning me now?” Her voice cracked.Bradley didn’t answer. He couldn’t.He didn’t even know what words were safe to say. His lips parted once, then closed again. The silence stretched awkwardly. Then, as if she had rehearsed the scene, Amira’s knees gave way.She dropped instantly to the floor with a sharp gasp, clutching her chest dramatically as though she had been struck. “My chest… it hurts… it hurts so much,” she cried, her breathing suddenly shallow.A few guests gasped.Bradley rushed to her instinctively. “Amira!” he called, kneeling beside her.She lifted her face to him, eyes shimmering with perfectly timed tears. “M

“Eva, everyone in New York knows you’re greedy and materialistic,” Amira began again, her voice carrying across the hall with the confidence of someone who had always believed she could rewrite any narrative to suit herself. She stepped forward slightly, her posture tall, her tone sharp enough to draw attention from every corner of the room. “You even tried to extort Mr. Cooper for a million dollars just for drinking earlier. Now, because you see the Mills family looking for their daughter, you’re suddenly desperate to claim the spot. You want to climb the social ladder and force yourself into becoming a rich heiress.”Her words hung in the air like smoke, and at the end of her speech, she allowed a smirk to pull at her lips, that familiar triumphant curve she always wore whenever she thought she had torn Eva enough to leave her helpless. But this time, her victory was short-lived.“Enough!” Felix’s voice boomed through the hall like a thunderstrike, so sudden and commanding that Amir
