12. Guilt
"What is wrong Rekha? Why are you frightened?" Rai's mother asked glaring at Rekha.
"No mother." Rekha said snickering. She paused for a moment as her smile grew even bigger then she continued-
"I was just startled. I didn't noticed you were here."Rai's mother rolled her eyes and signaled Rekha to move away by waving her hand , so she could enter into the kitchen as Rekha was thwarting her way.
Rekha moved aside with her big brown eyes following Rai's mother as she walked into the kitchen. When she noticed Rai's mother had walked away, she quickly left the kitchen door and ran quietly-upstairs to Rai's room.
When she went in, she locked the door and exhaled profusely while standing against the door. She closed her eyes as her breathing gradually became stable.
"What are you doing here?" Said Rai in a low tone. His voice was trembling.
