At ten minutes to 3, I leave with Jon. The plan is to drop off Jon at the police station and make it look like no one is around. That way Jon is safely in the hands of the cops, while I hightail it back to be waiting just outside the vision of whoever wants to meet with Lillian. The best part is that the Detective is already there, just waiting for someone to show up.
After I drop off Jon, I rush back and then go to meet up with the Detective. However, the minute I return, I don’t see the Detective in his vehicle. A bad feeling firmly plants itself in the back of my mind and then when I keep searching for him into the bushes, I find him.
He is lying face down in the dirt and he isn’t breathing. Realizing that my feelings were warranted now, I scan the area and find his radio. I call in to the station as quietly as I can before I hear someone walking towards me.
Placing the radio on the groun
As I watch the screen of Jordan’s phone, I notice that the signal seems to be moving at quite a quick speed. “Turn here!” I cry out right before Jordan gets to the corner. Screeching the tires, he makes a hard left and then we see it. There is a moving truck in front of us and it looks familiar. Just like the one that was outside our house that day. Seeing it pick up speed, Jordan slams on the gas pedal and follows them. In hot pursuit, I watch as it turns around the next corner to the right, not even stopping at the stop sign. Too late do we see the speeding vehicle from our left, right before it slams into his side of the front end. “Shit!” He screams before slamming his fist into the steering wheel. Looking at the other car, and then glancing at the truck getting away, he turns the key to the car and says, “Please.” It makes various noises but refuses to start. Instead, it floods, an
Not knowing what to do next, we wait at home for the officer in charge to contact us. I watch Lillian pace around the living room before stating, “We have to do something.” Her eyes wild with worry and her lips still pouting. With her hands tightly wrapped around her waist, she stands there staring at me as if I can do anything about all of this. Can I? The police have my phone, so now it is just a big waiting game. That is unless the kidnappers call Lillian and demand a ransom or something. As I run my fingers through my knotted hair, I begin to wonder if we will ever see Jon again. When I glance over at Lillian, I see tears forming in her eyes and know that if I don’t comfort her now, she may never forgive me later. So, I stand up and walk over to where she is standing, before wrapping my arms around her and leaning down to kiss her warm lips softly. However, this doesn’t stop the tears from falling.&
Hearing a noise wake me in the middle of the night, I slowly open my eyes to see a man staring at me. I am so shocked, that I cry out and alert Jordan before the man even has time to stop me. Lying next to me, Jordan bolts up in bed and stares wildly around the room as he cries out, “What, what is going on?” However, when he sees the man standing next to the bed, he launches himself at him headfirst.I don’t know exactly what Jordan was thinking when he does it, but it results in them rolling all over the floor. As they wrestle, I hear a crash as the dark blue vase from the end table shatters on the wood floor. Shards fly everywhere and then I notice something else odd out of the corner of my eye.Another man is standing there in the shadows, watching, and waiting. While sitting there on the bed, I stare at him and notice that he is tall and lean but looks older than the first one. When he realizes that
Rubbing my head, I open my eyes slowly. There is a sharp pain coming from the back of my scalp and I have no clue, why it hurts so much. Did the man hit me with something and then I blacked out?Not having a clue what time it is, I scan the area to figure out if it is even daylight or dark out. As I force myself to stand, I feel dizzy and lightheaded, but still manage to stay on my feet as I walk over to the window. Now, I just wonder where the man went and where Lillian is.Did he take her with him? Or did she manage to run away before he could? Hopefully, she escaped and is just waiting for me somewhere in the house.Calling out to her, I hear nothing in response and that worries me. Especially when I finally make my way to the kitchen and see a few pieces of her clothes on the counter and evidence of a struggle throughout the house. What has happened?Still feeling the pain in the back of my head, I
Hearing Jordan’s voice on the phone made me smile, even if it was only for an instant. Too bad, I couldn’t speak to him because I would have told him to not bother wiring the money. From what I overheard of the two men talking, George wants the money so he can purchase a get out of jail card and then go after Jordan too.Neither one of these two gentlemen are even pretending that we are going to get out of this alive. Instead, the one who brought me in flat out stated to my face, “I am going to fuck you so hard till your eyes pop out and then feed you both to the pigs. But, before we do that, my brother here wants a turn with your sweet little son. See, he loves boys and their tight little holes.”The minute he said that I started to fight with everything I have. I kicked and bit until he smacked me so hard my blood flew clear across the room, and I am pretty sure I lost a few teeth in the process too. T
“Baby, I am so glad that we found you.” I grab ahold of her and hold her tight in my arms. Then I glance over at Jon and say, “Get over here. I need a hug from you too.” Whole heartedly, I wrap my arms around both before letting go a few minutes later.Afterwards, we all watch as the Detective walks up to us and then states, “We will need to see you all downtown for questioning. You can ride in the car with Jordan.” Then he promptly walks away before we glance at each other.“What was that about?” Lillian asks me before Jon gives me a funny look.“I hope they don’t think we had anything to do with this one too.” Jon states in a matter-of-fact tone, because we all know that the cops don’t know what is really going on.“No, actually this time they may believe us for once.” Lillian comments quietly, before we see the police officer open the car door for us t
Lying in Jordan’s arms, I stare up at the ceiling unable to sleep. Even if I had just told half the cops that I am going to kill George, I don’t care anymore. I must do it, no matter what the consequences are. It’s 4 in the morning and all I can think about now is how I am going to stop this misery. The first thing I must do is contact a few people and find out who is the most reliable and can keep their mouth shut. The next thing I must worry about is the fact that my conscience will weigh heavily on me from here on out. If it was just a matter of getting rid of him it would be one thing, but how is what is troubling me.So, I devise a plan to hire a hit man and then have him either infiltrate the prison or arrange for someone already there to do it for him. But either way, he can’t live. Knowing this, I climb out of bed exhausted and worried, but somewhat finally at peace with all of it.A
“Where did you go?” I ask curiously, because when I woke up, she was gone and all I found was a note. She looks guilty and that makes me wonder exactly what is going on. Hesitating, she finally states, “I found out something today that I have wondered my whole life. The sad part is that I will miss him even more now that I know.”Cocking my head, I hate to ask because she maybe talking about loving someone else. But I must know, so I ask anyway. “What are you referring to?”Staring at me, she opens her mouth at first but doesn’t say a word, then she closes her eyes when tears threaten to fall. I move to hold her and then ask again, “What are you talking about?”“I found that my real father is dying of cancer. I didn’t know for sure, but for years I suspected who he was. Because of little things my mother would say here and there, it led
