CHAPTER 6: I Dare You

After I went home to dress as Cassie and then left to Cole's house. I walked to him and took his history book from his hands. 

"Help me." He said and I rolled my eyes. 

"Explain how did the World War 2 happen?" I read the question and turned to Cole who is waiting for me to answer.

"What? Let's just copy it from the internet." He said and I sighed. I opened the history book and pointed at the World War 2 section. I showed it to him and gestured him to type it. 

"It has 200 numbers, I hate it." He whined.

"Do it." I looked straight into his eyes.

"Help me, you do 199 and I'll do 1." He said and I glared at him hard. He glared at me back and crossed his arms in front of his chest showing a biceps. 

"It's for your own good, Cole. Do it yourself." I said.

"I hate school."

"Who doesn't?" 

"You're a nerd so of course you like it." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"I hate it as much as you do but I want a good score. You should have that mind set too." I got up and sat on the edge of his bed. 

"I don't need this to run my company." 

"5 months left, Cole. Just bear with it and besides are you going to take over the company as soon as you graduate?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said as he looked at the laptop blankly.

"You hate the idea of it?" I asked carefully. 

"Honestly, I don't want to take over as soon as I graduate. I want to go to the university first and besides I'm too young to take the compny over." He sighed.  

"You should tell your parents then." 

"My dad wants to retire soon and he wants to hand it over to me as soon as possible." He said in a sad tone and I walked to him patting his shoulder.

"He trusts you so you have to go for it. I know you can do it." I said and he turned to me. I smiled and he looked at me with a poker face. 

"Back to work, I'll help you if you can't find anything." I said and grabbed my phone. After awhile, I felt his eyes on me. I turned to him and he was looking at me intensely.

"What?" I asked and he turned away.

"You look.. familiar." My whole body froze.

"Weird." He turned to his laptop again and I turned to check the time. It's 4.50 pm and checked if he's doing his homework or not. He's already did 30 questions and he kept yawning. 

"I'll go home now." I said and he turned to me.

"Now?" He checked the clock.

"Yes." I smiled and patted his shoulder. "You did a great job, keep it up. I'll help you if you need anything." I said and he nodded. I walked towards the door.

"Cassie." He called.

"Yeah?"

"Do you think I'll be a good CEO?" He asked it all of the sudden and I smiled.

"You will. You will be a good CEO. All you need is baby steps learning to be one and surely you will be one." I said and he nodded.

"Bye, Cole." I opened the door and he waved without looking at me. I walked out from his house and decided to buy him some drinks to cheer him up. After buying it, I gave it to his maid to give it to him. 

The next day, Cole is back being a jerk. He put a fake spider in my bag and I screamed my lungs out. He laughed so hard with his friends and I sighed. I grabbed the fake spider and threw it to the ground. 

I decided to ignore his instead yelling at him. 

"Nerd! Hey nerd!" He teased and can he just stop? Yesterday, he was a nice Cole but this evil Cole is back. 

"What do you want, Cole?" I walked to the cafeteria and he's still laughing. 

"One apple juice please." I ordered.

"Are you even human? You only eat liquid huh?" He asked.

"That's a stupid question." I hissed.

"I never see you eat, not even once." He said as he looked at the menu.

"Here you go." I thanked the lady and Cole stole it from me. I sighed and he felt bad so he returned it to me. I've been having trouble sleeping these days, maybe because of the stress. Not to mention that I don't have a good appetite. 

I fely dizzy this morning but I ignored it. I felt the world is spinning around and I walked out from the cafeteria a little tipsy. I leaned to the lockers for support and tried my best to walk towards my locker. Once I got to my locker, I grabbed a medicine and drank it.

I stood there for a moment before I dropped my body to the ground and darkness slowly hugged me. 

"Cassie.. Cassie.." I opened my eyes slowy and found my sister sitting next to me. 

"Where am I?" I asked.

"You're in the hospital." She said in a shaky voice.

"I fainted huh?" I asked and she nodded.

"Your sugar dropped and the doctor said you look like you don't get enough sleep." 

"Yes, I don't feel good these days." The door opened suddenly revealing my brothers panting. I sighed because I don't want them to be here. 

"Are you okay?" Vincent asked.

"Yes, I'm okay." 

"The doctor said that your blood sugar dropped." He asked.

"Yes, it's be-"

"Such a shame to have a brother who is a chef, yet can't help his little sister." Victor said and I turned to him disbelief.

"I'm fine."

"Bought your favorite mushroom soup." He said as he put a big bowl in front of me.

"Thanks, Rissa." 

"Don't tell mom and dad about this, I don't want to make them worry." I said and everyone nodded.

"As long as you promise to eat healthier and get a lot of rest." Dean said and I nodded.

"I promise." After 5 hours in the hospital, I can go home. We went home and I laid on my bed right away. I opened my phone and there's 20 messages from Cole. 

Are you okay?

What happened? 

I heard you fainted, are you okay?

Get well soon.

Hey Cassie, get well soon.

Are you still in the hospital? 

Are you home already?

Are you sure you're okay?

I already did 75 numbers, thought you should know.

Cassie..

The rest are pretty much the same and I chuckled before replying to him. 

Cassie: I'm okay, thanks. Keep going until 200 okay?

After that I decided to go to sleep.
