Chapter 6

Alice sat in the dimly lit living room, tears streaming down her face as she thought about how to raise the money to treat her son Harry'sleukemia. Despite having a steady job as a messenger in the biggest company in town, the medical bills and expenses were piling up, leaving her feeling helpless and alone. As she sat there, lost in her thoughts, she heard the pitter-patter of tiny footsteps coming towards her.

Next thing she knew, her four quadruplet children, Harry, Harriet, Henry and Hanna, appeared in front of her. The sight of their little faces, so full of love and concern, made her heart ache with both sadness and joy. She tried to wipe the tears from her eyes, but to no avail.

"What's wrong, Mum?" Harriet asked, climbing onto her mother's lap, her small arms wrapped around Alice's neck.

Alice hugged Harriet tightly and shook her head. "Nothing, sweetheart, just thinking."

"About Harry?" Henry asked, his soft voice laced with concern.
