Chapter 49: Lillian
“Jordan, did we get everything out of the car?” I yell to him in the next room when I notice a small bag is missing.
The bag with my undergarments in it of course. It was sitting by the side of the bed in the hotel this morning after I packed it. I could have sworn I looked everywhere and double checked everything. I didn’t see it sitting there where I put it before we went down to breakfast.
Hearing my phone ring, I take it out of my pocket, and it slips right out of my hand and onto the floor. The sound it makes, tells me one thing, the minute it hit the ground, I heard glass breaking and knew that the screen must be broken. Sure enough, I pick it up carefully and shards of glass fall to the floor.
“Watch out!” I tell Jon because he walks by me at that precise moment and is just about to step into the broken shards before I can get them cleaned up.

Not knowing what to do next, we wait at home for the officer in charge to contact us. Rubbing my head, I open my eyes slowly. There is a sharp pain coming from the back of my scalp and I have no clue, why it hurts so much. Lying in Jordan’s arms, I stare up at the ceiling unable to sleep. Even if I had just told half the cops that I am going to kill George, I don’t care anymore. I must do it, no matter what the consequences are.It’s 4 in the morning and all I can think about now is how I am going to stop this misery. The first thing I must do is contact a few people and find out who is the most reliable and can keep their mouth shut. The next thing I must worry about is the fact that my conscience will weigh heavily on me from here on out. If it was just a matter of getting rid of him it would be one thing, but how is what is troubling me.So, I devise a plan to hire a hit man and then have him either infiltrate the prison or arrange for someone already there to do it for him.
