Chapter 47: Lillian
“Thank goodness!” I cry out when I see Jordan and Detective Matheson head back into the room. I had started to worry when they left, and the man started to stir. Sure enough, just as soon as I see Jordan’s eyes meet mine, the man wakes up and begins to rise.
Detective Matheson quickly forces him back to the floor while dropping on top of him. Then he produces his handcuffs and disables him before he can threaten anyone else. “Jordan, I thought for sure you would be taken away.” I say extremely concerned because I am both scared and confused about exactly what is going on.
“Jon, go in the other room with your mother. I have a hunch the detective here is going to want to ask him a few questions before they leave. I know I do now that he is no threat to us.” Jordan says in a matter-of-fact tone before returning his gaze to the men on the floor.

As I watch the screen of Jordan’s phone, I notice that the signal seems to be moving at quite a quick speed. “Turn here!” I cry out right before Jordan gets to the corner. Not knowing what to do next, we wait at home for the officer in charge to contact us. Rubbing my head, I open my eyes slowly. There is a sharp pain coming from the back of my scalp and I have no clue, why it hurts so much.
