"SO YOU MEAN you're going out with one of your patients?" Emily asked with a giggle. "Isn't that, like, against the law?"

I sighed and rubbed my forehead. "I am not going out with Nick," I muttered, biting into the bagel Emily brought when she showed up at my office half an hour ago. "It was just a platonic breakfast coffee."

"I don't think he will see it that way," Emily said. "I think he sees you as his girlfriend already."

I'm afraid she's right, I sighed again dejectedly. "I will have to dissuade him from that thought." I munched on my bagel mindlessly. After a few seconds of silence, I decided to wave the thought aside. "Tell me about your fancy time with your fiancé," I said.

Her face brightened. "Oh, it was the best." She said, leaning on the table. "We had so much fun, seeing places, and oh, I don't want to tell you about how the night went. It was splendid."
