Hayden clenched his fist as his looked coldly at him.

“who are you?” Hayden asked his words dipped in sarcasm.

Jaylen hadn’t expected this, as far as he knew, Hayden wasn’t even in the city that day let alone standing here, breathing the same air as him, staring down at Briella like he belonged in the room. And the worst part was that he didn't disguise because he was so sure.“I should be asking you that,” Jaylen said at last, voice quiet but cold. His posture was stiff, his knuckles pale as he clenched the railing of Briella’s hospital bed.Hayden took a half step forward. “This is my…”He stopped himself, the word getting tangled in his throat. And for a second, the room shrank. They had the same broad shoulders. The same height, same sharp jawline and eye shape. The kind of resemblance that wasn’t born out of coincidence.Hayden’s brows furrowed as he studied the man in front of him. “Who are you?” he asked again.Jaylen hesit

You scared the hell out of us.”Her lips parted, dry and trembling. “How…?”“You’re safe in the Hospital.” He grabbed a cup from the side table, carefully raised her head just enough to let her sip. She coughed.“Easy, small sips.” He supported her, holding he
