***Jacob’s POV***
I cursed after reading Dale’s report about Lily. So the woman was on the move! She probably discovered the tricks I used to oust her, and I should be ready for her revenge. Then, I decided to leave my room at about seven in the evening to check on Bethany.
“What on earth do you think you’re doing, Bethany?” I asked in disbelief when I saw her casually sitting on the sofa while watching television.
“I was bored,” she replied briefly.
“Bethany, let me remind you that you are not a guest here so don’t act like one!” I snapped at her before going to the cabinet where I kept the bullwhip that I previously used on her. She seemed perplexed at my tone.
