Julia

I walked into the Excel VIP Club in a provocative silver short dress with a matching purse, ready to let my imagination run wild. I didn’t know how far I was willing to go, but I was ready to try.

I found a spot, sipped my glass of sparkling whiskey, and then my gaze fell upon the most breathtaking man I had ever seen. I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t. He looked young, but something dark in his eyes suggested he wasn’t as young as he appeared. He smiled at me, and I suddenly found the strength to look away.

Wait! He’s getting up and approaching my direction. Is he coming for me? I wondered.

“Hello,” he said, plastering a smile on his face.

Lord! He was drop-dead gorgeous. His dark eyes pierced into mine, sending a sweet tingling all over my body. I tried to smile back, but his intense gaze held me captive, like he was drawing me in. His thick brows framed his eyes perfectly. Was there anything imperfect about him? His high cheekbones were attractively defined complementing his strong jawline. His black hair was neatly styled. His face was so chiseled, so sculpted, like he was some god, and his supernatural power was his good looks. His smell was intoxicating. He screamed wealth.

Focus, Julia.

“Hi,” I managed to say, my gaze locking onto his. Why was my heart beating so fast, like a young teenager in love?

“Can I sit?” he asked. “I’ve been unable to take my eyes off you. Can you tell me your name?”

“Julia,” I said immediately, like I was under compulsion. I swallowed hard.

“I’m Michael,” he said. “You’re beautiful, Julia,” he added, and I watched the movement of his full, pink lips. He’d probably be a good kisser, I thought.

No, Julia! You shouldn’t let yourself think that.

But wasn’t that the whole point of coming out tonight?

Right now, I was only going to think about myself. And the dangerously attractive young man in front of me was the only thing on my mind.

“Thank you. You’re quite dapper yourself.”

“What’s a gorgeous woman like you doing drinking alone at the club?”

I smiled. “I like to have fun by myself,” I lied. Truthfully, this was my first time out alone past midnight since I got married twenty years ago. Gilbert left me three years ago. So, my kids and work had been my only priorities.

“Damn, I find myself irresistibly drawn to you, like I’ve been spellbound. Do you believe in love at first sight?”

I chuckled. “You’ve got some lines.”

“I mean every word I just said,” he continued, his fierce gaze sending sparks into my heart.

“Don’t you feel the connection between us?” He cupped my chin.

“I do,” I confessed. “But I’m an older woman. You should be interested in girls your own age.”

“Nonsense! I want to get to know you… tell me something about you,” he insisted.

I panicked, unsure of what to say. Revealing that I was a thirty-eight-year-old woman abandoned by her husband, with two kids in college, didn’t seem appealing. I didn’t want to risk losing him, even though we had just met. What could I possibly say?

“If I told you, what’s the fun in that?” I replied, giving him a seductive glance.

“Oh… I see, mysterious Julia. I love it.” I felt his eyes drop to my lips before meeting my gaze again. The pull between us was intense. His lips pressed against mine, kissing me over and over.

“God, I want you,” he murmured as he pulled away.

“Then take me,” I said, noticing the shock on his face. I was surprised by my own boldness too.

I didn’t know why I said that. Was the compulsion so strong again?

I couldn’t help it; I wanted him desperately. Or maybe, I just wanted an escape from my life.

His lips curved into a smile. “Come with me.”

He took my hand and led me out of the club. I followed him like a bee to a honeycomb.

He flashed a key card and opened a room. He captured my lips again with a demanding hunger. My arms wrapped around his neck as he pulled the zipper of my silver dress down. As it fell to the ground, I felt his appreciative gaze sweep over my body.

He lifted me and gently placed me on the bed. I helped him unbutton his ruby violet shirt, my fingers tracing his hard abs. He was too perfect. I could spend all night just touching him, and I still wouldn’t want to stop. His sexiness gave me so much satisfaction. I wanted him, even though a part of me felt like I was betraying Gilbert. How could something wrong feel so right? He smiled, disarmingly attractive, and nothing else mattered anymore.

I removed his belt as his trousers slid down, revealing his ash-colored Calvin Klein underwear.

“Are you sure?” he asked, his breath warm against my face.

“Yes!” I replied eagerly. I had never been unfaithful in my marriage, and I had married Gilbert a virgin. Yet, here I was with this gorgeous stranger, and I wasn’t willing to stop now.

His lips met mine again, then trailed down to my chest. My breathing became ragged as he kissed his way over my body. I felt the heat of his mouth, leaving a burning sensation all over me. I arched against him, not wanting him to stop. In that moment, I felt like I was his—and his alone. I felt like I would die if he stopped. His hands moved and my underwear was off.

My heart skipped a beat.

This was really happening.

He noticed my nervousness. His lips captured mine, and he suckled on them until my body eased up.

His tongue tickled my ear. “After I make love to you tonight, Julia, you’ll never be able to forget me,” he whispered as a predatory smile stretched across his lips.

I watched him take off the last layer of clothing he had on, separating him from me.

My eyes widened. His length was huge. His body created space for itself, parting my legs. Then I felt him drive into me, over and over again. I moaned loudly until he collapsed beside me. Our breathing was heavy as we turned toward each other. He had surpassed my wildest imagination. And I hoped I had reached his.

“Julia, you were amazing!”

I could feel my heart leaping inside me. He liked it. “I’ve never had sex that good. Thank you.” Crap! I shouldn’t have said that.

Julia, stop being so forward. That’s not you.

Then again, was any of this me?

This wild version of me wasn’t one I recognized.

He moved closer, placing my head on his chest, and soon we drifted to sleep.

Luckily, I woke up just after 5 a.m. He was sound asleep, looking perfect and handsome. I quietly put on my dress, grabbed my purse, and left, casting one final glance at him.

I had the night of my life.

But, why did I feel like I’d just cheated on my husband when Gilbert was the one who abandoned me for another woman? A question I dreaded filled my thoughts. What’s going to happen now? I had no idea what was waiting for me once I left.

Julia“Oh my God! Dad!” Justin barreled into the living room, breathless with shock and excitement.“My son.” Gilbert grinned warmly. His eyes lit up like he was genuinely happy. If I didn’t know him better, I might’ve believed he missed Justin. “I missed you, son.”He pulled Justin into a hug. Justin held him tight, his head resting against Gilbert’s chest. I looked away.“Dad, when did you get back?” Justin looked at his father like he was seeing something he thought he’d lost.Jealousy bloomed low in my gut, unwelcome. A thought I didn’t want to think. Maybe my kids loved their father more than they loved me.“Last night,” Gilbert answered as he glanced my way. “And I wish your mother was as welcoming as you both.”Justin’s head whipped between us. “What do you mean?” “She made me sleep on the hard couch,” Gilbert shook his head, a sad smile tugging at his lips. “She’s mad at me. And I don’t blame her. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have stayed too long away from home.”He was pretend

JuliaI shut the door on impulse, clutching my chest, shocked to my bones. I heard a metallic sound in my ears, even though I knew it was silent. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. The doorbell rang again. I opened it—and it was really him.Gilbert.He still had that wide smile on his face.“Quit the games, honey. I’m back.”What? The audacity of him.He pushed me aside with one hand and walked in, looking around like he owned the place. And yes, maybe it was his house once. But he lost that right the moment he tried to gamble it away—and hit me for trying to stop him. If I had let him, he wouldn’t even have a home to come back to.“Justin and Olivia, where are they? Where are my kids?” he asked, like he still had control over us.I swallowed hard. “They should be upstairs. In bed,” I said, folding my arms.“What are you doing here, Gilbert?”He looked back at me. “What kind of stupid question is that, Julia? This is my home.”He chuckled like he was joking—but I caught the meanness in h

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 63: THE UNEXPECTED HAPPENED

JuliaI ignored his calls all day yesterday. And again this morning. Each time his name lit up my phone, I pressed the side button and silenced it. I couldn’t stand to hear his voice. Not after seeing him with her. She had her arms wrapped around him—so cozy, like he was her boyfriend. She looked perfect beside him. And I hated how much it hurt. I hated that I cared. But God, I did. Another call came through. This time, my office line.I sighed and picked up. “Hello?”There was silence. And then… “Julia,” his deep voice called my name. And I froze. My heart stuttered, my fingers suddenly became weak.“Can we talk?” he added, his voice making me tremble. I almost caved and said yes. I slammed the phone down. I can’t. Not now. Not when I still felt this angry and betrayed.Minutes later, Lydia walked in with a file. “New client,” she dropped it on my table. “The CEO asked me to give this to you. The client…She’s expecting you this evening. Everything you need is in the folder.”I opene

MichaelThe cameras kept flashing as I stood in front of the press, answering their endless questions. My eyes scanned the crowd—and then I saw her. Julia. She walked toward me, looking nervous. She showed up. Just like she’d promised, she stood a little behind me, off to the side. I let out a half-smile and turned my attention back to the journalists.“Mr. King,” one of them called out, “who is this woman to you?”I froze, just for a second. Julia tensed beside me, her eyes wide with panic.A part of me wanted to say it—that she was my woman, that we were together, that I trusted her more than anyone. But this wasn’t the time. This press conference wasn’t about us. It was about King Global—about leadership, legacy, and control. The board was watching. Investors were watching. I couldn’t risk it—not now. I spotted Langley. His expression told me he wasn’t happy Julia was standing beside me. And just like that—I had my opportunity.“Langley,” I said, turning to him, “could you join us

MichaelI finally pulled back. Her face was flushed, her skin damp with sweat. Her eyes were half-closed. She looked ruined—messy and still so beautiful.I kissed my way back up her body, stopping at her full breasts. They rose beneath me. I took one in my mouth and suckled, hearing her gasp. Her hands were on my back again. I moved to the other breast, my tongue teasing her nipple. I moaned against her as she whimpered. I could feel her heart pounding through her skin.“Michael, make love to me… please,” she whispered, dazed.I pulled off my shorts and pushed her legs open, locking my eyes with hers. Her hands fixed on my waist, her thighs wrapped around me again as I entered her.“Yes,” she moaned, a loud sound tearing from her throat. Her hands flew to my back, grabbing, clawing. My hands gripped her hips as I moved inside her. She felt so good—there was nothing sweeter than her. MichaelI returned home. It was past 11 p.m., and I was anxious to see Julia. I wasn’t sure if she’d stayed… or if she’d left.I stepped out of the backseat, restless. I hastened my footsteps, impatient, as I walked straight into the house.“Good night, Adam,” I muttered to my driver as he set the shopping bags down in the living room. It was quiet.I walked into the second living room—the same place we’d been before I left. The lights were off. My chest sank. She left.I switched on the light. And there she was. Her slender frame peacefully sleeping on the sofa. Her arms were tucked under her body, knees pulled close to her chest to make herself comfortable.A smile broke across my face. She stayed.I walked over, bent down, and picked her up. She didn’t wake up—only sighed a little in her sleep, her head falling lightly against my chest.I took her upstairs and laid her on my bed, her head sinking into the pillow.
