CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

-TITANIA-

Devoid of emotion, I heaved a deep breath and stared blankly at the thick crimson-colored fabric in front of me.

'So this is how it felt to be living dead, huh? I was breathing but not inside, not alive.' With a little sneer on my lips, I rapidly shoved the curtain that concealed me from the audience's gaze. I sauntered out and jogged straight to the combat ring as soon as the light was replaced by a strong spotlight.

In an instant, hollers, curses, and shouts filled the entire hall. The crowd began yelling my name, denouncing it, and praising it, prompting me to take another big breath. I grew more involved in underground combat after returning to Harrington. Every freaking night, I smashed faces and kicked asses intending to cure myself, but it didn't work.
