***Bethany’s Pov***

Sleep has always been my way of escaping reality. I closed my eyes and forced myself to sleep. A few hours later, however, I was awakened by someone, and when I opened my eyes, I saw my father standing near my bed. I glared at him again before closing my eyes, but he did not leave and remained standing!

"Just leave me alone," I said as I wrapped the coverlet around my entire body.

"We have to deal with your situation, Bethany." He made an announcement.
