Danna grew increasingly anxious when she didn’t get a reply for a long time. “Kael, do you really despise me?”

Kael rubbed his temples. “What are you thinking? Of course not. Danna, don’t be like this. I’ve got something important going on overseas, so I’m hanging up now.”

This time, before Danna could say anything more, he ended the call.

Back in Elaris, Danna stared at the ‘beep’ from her phone, her face flushing red with anger.

No. She couldn’t just sit around and do nothing.

Everyone knew by now that the Rhodes Group had lost the land in the west of the city. Their cash flow had dried up, and they were at odds with the three top families. Right now, everyone was laughing at Kael’s misfortune.

She hadn’t been able to resist calling him, just to test the waters and see where he stood.

But now, because everyone in their circle knew she was Kael’s girl

Atlas hugged Naomi as they entered. As soon as they stepped through the door, it seemed like the grandmother and grandson had a target in mind. One hurriedly pulled Naomi to sit down, and the other rushed up to Atlas and stopped, shyly calling out "Brother."Mona couldn’t bear to watch. She might as well head to the kitchen.Oh, but the kitchen didn’t need her either; the old man was there preparing things."Atlas, Naomi, you can sit for a while. The food will be ready soon."Naomi and Atlas nodded at her.Mona looked at her son who was surrounding Atlas, and the old lady who was surrounding Naomi. With nothing to do, she turned and went upstairs. She might as well focus on taking care of herself and put on a face mask since she still had time.Sigh, her son wasn’t really her son. Maybe she should just be the most beautiful grandmother from now on.Downstairs.The old lady enthusiastically pulled Naomi in: "Na

In the distance, Danna watched the scene unfold, her heart filled with resentment.Naomi already had so many good things, so why did she still need to keep Kael in her thoughts? Fortunately, fortunately, she still had an escape route. There had been so much happening at the party today that Naomi had forgotten she originally planned to meet Paulina to find that mysterious agent.Paulina looked at her lazily. “I knew you’d forget.”Naomi felt embarrassed. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”Paulina smiled slyly. “How could I let my future boss apologize to me? Here, I did not disappoint you!”Naomi looked at the business card Paulina handed her and smiled.Thinking back, she really had ‘fallen for’ Paulina at first sight. She had to admit, her judgment was spot on.After the party, Naomi had planned to ride in the same car as Paulina, but she was forcefully directed into a ca

When Naomi and Atlas returned to the banquet hall, Melvin, with his sharp eyes, immediately noticed that Naomi’s face was flushed. He squinted and asked, “What have you two been doing behind my back?”Naomi’s ears began to turn red as well. She couldn’t help but feel embarrassed thinking about the man’s actions just now. Not only had he openly talked about having children with her, but he had also done this and that to her. She was completely unprepared.Bertrand, who was beside them with Miley, had a neutral expression, but his eyes were clearly teasing them.Atlas raised an eyebrow. “Of course, we’ve been doing things you single people wouldn’t understand.”“...”Who will deal with this monster?Melvin pressed his hand to his chest. “I never knew you were such a person!”His overly dramatic reaction made everyone else stifle their laughter. Bertrand

On the other side, Darian and Atlas, two people of different types, stood there, their eyes locked in a silent battle understood only by themselves. One was refined and gentle, the other cold and distant. There was no denying that both of them, no matter who, were formidable figures in their own right.“My wife will not trouble you, sir,” Atlas spoke first, even placing his hands firmly on Naomi’s waist in a clear gesture, signaling that she was his woman.Darian wasn’t angry: “I’ve long heard of Mr. Knox’s great reputation. I thought you would inherit the Westfields business in the U.S., but I never expected to meet you here again.”Atlas remained unchanged, but Naomi furrowed her brows. Who exactly was this person, and how did he know so much about them?“Well, we aren’t familiar enough to discuss such matters without introducing ourselves,” Atlas replied.Though he didn’t know who this man was, the instinct between men told him tha

On the other side, Naomi felt that her mood had been completely ruined by the arrival of two people.Danna and Kalea almost arrived at the same time in front of her.At first, Naomi had been having a lively conversation with Miley:"...Ugh, the nuisances are back!"Miley, being from the entertainment industry, didn't know Kalea, but she was quite familiar with Danna—though it was the kind of familiarity that was unpleasant. They had worked together in the same production before, and Danna had been nothing but a flashy white snake. She gave Naomi a look and then left.Naomi didn’t stand up but leisurely stayed seated, acting as if she didn’t notice the two of them.It was easy to imagine how dark their faces must have been.Especially Kalea's."Naomi, don’t get too smug."She even glanced at Danna as she spoke, her tone full of arrogance. "What are you here for? I want to talk to Naomi, you

  • Ex-Wife's Revenge: Falling For His Greatest Enemy   An Imitation

Although Atticus knew that Grandpa Augustus's family harbored malicious intentions, it was the first time he had heard that they had once planned to disregard his cousin."Alaric, there's nothing wrong with Atlas taking charge. Why do you feel so strongly about it?"“Hmph. You really think nothing’s wrong? Atlas is just a lackey — the Westfields should carry the name Westfield, not Knox. Why should we bow to him?”"Isn't it because we're not capable enough, cousin?"Atticus, lost in thought, had always been proud of having a cousin like Atlas. Such an amazing person, how could he not be proud? He really didn’t understand Alaric’s mindset. The words deeply hurt Alaric. He looked at Atticus with disdain, but when his gaze turned to Old Master, there was a hint of caution in his eyes: "Grandpa, now the company is entirely under my control, and the Westfields is in my hands. Even the people from the devil’s den cannot say anything. I
