Chapter 03

On the second day of Carver's wedding to Violeth Fletcher, Carver leaves the Fletcher residence to get some fresh air and see what it's like outside.

The bright white match burned the end of the cigarette in his mouth.

Although Carver was a nice guy and never freaky like other guys who liked to get drunk and play with the ladies of the night, Carver had a habit of smoking at least once a day.

A puff of smoke rose high.  The smell of tobacco mixed with the sweet taste of cigarettes is so delicious.

That morning Carver had not eaten breakfast, the first time he shared a meal with the Fletchers he was considered a trash son-in-law.

Carver sat briefly in a lounger on the pavement.  Eats a slice of brown bread and sips on a bottle of water he bought at the store.

For some reason, Carver always imagines the beauty and beauty of Violeth's body, which has pure white skin without the slightest dirt.  Even the woman who has now become his wife has a very distinctive body odor.

Moreover, Violeth's smile and beautiful face always make her heart flutter, even though she is in an impromptu marriage without love.  Carver also doesn't know if Violeth loves him too or if he's just a man out to satisfy her lust.

Carver wished he hadn't looked at her cynically and didn't look down on the man.

In his daydream seeing the highway that was so crowded with passing vehicles, a glossy black BMW suddenly stopped on the road right in front of him.

Carver stopped and put down all of his food, watching a man in dark glasses wearing a black suit exit the car door on the right.

The man in the suit and glasses stepped toward Carver.  The man's hair was shiny with a thin mustache that looked charismatic like a high official in a company.

Carver stood as the man walked over.

"Young master?"  The man took off his sunglasses and walked further while saying.

"Sorry, who are you? I don't know you at all," Carver replied.

"Young Master Carver, we have been looking for you for a long time, finally we can find your whereabouts," the man replied.

"Young Master Carver, come on in the car. I'll take you home!"  said the man as he opened the passenger side car door.

"Wait a minute sir! Who are you? I don't know you at all," Carver asked, not wanting to get into the car.

"I'm your father's confidant!"

"My dad died when I was little, you don't make up silly stories!"  Carver looked at the man seriously.

"You will believe it once you follow your father's whereabouts, Young Master Carver," the man said in a calm tone.

"Come on, Young Master. I will lose my job if I don't bring you home soon. Your father can fire me," added the man.

"Fine. But be careful if you dare lie to me."  Carver felt somewhere between annoyed and sorry that the man would lose his job, so he finally complied and followed him wherever he went in his BMW.

Carver even left his groceries on a chair in the parking lot.

Not long after, the car that Carver was driving turned toward a building like the king's royal property.  Cars and several vehicles were neatly lined up in a place that was used as a parking lot.

"Young Master Carver, this is it," the man said as he pulled into the parking lot.

But Carver didn't hear what the man was saying, because he subconsciously glanced at the red supercar that seemed to be closest to the company building.

"Young Master Carver, this is your father's company!"  The man immediately got out of his car and opened the door for Carver.

Carver got out of the car.  Soon several people outside focused on Carver getting out of the car with a man the company's CEO trusted.

"Leopard Company?"  Carver spoke softly.

"That's right. Isn't the name 'Leopard' the Young Master's last name?"  asked the man.

"Yes, that's true. But...." Carver himself didn't seem to believe what was happening, but somehow he couldn't refuse the invitation of a man who claimed to be his father's confidante.

"Come on, Young Master Carver, I'll take you to your father's study," the man said, using his palm to lead Carver to follow him.

Knock the door.

Arriving in front of a room, the man knocked on the door, until he heard a voice from inside the room.

ENTER!!!

Carver waited outside because he didn't ask her in right away.

"What's wrong, Richard? Have you ever heard of my son?"

"That's right, sir."

Outside the room, Carver learns that the man who asked him is named Richard.

Seconds later, a man named Richard called out to Carver from inside the room.

"Young Master Carver, please come in."

Carver stepped into the room, suddenly cool air gushed from several air conditioners installed on several sides of the room.

"Carver? I finally got to see you again."  The man in the suit said as he came closer and hugged Carver.

The man in the suit is Jackson Leopard, CEO of the company Leopard Enterprise.

Carver didn't know anything about the man, so he just sat there and didn't say anything.

"Carver, daddy missed you so much."

"I'm sorry, but my father has not been around since I was a child. My mother always said that my father died from drunkenness."

Duarr!!!

Like being struck by lightning on a sunny day.  Jackson Leopard was silent at the words of his son who had just returned after decades of separation.

Richard was silent, not daring to interfere in this matter.  He stepped out of the bedroom door to wait outside.

"Carver, daddy is alive! Maybe you forgot daddy's face, but I will never forget yours even though we were separated since you were 5 years old. Daddy told Richard to look for you with this photo!"  Jackson shows a photo of Carver when he was 5 years old.
