Sierra's POV

I held my paint brush lightly, staring at the clear sky. The snow had left just as quickly as it came. I moved my brush, smearing paint on the canvas paper.

I let my brush work, my mind half into what I was painting. This was the first time in years I was painting. I was surprised I still had it in me. Eve sat across from me, also painting.

I couldn't see what she was doing, and neither could she see mine. “Are you going to tell me what's going through your mind?” Eve finally spoke.

We've been here for over an hour. The sound of the leaves dancing on the trees and the cool air of the wind touching my skin was the right ambiance I needed right now. It was calm. Calmer than the chaos that seems to be happening in my life.

I hadn't said a word since we got here. I only told her I needed to paint, and she was excited. I didn't think she would spot my troubled mind so easily. “What if there is nothing going through my mind?” I da

Arthur's POVTheir disappointed faces quickly changed to that of annoyance as I led Sierra to a couch. No, I didn't help her to take a seat. I sat instead, then I guided her to take a sit on my laps.Sierra, quickly realizing what I was doing, tried to get up, but I held her waist, keeping her firm on my lap. Gently, I moved the strands of her hair away from her ears and leaned in.“Stay,” was my only word to her.She didn't relax, but she stopped struggling, and that was all I needed. “What is the meaning of this?” Dad asked, his tone filled with so much anger and resentment.“She came to visit me, and now she is seated. I think it's best she joins this conversation, don't you think?” I said, a sly smile on my face.“This is a family discussion, and she is not family,” Mum argued.“But she is the reason I've chosen to give up being Arthur, the biker. So maybe if you apologize, I might change my mind,” I said, and they q

  • Falling For The Biker    Chapter 100

Arthur's POV Two days and Sierra has avoided me. No explanation. Not a single word back. Going to her house also was futile, as she was either not at home or didn't want to see me.Jackson, being the ass he was, didn't want to speak to her on my behalf to get to know what I had done wrong. However, a part of me had a guess that it had to do with that stinking lawyer, Richard. It was all over him that he was a creep who liked Sierra. Either Sierra was avoiding addressing it or she knew and wanted it. Neither of them did I like, but I couldn't say much about it.The little I did, and I've been sidelined for days. I wasn't sure what to do, and I was growing frustrated by the minute. I sent her another text, hoping for a reply. An emoji.A letter.Anything but this silent treatment, but I got what I had expected back — silence.I stood at my window, racking my brain for the best cause of action. Maybe I could

Sierra's POV “Mum! Mum!” I called, barging into the house.Eve followed behind me as we looked around the dark living room. I flicked the lights on, but there was no one aside I and Eve. I gave her a look and rushed up the stairs.Mum sounded urgent on the phone. Could something have gone wrong? Down the hall, I looked around. The house was quiet. Unusually quiet.“Mum," I called out, with no response.“Elvis,” I called out again, and I heard light footsteps behind us.Spinning around, I found Elvis running over to me. I crouched down once he got to me, holding his face. “Where were you? Is everything okay? Where's grandma?” I said.“Grandma is over here. Come,” he said, taking my hand as he dragged me back the way I came. However, we didn't go down the stairs but the other way, down the hall. I glanced at Eve, who shrugged. She also had no idea what was happening.Elvis pushed the door of a room we ra

Sierra's POV I sat on my bed, staring at my blank phone screen. It's a new day, yet I couldn't take those words out of my head. Even though I had Richard send the recording, I didn't have the courage to listen to it again. No matter how much I wanted it to be false, but there was a small inclination in me that wanted me to see it as the truth. A soft knock came on the door. “Hey, Rea,” Jackson said behind the door.“You have a visitor,” he added.“I'll be down in a minute. Thanks,” I said and heard walk off.I wasn't particularly expecting anyone, but I had already told Jackson I didn't want to see Arthur, so he wouldn't have told me about the visitor if it were him.Once I got to the living room, I found Elvis and Mum knitting, with Dad chatting with Jackson. Then the visitor… Richard. He gave me a big smile as he wrapped his arms around me in a hug. With a small smile, I pulled away. “You didn't tell me you were comin

Sierra's POV “Wife?” I muttered, glancing at Arthur, who was red in anger.“See what I'm saying?” Arthur said, pointing at the door. “He is up to no good.”I turned to the door, wondering why Richard would do that. Yes, he had once confessed to me, but I had turned him down. It's been so long. Why then would he do something like that?“I'll handle the bill,” I said to the nurse, who smiled and walked off.“You're seriously going to let this slide? Why pay the bill anyway? Wasn't he the one who acted like an idiot?” Arthur said.“I hurt him. I need to pay,” I said and headed for the reception.Arthur would only keep getting angry if we continue talking about it. Once I was done paying up, I returned to the ward. The tension was high in the air.“Mommy,” Elvis ran to me, hugging my legs. “Do you want to get married to that man?” he pointed at Richard.I shook my head, crouching down. “You don't have to w
