I leaned back in my chair, staring at the city skyline through the glass walls.

"Has Raphael Thorne responded to the proposal yet?" I asked, keeping my voice calm.

James shook his head. "Not yet, sir. I’ve checked twice. Nothing."

I rubbed my jaw, my lips pressing into a thin line.

"Sir, do you want me to follow up again tomorrow?"

"No," I said, my eyes narrowing. "Not yet. Let him come to it himself. We don’t need to push."

James typed something into his tablet. "Got it, sir. You want me to prepare the presentation materials just in case?"

I smirked. "Yes. Have it ready. Even if he doesn’t respond immediately, I want to be prepared to show him exactly what this proposal can do."

I let a faint smile cross my lips. This isn’t just a proposal — it’s something big. And knowing the weight the Thorne name carries, I want him on board — because there’s no one better suited to make this happen.

"You can leave," I mumbled and just as James was about to step out, my voice ran
