"Okay, thanks, Alana," I replied.

As soon as I sent that message, Alana sent over the location.

Since she knew Danny would be coming, she had booked a well-known club in Jeswood instead of a bar. The environment was quiet, and children were allowed.

Jane leaned over. "Is this from Frank?"

"No, it's from his cousin."

I handed the phone to her. "It's Frank's birthday tomorrow. Want to come along?"

Jane was still upset about the afternoon's events. "Are you sure you want to go?"

"It's probably a misunderstanding. His friend will likely be there too. We could go and clear things up in person."

If it was a misunderstanding, it was best to resolve it with a face-to-face conversation.
