Maxwell took a much needed two months leave from the university, his bullet wounds almost turned lethal because he ignored it for too long. But between making sure Breanna was okay and all the court shindig, he barely had any time for himself.

Breanna relatively stayed away from him, and he couldn't blame her. She didn't return his calls, and was never home or at work every time he went looking. Her friends also did a good job at hiding her.
