CHAPTER-7 Argument

"Naina," Sameer mumbled her name staring at the girl who was sitting in front of him and then at her file.

But Puneet snatches it from him by pulling it.

"Yes, Naina. But not your Naina. There is not only one girl named Naina in the world. There is more. So now change this shocking expression on your face, Okay?"

Puneet yelled in whispered near his ear. And then pass a smile to Naina not wanting to make the situation awkward.

"Yes, you're right. Why would she come here? And also she has no degree. It's just I'm overthinking." Sameer said in low voice.

Naina was hella nervous. If he got to know that she is the Naina who is his so-called wife then her all effort will go in vain. She was continuously praying to her God to save her.

"Doesn't he keep talking about Naina too much these days? Tomorrow he was saying that she cooked very well. Just like his Maa sa."

"And now he is imagining her in other girls. This idiot hasn't seen her face yet still imagining her as another girl. Even if Naina, my sister-in-law would have come here for real, even then he won't be able to recognize her. Duffer,"

Puneet mumbled in his mind and again gave his attention to Naina.

"Ms, Naina. I think you don't have any problem working with SPS constructions in the future.  Congratulations. Wait outside till your name is published."

Puneet said and Naina got happy and excited at the same time. Her first job. She nailed it with her qualification.

After giving a very warm smile and gratitude she went out with excitement.

"Hurray!" She jumped from the floor in excitement, gaining everyone's attention. They gaze at her with a look as if they have seen an alien there.

After realizing the situation she calm herself down and stood there being a good girl with an awkward smile.

"I did it. Yes! Yes! Yes! I did it. I did it. I did it. Now I'll show, you what can i do. Taking me lightly, you have made a big mistake Kunwar sa. You don't know me yet. But now I'll make you know who am i. Be ready."

"Today I got a job here. Now I'm an independent girl. Who can take care of her living expenses? Now I don't have to rely on your so-called money."

"Today I'm grateful to Pitaji and Maa sa. If they had not made me capable like this, then I would never have reached this point. I wish them happiness and prosperity."

"Today I got this little success of my life and the credit goes to only Pitaji and Maa sa."

"Whatever Pitaji(Father) has done for me, My father might not even be able to do it. And Maa sa(Mother) treated me like her own child. And Bhai Sa (Elder Brother) treated me like his little sister. I can never return their debt in my life."

"Therefore, whatever is happening here, I will not even let them detect anything about it. Not a single thing. They'll feel sad as well as guilty for their son's deed."

"I want to share such great happiness with someone. But with whom? I can't let anyone know about this job.  Then I'm done. What a bad luck!"

Her heart flooded with disappointment and she sat on a chair nearby her being downhearted.

Sameer's Cabin

"Sameer, What's wrong with you? You are looking off today. Are you feeling disturbed by something?"

Puneet asked seeing him uncomfortable.

"Yes. I'm feeling uncomfortable since I have seen that girl named Naina. I don't know why? But it's making me feel restless."  Sameer said massaging his temple.

"Wooow! It's a miracle. Do you even remember other girls' names except for your Siya? Never seen before, you remember someone's name!" Puneet said in a teasing tone.

"Yes, 'cause it's my so-called wife's name as well. That's why I can't, even if I want to forget that. And maybe that's why I am disturbed. She is a headache. And now, even her name started becoming my headache. Ughh!"

He said pulling his hair in frustration.

"Chill dude, Chill. You're getting hyper. I don't understand your case. According to you, she is a gold digger, selfish, evil-minded, and money-minded girl."

"Then you said you will never see her face in your life. And the other day you say you like her food. Her cooking is mind-blowing."

"Okey. And now you are saying you even have a problem with her name. Yaar really? Do you even know what you think of her?"

Puneet poured his frustration on him.

"Okey, you want to know what is my real problem. Right? Okay, let me tell you."

"She herself a problem. First of all, she has entered my life forcefully. As soon as she entered my life she made my love life tangled."

Sameer also let out his all frustrations.

"When are you going to tell Rasiya about Naina? You can't keep her in dark. She has the full right to know about this. Don't take much time to tell her. Otherwise, it will be too late." Puneet put his point in front of him.

"I don't know, how I'm going to tell her about this. She will never be able to take this."

Sameer sighed, being a helpless person.

"Then How did you tell  Naina about the relationship between you and Rasiya that too on your wedding night?"

"When you confessed this matter to her did you ever think how would have she felt? No."

Puneet raise from his seat and tell at him pointing his finger at him. "You only care, about what you feel? How will your Rasiya feel? You Don't give a shit what others feel."

He let out a rush of air and again sit down on his chair. "Yaar, she is also a human. She also has feelings. What about her? Do you ever give a thought about it?" A gush of disappointment was flashing on his face when he was saying those words to his friend.

"She doesn't love me. What she loves is my money. She loves the luxurious life given by me. You don't know this small village person, how greedy they are. How mean are those people. They don't care about anyone else's feelings.  They just think of their benefits."

Sameer said shamelessly without knowing them.

"I don't know how she is? Neither I have seen her nor I talk to her. But  how can you say with so much confidence that Naina does not love you?" Puneet asked waiting for his answer.

"Because when I had told her that I love someone else. Not a single word came out of her mouth. And her silence proves that she does not love me."

"If she does, she would have reacted to it. But no, she didn't." Sameer said very simply. But little does he know, how much pain she endured at that time. And how her heart shattered into million pieces.

"Sameer, not every girl is like Rasiya.  Who takes more interest in showing her feelings to others. Some girls keep their feelings and pain inside themselves. They don't like to show their feeling in front of strangers."

" Particularly, those who do not care about the feelings of the front person. Understood?"

Puneet was trying to put some sense in his brain so that his rust brain got some improvement. But alas!

"It seems you know a lot about girls. Who is not able to make a girlfriend till this time, and now that person is giving me a lecture. Wow!"

Sameer clapped his hands and rolled his eyes with irritation.

"Yes, I don't understand girls. But I respect them. Not like you. Who even can't give respect to his wife."

He said honestly.

"What did you say?" Sameer yelled in anger and stood from his chair banging the table with his hand.

"What happened? Do my words hurt your ego? Truth is bitter. Learn to accept them. If you can't accept her as your life partner then at least give her some respect. Lest you feel regret later." Puneet also stood from his chair and gave him some good advice.

"You don't know her Puneet so don't feel pity for her. You don't know how clever she is."

Sameer tried to make him believe his words.

"Then I would love to know about her by meeting her personally?" Puneet snapped furiously.

"What? Are you gone mad? Do you even know what are you saying? You don't believe me? I'm telling you, she is not a good person."

"Within two weeks. Within two weeks you have come to know about her character? Whom you didn't see with a single glance, you know everything about her?"

"Huhh! Whatever you think about her, you just believe that only. It doesn't matter to you what is the actual truth."

Puneet yelled at him banging on the glass table.

"Puneet, You are arguing with me because of that girl, who has come just a few days ago? "

Sameer hit on the table loudly. His luck was good that the table didn't break otherwise he would have gotten hurt with that.

"The issue is not who I am fighting for. The point is your perspective is wrong. As your friend, I must show you the right path. But you don't want to listen to others." Shaking his head she said.

"Okay, I'll give you some time. So that you can realize what's your mistake."

Saying that Puneet left his cabin in rage banging the door behind him.

"He has gone mad." Saying that Sameer fall on his chair exhausted.

"But I should tell everything to Siya soon. So before she gets to know from somewhere else. Now I can't keep her in dark anymore."

He sighed and started thinking about how to explain his marriage matter to Rasiya.

Time was already evening at 5:30 pm. After having something from the cafeteria she waited for her name to be published and signed the contract.

Within more than half an hour they publish the names who got selected.

"Ms. Naina. Designing department as a junior designer." She read her name from the screen and then exclaimed with joy, "Yes! My name."

She was in the nine clouds seeing her name on the screen.

After signing the contract Naina was going out but Rasiya called her by her name.

"Ms. Naina. What kind of dress you are wearing? It's a company not any kind of fancy dress competition so that you came here wearing these fancy dresses. Look at the others and what they are wearing and look at yourself girl?

From tomorrow wear something suitable for an office outfit. Now go."

Naina nod her head yes and walked out from there.

"What the hell? Why these people are so nosy? Why do they have an interest in what I wear and what not? I don't even have money to buy new clothes, what do I do now?"

Naina mattered getting annoyed. And walked off from the office. Taking a taxi, she gets back to their apartment.

She was unlocking the door with keys suddenly she heard someone's voice from her behind.

"Hey, girl!  Who are you?" The person asked her what made Naina starlet. She almost jumped out of fear.

Naina gulped in fear. What she would say? Who is she? She turned and found a girl standing there with knitting brows and folding her hands.

Wearing a black top and black pants with a red and black color shirt. A small bag was hanging across her shoulder.

"You're not Sameer's girlfriend. Then who are you? Tell me the truth."

She asked in a serious tone with a rough and tough face.

And There Naina was in a deep dilemma thinking about what should she answer?
