~~Elena~~

She stood a few feet away, dressed in a purple two-piece outfit. Her hair was tied back, but even from here, I could see how tired she looked, her eyes sunken, shoulders slumped. She’d probably just come out of the surgery unit.

She walked closer, voice low and strained. “I need to talk to you, Elena.”

“We’re busy,” Mariana snapped, tightening her grip on my arm.

I chuckled softly and tapped her hand. “Calm down.”

“Alright then,” I told Lilly.

I followed her into an office. She sat first, gesturing for me to sit too. I exhaled slowly and lowered myself into the chair.

“Elena,” she began, voice trembling slightly , “you refuse to listen to me. I warned you to stay away from Alejandro. He isn’t a good person.”

I stared at her, disbelief curling inside me. Is this lady normal? One moment she wants him. Next, she’s acting like his personal warning label. She needed her brain checked.

A bitter laugh escaped me as I met her eyes. “If I want to find out who Alejandr

~~Elena~~The sudden ring of my phone woke me. I slowly opened my eyes and searched for it, then picked it up.“Elena, Alejandro knows you’re in Madrid,” Mariana’s voice said.I opened my eyes fully and sat upright. Sophy shifted beside me on the bed. I gently petted her back until she fell asleep again, then walked out to the balcony.“What did you just say?” I asked.“He asked if you and I were having some misunderstanding,” she replied.“Okay?” I urged.“And he asked if I knew anyone like Sophy,” she added, hesitating. My heart dropped. I nearly lost my balance.“Mariana, what did you say?” I asked anxiously, my voice trembling.“I told him I haven’t spoken to you, that you made me angry, and that I don’t want to talk to you. I don't care about new people in your life,” she said.“That’s good. But how on earth does he know about Sophy?” I asked.Silence.“Can you ask Sophy if she told anyone anything about you? Or herself?” she asked.“Sophy is barely five. What could she possibly

~~Alejandro~~He took a sip and shut his eyes.“I reacted like that because I never believed she could actually end up sleeping with you—after sleeping with my three friends at once. She had no idea I already knew about her lifestyle—about my friends, about Denis. Then she asked me about my friends. I told her I had cut them off and made a new friend. I was proud of your attitude and boasted about it. She said you could be tamed. I argued with her. I defended you.“Months later, while preparing for your eighteenth birthday, she begged to be taken along. I agreed. I never knew she already had a plan.”He paused and looked at me.“You knew she was my sister. Why did you give her a chance?”I scoffed, irritation flashing through me.“The girls you’ve dated—aren’t they someone else’s sisters?” I asked coldly.“I never forced your sister, Nick,” I continued. “She made herself available. And we were both adults.”He nodded slowly. “Fair.”Silence stretched between us.He inhaled deeply and

~~Elena~~ I finished my registration early—it was easy and fast since I arrived before the others. I still had thirty minutes to spare before Sophy’s closing time, so instead of going home, I took a cab to her school. I arrived just as the closing bell rang, right on time. I stood there, watching the kindergarten children step out of the building. My eyes scanned the crowd, searching for Sophy. Suddenly, she appeared and ran toward the classroom next to theirs—the one for Grade 1 pupils. Why is she going there? I walked closer just in time to see her grab a little boy by the hand and walk toward me. He looked familiar. He was the boy we had seen at the airport terminal the other day. “Mummy, this is Richard. He also schools here,” she said happily. I smiled. “How are your parents, Richard?” “I only have a dad. I don’t know my mum,” he replied quietly. I smiled gently. “So your dad is coming to pick you up, right?” He nodded. “Then we’ll be on our way,” I said, holding Sophy

  • FORBIDDEN AFFAIRS WITH MY FIANCÉ'S BILLIONAIRE UNCLE    Two Sides Of The Fall

~~Alejandro~~Her eyes widened in surprise, her breath turning uneven.“Are you serious?” she asked. “You’re really going to return the favour?”“Sure,” I said flatly.I stood up, and her gaze followed me, anticipation flickering in her eyes. I pulled out my phone and clicked on the video Denis had sent me the other day, then turned the screen toward her.“An eye for an eye, Lily,” I said calmly. “I always return favours.”She jumped up, reaching for the phone, but I lifted it out of her reach.“Not so fast,” I said, shaking my head.Fear flooded her eyes.“What gave you the audacity to threaten me Lily?” I asked coldly.“Alejandro… where—how did you get that?” she whispered, her voice trembling.I chuckled. “Does it even matter? Or do you really think you’re worth me returning such a favour?”“Why… of course I’m worthy,” she said slowly.I scoffed. “You think you’re good enough?”Silence fell.Suddenly, she grabbed the glass jug on the table and smashed it onto the floor.“Why am I n

~~Alejandro~~The boy stood in front of me, small and still, his dark eyes locked onto mine. He didn’t blink. Not once. For a moment, neither of us spoke.“What’s your name?” I finally asked.Instead of answering, his lips trembled slightly. “Where is my father?”Mateo took a step forward, but I lifted my hand, stopping him without looking back.“Your father is dead,” I said flatly. “He’s not coming back—just like your mother.”The words hit him harder. His lashes fluttered rapidly as he struggled to hold himself together. He sniffed once, twice, and then he broke into tears. His small body shook as sobs tore out of him.I watched him calmly.“Before you drown yourself in tears,” I said, my voice steady, “you need to choose. You can come home with me and cry all you want, or you can leave with your nanny.”His crying slowed. He wiped his face with the back of his hand and looked at his nanny. She gave him an encouraging nod, her eyes filled with pity. Then he looked back at me.Withou

  • FORBIDDEN AFFAIRS WITH MY FIANCÉ'S BILLIONAIRE UNCLE    A Home Half-Built

~~Elena~~“Are you hungry?” Mariana asked, and Sophy nodded quickly.Mariana walked to the table, unpacked the bag, dished the food, and handed it to Sophy. I watched her eat, a smile tugging at my lips. Mariana slowly adjusted the next pack—a clear sign it was meant for me—but her eyes remained fixed on Sophy.I chuckled and stepped closer, opening the flask.“Is this for me?” I asked.“No. I brought everything for Sophy,” she replied.“But Mummy is also hungry, Auntie Mariana,” Sophy said immediately.Mariana said nothing.“I’ll just take it,” I said. She didn’t even spare me a glance. I ate in silence, and within a few minutes, I was done.I watched as Mariana laid Sophy on the bed. She had fallen asleep after eating her dinner.Mariana returned to clean the mess Sophy had made. I rushed toward her.“I’ll handle it,” I said, taking the brush from her.“Are you indirectly telling me to focus on my family again?” she asked.I paused and looked up at her.“You’re pregnant, Mariana. Yo
