Chapter 48- "I don't wanna see you again!"

Vera Anderson's POV

I arrived at META at 6:30 in the morning. I only had a little sleep but I still wanted to report to the office. Royce is not yet around and I think he would be late in coming here. I cleaned the tables and chairs with a feather duster. Then I turned on the aircon. Afterwards, I opened the PC on my desk and started checking Royce's appointments. He has a business transaction with the Manager of the Rising Talent Agency.

I looked at my watch and it's now seven. Royce is supposed to be here at this hour. I grabbed my phone and started dialing his number, but he was not picking up. I texted him, but he did not respond. I'm already worried about him, thinking that maybe he is not feeling well. But why did he not text me? I asked it mentally. I dialed his number again, hoping that he'll gonna answer this time until it turns to fifteen missed calls already. My heart beats fast because I feel like there's something wrong.
