Julia

I walked into the Excel VIP Club in a provocative silver short dress with a matching purse, ready to let my imagination run wild. I didn’t know how far I was willing to go, but I was ready to try.

I found a spot, sipped my glass of sparkling whiskey, and then my gaze fell upon the most breathtaking man I had ever seen. I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t. He looked young, but something dark in his eyes suggested he wasn’t as young as he appeared. He smiled at me, and I suddenly found the strength to look away.

Wait! He’s getting up and approaching my direction. Is he coming for me? I wondered.

“Hello,” he said, plastering a smile on his face.

Lord! He was drop-dead gorgeous. His dark eyes pierced into mine, sending a sweet tingling all over my body. I tried to smile back, but his intense gaze held me captive, like he was drawing me in. His thick brows framed his eyes perfectly. Was there anything imperfect about him? His high cheekbones were attractively defined complementing his strong jawline. His black hair was neatly styled. His face was so chiseled, so sculpted, like he was some god, and his supernatural power was his good looks. His smell was intoxicating. He screamed wealth.

Focus, Julia.

“Hi,” I managed to say, my gaze locking onto his. Why was my heart beating so fast, like a young teenager in love?

“Can I sit?” he asked. “I’ve been unable to take my eyes off you. Can you tell me your name?”

“Julia,” I said immediately, like I was under compulsion. I swallowed hard.

“I’m Michael,” he said. “You’re beautiful, Julia,” he added, and I watched the movement of his full, pink lips. He’d probably be a good kisser, I thought.

No, Julia! You shouldn’t let yourself think that.

But wasn’t that the whole point of coming out tonight?

Right now, I was only going to think about myself. And the dangerously attractive young man in front of me was the only thing on my mind.

“Thank you. You’re quite dapper yourself.”

“What’s a gorgeous woman like you doing drinking alone at the club?”

I smiled. “I like to have fun by myself,” I lied. Truthfully, this was my first time out alone past midnight since I got married twenty years ago. Gilbert left me three years ago. So, my kids and work had been my only priorities.

“Damn, I find myself irresistibly drawn to you, like I’ve been spellbound. Do you believe in love at first sight?”

I chuckled. “You’ve got some lines.”

“I mean every word I just said,” he continued, his fierce gaze sending sparks into my heart.

“Don’t you feel the connection between us?” He cupped my chin.

“I do,” I confessed. “But I’m an older woman. You should be interested in girls your own age.”

“Nonsense! I want to get to know you… tell me something about you,” he insisted.

I panicked, unsure of what to say. Revealing that I was a thirty-eight-year-old woman abandoned by her husband, with two kids in college, didn’t seem appealing. I didn’t want to risk losing him, even though we had just met. What could I possibly say?

“If I told you, what’s the fun in that?” I replied, giving him a seductive glance.

“Oh… I see, mysterious Julia. I love it.” I felt his eyes drop to my lips before meeting my gaze again. The pull between us was intense. His lips pressed against mine, kissing me over and over.

“God, I want you,” he murmured as he pulled away.

“Then take me,” I said, noticing the shock on his face. I was surprised by my own boldness too.

I didn’t know why I said that. Was the compulsion so strong again?

I couldn’t help it; I wanted him desperately. Or maybe, I just wanted an escape from my life.

His lips curved into a smile. “Come with me.”

He took my hand and led me out of the club. I followed him like a bee to a honeycomb.

He flashed a key card and opened a room. He captured my lips again with a demanding hunger. My arms wrapped around his neck as he pulled the zipper of my silver dress down. As it fell to the ground, I felt his appreciative gaze sweep over my body.

He lifted me and gently placed me on the bed. I helped him unbutton his ruby violet shirt, my fingers tracing his hard abs. He was too perfect. I could spend all night just touching him, and I still wouldn’t want to stop. His sexiness gave me so much satisfaction. I wanted him, even though a part of me felt like I was betraying Gilbert. How could something wrong feel so right? He smiled, disarmingly attractive, and nothing else mattered anymore.

I removed his belt as his trousers slid down, revealing his ash-colored Calvin Klein underwear.

“Are you sure?” he asked, his breath warm against my face.

“Yes!” I replied eagerly. I had never been unfaithful in my marriage, and I had married Gilbert a virgin. Yet, here I was with this gorgeous stranger, and I wasn’t willing to stop now.

His lips met mine again, then trailed down to my chest. My breathing became ragged as he kissed his way over my body. I felt the heat of his mouth, leaving a burning sensation all over me. I arched against him, not wanting him to stop. In that moment, I felt like I was his—and his alone. I felt like I would die if he stopped. His hands moved and my underwear was off.

My heart skipped a beat.

This was really happening.

He noticed my nervousness. His lips captured mine, and he suckled on them until my body eased up.

His tongue tickled my ear. “After I make love to you tonight, Julia, you’ll never be able to forget me,” he whispered as a predatory smile stretched across his lips.

I watched him take off the last layer of clothing he had on, separating him from me.

My eyes widened. His length was huge. His body created space for itself, parting my legs. Then I felt him drive into me, over and over again. I moaned loudly until he collapsed beside me. Our breathing was heavy as we turned toward each other. He had surpassed my wildest imagination. And I hoped I had reached his.

“Julia, you were amazing!”

I could feel my heart leaping inside me. He liked it. “I’ve never had sex that good. Thank you.” Crap! I shouldn’t have said that.

Julia, stop being so forward. That’s not you.

Then again, was any of this me?

This wild version of me wasn’t one I recognized.

He moved closer, placing my head on his chest, and soon we drifted to sleep.

Luckily, I woke up just after 5 a.m. He was sound asleep, looking perfect and handsome. I quietly put on my dress, grabbed my purse, and left, casting one final glance at him.

I had the night of my life.

But, why did I feel like I’d just cheated on my husband when Gilbert was the one who abandoned me for another woman? A question I dreaded filled my thoughts. What’s going to happen now? I had no idea what was waiting for me once I left.

JuliaMichael’s worried face relaxed. “Is that what this is about?”“Don’t pretend with me, please. I know who you are, Michael, and I’m going to make it easy for you. Get out.” I pointed to the door.“No!”“We had sex, and you’ve had your fun, so you can just leave. You can stay as long as you want for Justin’s sake, but I won’t let you bring any more women into my house.”“For the love of God—” he gripped me and his mouth crashed onto mine, kissing me.I gave in, kissing him back as his thumb and index finger held my jaw, my hands moving up to his chest as he deepened the kiss, taking my mouth like it belonged to him.Julia, stop being the fool.I pushed him away. “Why did you kiss me?”“I wanted you to stop talking and hear me out.” “We’re a couple now, Julia. There’s clearly a misunderstanding, but this isn’t how we settle it.”Couple? But Justin and Olivia said he doesn’t commit to any woman. He sat down on the bed.“Now, come here,” he commanded, his arms open.I hesitated, but

Julia I had just had the best dream of my life. My eyes slowly opened. And then it hit me.It wasn’t a dream—it was real.I turned to my side, but there was no Michael. I sat up, my eyes scanning the room—from the messed-up sheets from our night of passion to the quiet, empty space around me. He wasn’t there. My hands searched for where I had tossed my phone, and I found it. It was almost 7 a.m.I gasped.Breakfast would be served soon, and I suddenly realized I was still in Michael’s room. I needed to leave before someone walked in.I found my clothes where they had been tossed last night and quickly put them back on. Now I just had to escape back to my own room without being spotted.I opened the door slightly and poked my head out first, scanning the hallway. It was empty and quiet. That was a good sign. This was my chance.I opened the door a little wider and squeezed myself out, shutting it as quietly as I could behind me. Then I started to tiptoe—slowly—doing my walk of shame i

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 21: THE MAIN COURSE: TOUCHING JULIA

Michael“My first time was with my husband, Gilbert, when I was seventeen. Back then, it was great.”“And later?”“Later, it became a routine.”She hesitated, not knowing how much to reveal to me. But I wanted to know everything. I had to understand why a woman as beautiful as Julia would feel so insecure.“He’d come back home and…” She nibbled on her fingers. He would fuck me while I lay on the bed like a log of wood. If I tried to touch him, he’d insult me and say the only thing he enjoyed was sticking his cock inside me.He’d say all I had was a beautiful face. That my body was dried up and there was nothing sexy about me. I satisfied him, and I was content just knowing that. He never missed a chance to remind me there was nothing exciting about my body. All he wanted was my…” She trailed off, like even the thought of it pained her.“I know I’m not hot like Jeanine,” she whispered, “but at least I’m enjoyable in bed. If you’d just skip this part and touch me like you did on our fir

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 20: STAY RIGHT HERE JULIA

MichaelI slid two fingers inside her, and she gasped in surprise. She felt warm and soft. I slowly moved them in, feeling the way she reacted to my touch. Her breath hitched, and I could feel her closing her eyes, giving herself over to the sweetness she felt. I enjoyed the sound of her low, throaty moan as I rubbed her clit. Her body trembled as she moved closer to the edge. I could feel the chemistry igniting between us. Her breath quickened in response, and I knew she was close—so close. I felt it in the way her body tightened, in the way her breaths came faster, lighter. But then, just as she was about to break, I pulled my hand away. Her eyes flew open in frustration. She hadn’t expected me to stop.I watched as her eyes searched mine, and I knew she was wondering why I had stopped.“No, don’t stop,” she whispered.I kissed her lips before getting up from the bed.She sat up, her beautiful face looking at me with frustration. “Is this your punishment?”“Yes, Julia.”“Okay, I won

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 19: I ACCEPT YOUR OFFER

MichaelWe were back home, celebrating Jeanine’s birthday over wine. Everyone was laughing at her jokes. She had single-handedly made the atmosphere light and fun; it was certainly her talent. But then Julia abruptly stood up. “Please excuse me,” she said, heading toward the stairs as the conversation continued.Justin began talking about his awful date—the one that had driven him to the club where we met Jeanine. I laughed along with everyone, but my eyes stayed locked on Julia. She paused at the stairs, her hand gripping the railing. She turned and caught my gaze, staring at me intensely, and mine lingered on hers, like she wanted to speak but she didn’t say anything. Then, she slowly climbed the stairs, still looking back at me until she disappeared from sight.Finally. I got it. That was an invitation. Julia wanted me to follow her.“It’s about to happen,” I whispered to Jeanine. “Keep the kids busy, would you?”“I’ll be back, guys. Don’t have all the fun without me,” I said, ri

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 18: GETTING MICHAEL BACK

Julia I regretted following them. How could he rub it in my face that he was with her now?I lay on the beach bed, pretending to enjoy the sunbathing, but I was more focused on eavesdropping on their conversation. Michael had made sure his bed was right beside mine—just to torture me. Was this his plan? To make me jealous? If it was, then he had succeeded.I wasn’t thinking straight. He hadn’t even looked at me once. He was completely focused on her, laughing and whispering the way lovers did, and I couldn’t help but feel like that should have been us. I didn’t even know why I had thought following them was a good idea in the first place. I wanted to monitor them. I figured if he saw me around, he wouldn’t go far with her. I thought having me nearby would distract him.But maybe I had thought too highly of myself. He liked me—not that he liked liked me. Otherwise, what was he doing with her? I hid behind my shades, but I couldn’t stop looking at them. They had just met 48 hours ago,

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 17: MAKING JULIA JEALOUS

I almost denied Jeanine—it wasn’t true, after all. But on second thought, this was exactly what I wanted. To make Julia madly jealous.“She’s your girlfriend?”“Will you let her stay, please?” I didn’t want to lie to Julia. Evading her question seemed like the best option.“You’re unbelievable, Michael King.” She shook her head. “How do you do it?”“Do what?”“Have the ability to move between women just like that. I thought you were different. But you’re just like every man out there. I hope that you have a great night, Mr. King.” She started to head upstairs, but then turned back. “You know what, I’m going to be honest. I hope that you have a horrible night. And you’re both broken up by morning.” She rushed upstairs, clearly jealous.“It’s already morning, Julia,” I called after her. Then I took Jeanine upstairs to my room.“You know, we can continue the party right here,” Jeanine said as she wrapped her hand around my neck, about to kiss me. But I turned my face away and pulled her

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 16: THE PLAN IS IN MOTION PART 2

Michael“Relax, Olivia. I know what I’m doing.” She relaxed a bit. “It’s not you that’s the problem. It’s her,” Olivia said with annoyance, like she was jealous. “I take it this is the girlfriend?” Jeanine concluded. “No. She’s not the one,” I whispered in her ear. “Just keep your mouth shut until I say otherwise.” She looked puzzled but knew she had to shut up if she wanted to get paid. “Jeanine is cool, Olivia. We’re going upstairs,” I said, passing Olivia as we climbed the stairs. “Since when have you ever brought any woman home?” Olivia followed me, refusing to let it go. Her nosiness was becoming annoying. I didn’t bring Jeanine over for one of Olivia’s dramas. “My mom would never let her stay. Tell her to leave right now.” She pointed to the door. “You’re acting like a jealous girlfriend, Liv, and it’s starting to piss me off.” “I don’t want her here, Michael.” She raised her voice. “What’s going on here?” Julia sped down the stairs. Finally. The woman I had been wai

  • FALLING FOR MY SON’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND   CHAPTER 15: THE PLAN IS IN MOTION PART 1

MichaelI was in the club with Justin, and all I could think about was Julia. I had to get my plan rolling.“Dude, check out that girl. Shit, she’s so hot,” Justin said. I was so disinterested in the girl he was eyeing. He had no idea where my mind was at. I was thinking about how to get his mother in my bed. He’d kill me if he ever found out. But good things didn’t come easy, did they?My eyes caught a girl winking at me. She looked attractive. She would do.I wrapped my hand, leaving only my index finger out, and moved it, beckoning her to come. She eagerly got up from her chair and walked toward me.“You’ve got eyes, Michael. I’m gonna leave you to handle that,” Justin said, giving me a pat on the shoulder before walking off to approach the girl who had caught his attention.“Hi, handsome,” she smiled at me.“Hello. What’s your name?”“It’s Jeanine,” she said excitedly, placing her hands on my body, trailing them down my chest. For God’s sake.I took her hands off politely.“I’m so
