CHAPTER NINE

LILY

My mother is furious as she shouts at the officer stationed at the desk immediately we walk in. The car ride here had not been a pleasant one at all. She had kept on screaming and cursing Nickolas for everything. I honestly want to believe he has nothing to do with all this but ever since he showed up things have gotten out of hand and it is not difficult to imagine that he might be behind it seeing as he is not exactly a fan of my family.

First it is the two detectives this morning and some hours later police men had barged in, breaking down the door to whisk my father away. This time they had a warrant to back it up.
