Roseline’s POV

I was deeply touched by his gentleness but then I knew that he was just being grateful.

Well…. that was fine with me.

I didn’t need to have romantic feelings towards him in order to save him. I’ll still do it even if he didn't love me—he’d saved me several times and I owed him this time.

The feelings he evoked in me by his sweet words were just emotional comfort during the time of my weakness. I didn’t need to let them get into my stupid head.

I swore, I’d never expect anything more from him. He’ll never look at me in a romantic way.

At the thought, I felt deeply saddened in my heart. Who wouldn’t love to be with a man as handsome, muscular and filthy rich like him?
