LOGINThe air was sucked out of the cafe the moment he stepped inside. He walked like he owned the place with his cold and intense eyes locked on me.
There was not a single per cent of remorse or guilt in them.
He flicked his fingers and suddenly his men came forward and dragged the staff away. Lily screamed my name once before the broken door slammed shut behind her.
He walked inside casually as if nothing had happened. My heart shattered in my chest when he threw the nameplate away.
My palms fisted on my side, my jaw clenched and my eyes narrowed at him.
“What?” He drawled, turning his head to me, “No welcome drink today?”
I stomped to him with the urge to punch his mouth and break his jaw so he can't say anything anymore but I didn't want to get my hands dirty by touching him.
"Why the hell did you do this?" My voice came out louder than I expected "To feed your ego? Are you satisfied now?"
One side of his lips curled up into a smirk as he took a small step toward me, swallowing up my personal space. His large frame towered above me but I didn't back down. I was seeing him up this close after a long time but nothing mattered.
I was blinded by pure anger. I can't see anything other than red. I didn't blink while I stared right into his eyes.
"No," he chuckled. "Not yet." his eyes moved around my face, lingering on my lips longer than required
“This?” He gestured to the broken café. “This is me being gentle, sweetheart. You remember how I am when I’m not gentle… in and out of the bedroom. Don’t you?”
He smirked
"I hate you!" I spat
He laughed and looked away.
"I don't expect anything else from you. And baby..." His eyes snapped at me. "I hate you enough to wish I'd ended you the day you ended me. But now when I am back, I don't want to give you such an easy punishment."
Out of nowhere his hand came up towards my face. I was quick in moving my head away.
"Don't you dare touch me!" I spat through clenched teeth.
One of his eyebrows shot up in amusement. I inhaled and exhaled sharply to control myself.
"You look cute when angry," he chuckled softly. "How much I missed this fire of yours. It would be fun..."
"GET OUT!"
I shouted and took a step back when his hand was about to reach out for my waist.
His eyes widened slightly. Just a centimetre before coming back to normal.
"If you think by doing this you will bring me on my knees, asking for your mercy, then think again!" I spat venomously, "Just get out of my place, right now."
"Your place?" He laughed, throwing his head back.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk."
My eyebrows drew in confusion as he started walking around me. I could feel his eyes burning holes in my body.
"This place is mine."
He came in front of me, pocketed his hand and leaned forward slightly to assert his words.
"Every single thing here belongs to me." His eyes moved down my body.
My breath hitched in my throat, and my eyes widened. Ripples of shock went through my entire being.
"What are you..."
"I have bought this place from your so-called landlord," he smirked.
I felt the ground slipping from my feet.
How could he do this?
I thought of building it back but he has ruined that hope of mine too.
"Now you, or anyone else, can never ask me to leave this place," he raved.
Wounded!
He did all this because I wounded his ego.
I shivered when he took a small step towards me, breathing in the same air.
"And you already know how possessive I am of my belongings. Don't you?"
His eyes narrowed at me. Mischievousness was dancing in them. I swallowed hard as my eyes stung with tears. I wanted to cry but not in front of him.
I know he wanted to see me breaking so I inhaled a deep breath, squared my shoulders and straightened up.
"Congratulations on your new possession, Mr Vaughn!"
Stating that I walked past him to mind my way. There was no point in arguing with him because he doesn't have a brain to think rationally.
"Cynthia." I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard my name from his mouth after years. Breath sucked out of my throat. I didn't turn but I was all ears to him. "Make sure you don't cross my path again because then the next thing I will be claiming will be you!"
"I am not an object to be claimed," I said over my shoulder.
I didn’t give him time to answer. I walked away, but his voice chased me like a curse.
"You are. My most precious object."
Ignoring his words, I ran out of the cafe only to find the people still gathered around. I saw sympathy in their eyes, which I didn't want. I didn’t want anyone’s pity.
I ran to my car, leaned against it and breathed heavily, trying to calm myself down. I pressed my palm against my chest. I was afraid it might burst out any moment.
I would have to be strong. Once, he stood against the world for me. Now, he is the world standing against me.
His eyes were telling that he is not letting go of the past so easily.
My phone rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. I pulled it out of my pocket.
Adrian?
I inhaled another deep breath, wiped the sweat from my face, and swallowed hard to sound normal.
"Hello Adrian."
"Hello Cynthia. Is everything fine there? Are you okay?" He asked.
My eyes drifted to my ruined cafe. I wanted to scream and tell him everything. How the monster ruined not only my years of hard work but also a way to keep my daughter alive.
"Cynthia, are you there?" His words snapped me out of my words.
"Yeah!" I cleared my throat.
I can't say anything more than this. He would easily catch my lie.
"Okay... Cynthia, listen to me." I could hear him breathing heavily. "I am taking Aurora to the hospital. Please come. Fast"
"Hospital?" The colour drained from my face, and suddenly I forgot about everything else…
I tried not to look in the mirror while I showered because every inch of my body reminded me of the previous night. But it was almost impossible. Because, Lucien made sure that one wall of the bathroom was fully covered with the mirror. He was doing everything on purpose to break my spirit. As I stripped away the remains of my pride and stepped into the steam, the hot water hit my skin like a thousand needles. I let out a sharp hiss, my hands flying to the marble wall for support. The water ran over my hips, my stomach, and the hollow of my throat, stinging the marks he had left behind. It felt like he hadn't used me, he had tried to overwrite my very DNA with his touch.Holding my tears back I tried to wash away the feeling of his hands and the way my own body had betrayed me but I couldn't. After the shower, I wrapped myself in the bathrobe and came out into the room. There I found a huge wardrobe. Lucien always plans things ahead. I am sure I will find something inside it.
Cynthia's POV I was sleeping on clouds, far away from all worldly tensions, when suddenly a sharp pain between my thighs made me hiss.I tried to move, only to groan louder. My body felt too heavy to lift. Every muscle in my core felt overstretched, reminding me of the night I had spent with the beast.Slowly, I came to my senses and realized I was not on cloud nine.I was on his bed.My heart sank when the images from last night burned into the back of my eyelids.I could still feel him all over me.His groans echoed in my head. His fingers felt imprinted into my flesh, as if they had marked every inch of my body. He had touched me like he was trying to erase any other memory from my skin. Like he wanted me to remember only him.Lucien had truly lost control last night. He had been relentless.Every time I thought he was satisfied, he would flip me over, drag me back to the edge, and start again, leaving me gasping and shaking. Before I opened my eyes, I felt the cold emptiness bes
Lucien was far from done. His face was masked with raw, primal need as he watched her reach the peak with a predatory intensity. He drove even harder and faster. His movements became frantic and desperate as he chased his own pleasure without caring about her. It felt like he was trying to drown five years of loneliness in a single moment of possession. He felt her thighs becoming tight again. She started breathing heavily but he refused to let her go. He gripped her hips so tightly his knuckles turned white. His breath became jagged and guttural growls. "Not yet," he hissed, his eyes going pitch-black as he reached his own limit. "Stay right there... stay with me, Cynthia." He gave three more powerful and grounding thrusts, each deeper than the last until he finally reached his own climax. With a low and animalistic growl, he slammed into her core one last time, pinned her into the mattress with the full force of his weight as he came deep inside her and she also
Cynthia inhaled a deep breath when Lucien aligned himself against her. He held her hip with a bruising grip while the other hand traced the delicate curve of her spine. His fingers left a trail of fire in their way. He moved just enough to bring himself against her, coating his manhood with her slick moisture. "Ahh..."Cynthia’s eyes snapped shut, her fingers curling into the silk sheets as she waited for him to complete her. She was feeling utterly ashamed of herself, her mind screaming in protest, yet she couldn't control how her body was betraying her.Her body was practically trembling with need. Lucien was just internally smirking looking at her at his mercy. He started rubbing against her even more vigorously. He wanted her to realize exactly how much power he held over her body, how easily he could manipulate her into a state of pure, mindless need. Her knuckles turned white as she clutched the sheets, and her toes curled in anticipation and just when she was about to come
Third Person POV "Bring it on, Lucien" Cynthia's words echoed in Lucien's head and he took it as a challenge. Five years! Five damn years, he has waited for this. He has burned in darkness, in silence, in pain to be with Cynthia, and now when she is on his bed, offering herself to him willingly he couldn't hold back anymore. The fire in her eyes was arousing him even more. He wanted her to surrender to him, to cry when he took her but seeing the defiance in her eyes, her unbreakable spirit, turned him even more. A loud moan escaped Cynthia's mouth, when he grabbed her waist tightly, pushed her more into the mattress, and crushed his body weight over her. He had enough distance. Now he didn't even want the air to pass through them. Lucien was quick in claiming her mouth. She tried to match the pace, but Lucien was relentless. One of his hands moved up and his fingers twisted in her hair, to hold her face still as he explored every corner of her mouth, sucked on
My heart was pounding against my ribs when we entered his master suite, yet there was a different kind of calm settling over me. A kind of calm, I haven't felt in years. My knuckles turned white when I clutched Lucien's shirt tightly. He leaned slightly forward. The adrenaline from the escape, the hospital, and the overwhelming weight of my emotions had left me with zero energy. I wasn’t even sure if my legs would hold me if he let go of me. He looked down at me for a second. The shadows of the room played across his sharp features, making him look like a predator. He then took a few more steps forward and made me sit on a wooden chair. My hold on his shirt loosened slowly as I let him go.He went to his closet and quickly returned with a thick, gray towel, and tossed it towards me.I rubbed my hair while he shrugged off his coat, followed by his shirt.Even in my exhaustion, I couldn't take my eyes off him. I watched the way his muscles moved under the dim amber light of the room
