AVERY

THE SOUND OF Adriano's deep breathing made me rouse up from my relaxed state. I looked at him, sleeping peacefully. He must not have had a good night's sleep last night after I took his bed. Maybe he slept on the couch.

He had a boyish look, looking almost angelic. I pressed a kiss to his lips and deftly eased myself from his embrace. A smile was plastered on my lips as I clutched a blanket and wrapped it around my chest, and went to the kitchen. I made myself a cup of coffee because my mind was still foggy and reeling from the sex.

When the coffee was ready, I poured myself a cup and took it to my living room with the blanket trailing behind me. I made myself comfortable in my love seat and turned on my laptop. I was not going to wake up Adriano. He could sleep for as much as he wanted here, but I wanted to get some work done while he slept. So I put on my glasses, took a sip of my steaming coffee, and began working on the paperwork of some of my clients.
