The stranger

A branch snapped and I spun immediately.

A man stood maybe ten feet away, half-shadowed by the low boughs. Shorter than Asher but broad through the shoulders, dressed in dark tactical gear that looked too clean for these woods. Short-cropped silver-streaked hair. Pale eyes that caught what little light filtered through the canopy and threw it back like ice.

“Sorry for startling you.” He spoke first with his hands raised up in surrender. There was something about his voice that made my skin craw

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   Want her again

Asher’s footsteps faded down the hall, leaving only silence and the heavy scent of his dominance lingering in my room like smoke. I stood there shaking, fists still clenched so tight my nails bit into my palms. The words “slave like you” echoed in my skull, mixing with Carleigh’s cruel laughter and the shattering of glass from the dining hall.I couldn’t breathe. My parents’ graves. Tomorrow. I wasn’t going to see the graves again. All because I finally snapped. The walls felt like they were closing in. Asher’s house. Asher’s rules. Asher’s perfect new Luna waiting to take my place. I was suffocating.Rhea. Her name rose unbidden, sharp and desperate. The only person who had looked at me like I mattered. The only one who had touched me like I was wanted, not owned. Even after everything I’d said to her this morning… I needed her. I hated myself for it, but I needed her.I wiped my face roughly and slipped out of my room before I could think better of it. The hallway was dim and quie

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   Tired of everything

The dinner began in the next minutes.Omegas filed in from a door near the kitchen, each carrying silver trays full with food. They moved silently, carefully, placing plates before the elders first, the high table then me last. A young omega with trembling hands set a plate before me, roasted meat, steamed vegetables and a small bowl of dark sauce. My stomach churned at the sight of it but I didn't touch my fork.Across the table, Asher cut into his meat with practiced ease completely ignoring the fact that I was around. The she-wolf leaned into him, her shoulder brushing his as she reached for her wine glass. She laughed at something an elder called out from further down the table, a bright, tinkling sound that drew eyes.I didn't intervene in the conversation as the elders talked because no one talked about me or looked at me.Which I completely noted and ignored. The omegas came and went, refilling glasses, clearing empty plates, their eyes downcast. The elders ate and drank and ta

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   Provoking him

I leaned against the closed door, my back pressed to the wood, and let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding. The silence of the room wrapped around me like a blanket, heavy and suffocating all at once.Rhea hadn't followed me. I didn't know if that was a relief or not.The shower was the only place I could go where no one would follow. Where I could let the water drown out the noise in my head. I turned the handle as hot as I could stand it and stepped under the spray, hissing as the heat hit my skin.I scrubbed. Hard. My arms, my legs, my chest, places Nigel had touched, places Rhea had touched, places I didn't want to think about anymore. The soap stung my eyes, and I welcomed it. At least that pain made sense. The bathroom filled with steam, and I stood there until my fingers pruned and the water started to run cold. I wanted to stay longer. I wanted to disappear down the drain and reform somewhere far away from here. But I couldn't.I stepped out and wrapped a towel around

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   No longer care

Before I could talk myself out of it, I was moving. My feet carried me out of the room, down the hallway, past the kitchen where I didn't look to see if Rhea was still there then followed the way that led to Asher's office.Asher was halfway down the stairs when I caught up to him."Asher, wait."He stopped but didn't turn around. His hand rested on the wooden banister, knuckles white. The bond flared the second I got close, that same unwanted pull that always sat between us, heavy and insistent."I want to visit my parents' graves," I said, the words tumbling out before I lost my nerve. Now he turned. His gold eyes narrowed, studying my face like he was trying to decide if I was serious."What did you say?", He asked."I want to visit my parents' graves again." My voice shook, but I forced myself to hold his gaze. "I haven't been there since you took me the last time. I don't know if the markers are still standing. I just want to see them again."Asher was silent for a long moment. T

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   Being disrespected

I don't know how long I stayed curled into a tight ball on the floor maybe minutes, maybe an hour but eventually I heard the footsteps and that made me startle. My heart seized as I scrambled to my feet, wiping frantically at my wet cheeks, trying to make myself presentable, trying to erase any evidence that I had been crying. But there was no time. The footsteps stopped outside my door then suddenly the door was opened. And there he stood. His white shirt was rumpled, his jaw shadowed with stubble, his gold eyes bloodshot and hard. He looked like hell. And he was staring at me like I was the reason."We need to talk," he said roughly. It wasn't a suggestion. Before I could reply, he pushed past me into the room without waiting for an invitation, and my panic spiked so violently I thought I might vomit. He knew. Oh god, he knew. Rhea had told him, or he'd walked past my room last night and heard us, or..."Close the door," he ordered. My hands shook as I obeyed. The click of the latch

  • FATED TO MY ENEMY, BOUND BY SIN   Regret the moment

I woke with a violent start, heart hammering against my ribs. The bed was empty. My hand shot out across the sheets, finding only cool fabric where Rhea's warm body had been. Panic crashed over me instantly. The room was still dim, early morning light barely filtering through the curtains. I sat up quickly, clutching the blanket to my bare chest.Oh god. What did we do?Memories flooded back, her mouth on me, her hand working my cock, the way I'd groaned her name like I was starving for her. Asher's sister. The bond with him already sat like a constant, unwanted weight. And now this. I wasn't supposed to want any of this… and now she was gone. What if Asher had come back during the night? What if he'd walked in and seen us? The thought made bile rise in my throat. My wolf whined anxiously inside me, pacing with unease.I scrambled out of bed, legs still shaky from last night. I threw on the first clothes I could find, my sleep shirt and a pair of shorts and crept toward the door, puls
