Teasing Her

“You’re a prince?”, Chelsea asked even though she dreaded the answer

Aiden tried to explain, “Chelsea look, —”

“Just answer the question! ”, she was mad, for a reason she didn’t know.

“Why do you want to know?”, he was also beginning to get angry. Why couldn’t she calm down and stop acting irrational? Like, what was the big deal there? Why yelling like it was his fault?

She was totally different from all other women he knew!

“Are you seriously asking me that? Why I want to know? I said, just answer! Yes or No!”, she tried to lower her voice, to speak calmly but she couldn’t. Maybe it was because she hated being kept in the dark, or because she felt like a fool for being played about or..

“Fine, you want to know, then I’ll tell you, I am!” he confessed and her face paled.

She knew it was the truth. She expected it, but hearing him calmly admit it, was unacceptable.

“Why.. why didn’t you tell me?”

Aiden laughed and stared at her with an unbelievable look, “Why didn’t I tell you? Why… I mean, why would I? We were never close.”

“Really? We were never close? You know…”, she opened her mouth to give her speech, but decided against it the last moment. She wouldn’t want to look desperate in front of him.

“Forget it, just forget it, you know what? I was never here.”, she looked around for her phone and picked it, looked at her reflection to make sure she was okay and brushed last him to the open door down the stairs.

She was done there.

Aiden followed her, “And where do you think you are going?”

“To your arse.”, she cussed in anger looking back at him.

She could see the stunned look on his face. He never expected her to swear at him. She knew she was wrong, she shouldn’t have spoken to a crown Prince that way, but her anger had taken the better part of her. Still, why was she angry?

“Seriously Chelsea? We’re not done with this conversation and you’re walking out on me?! ”

She paused on her tracks and crossed her arms, “I’m sorry Prince, but this conversation, IS OVER!”

With that, she used the door, letting it close to a bang to emphasize her anger.

“Stupid!”

Aiden had no words to express how he felt that moment, the moment she walked out on him.

Anger?

Shock?

Regret?

He kept replaying what had happened in his head but still couldn’t understand.

“You’re a prince?”

“Just answer the question! ”

“Are you seriously asking me that? Why I want to know? I said, just answer! Yes or No!”

Where had he gone wrong?

Just where?

He shook his head. She was one hard nut to crack, but he, was going to crack it. He was. He grinned when he thought of what she was going to face at the gate. She’d come begging to him again. He was certain. If she thought she had escaped him, then she had better start rethinking again, because, he, was going, nowhere.

He calmly walked to the sofa and sat like a king, awaiting a slave.

Chelsea stomped her feet in anger and could kill anyone when she reached the gate and was stopped by the stone faced guards.

“I’m sorry miss, but you have to show us how you got in.”, was all they said since she was there.

She groaned. “Can this day get any better?! How many times shall I explain to you that I CAME WITH Aiden! How many times?! ”

“Do you have a pass card?”, one of them, who looked like the leader, asked instead, not minding her statement.

“Are you guys deaf or what?! I have no pass card! Nothing like that! I came with Aiden! ”, she was on her highest level of anger and could beat up any of those guys then, but when she evaluated them, she was sure she was going to be on the loosing end.

“Who’s Aiden?”, another one asked calmly.

What was driving her nuts was that she was the only one mad while they were calm, making her look like a mad person.

She clenched her fists tightly, reminding herself to control her anger if she didn’t want to end up with broken bones.

“Your... your.. your Prince! Don’t you know him?”

The leader resisted the urge to laugh, seeing how she looked that moment, mentally exhausted.

“Well, if you came with the Young Master, you are supposed to be given a pass before you leave.”, the guard answered.

Chelsea looked at them in disbelief.

Were they calling her a liar then? What would she say for them to believe her? She really needed to get out of that place!

But that wasn't caught her attention.

She was suppose to be given a pass? Before she left? Aiden didn't give her a thing! Nothing! So what were they talking about?!

“But… but, but he didn't give me anything?”

One of them snickered, “Well, then, maybe you should go back. It probably skipped his mind.”, he replied and Chelsea almost collapsed.

Go back? To his house? Alone? After she cussed at him?

Impossible!

She began to feel uneasy and her palms began to sweat. “Isn’t there anything you guys can do? I mean, I'm not lying! You could ask him!”

“Miss, we don’t mean you’re lying. But this is Imperial Villa and everything goes by arrangement. ”

Imperial Villa.

No wonder the tight security!

So her getting out wasn't guaranteed until she proved she got in legally? ‘What was she going to do! This place was really going to be the death of her!’

Think, think, think! Maxwell!

Her face lit up when she remembered who she had. Maxwell knew Aiden so he’d probably be allowed into the villa.

“Alright, I’ll just call my friend then. You guys would probably know him.”

With that, she unlocked her phone and prepared to call Max when her phone was snatched out of her hand in the blink of an eye, scaring her out of her wits.

“What the! Give me back my phone like that! Are you guys now resorting to stealing?!” she felt like hitting all of them that instant.

Were they crazy?! How could they take her phone?!

“We’re sorry Miss, but you’re not allowed to contact anyone outside the Villa.”, the leader said with a stone face.

Their boss had told them not to allow her exit the Villa, no matter what she said or did. They were just following orders.

Chelsea could hold it in no longer. She rushed forward at the leader and used her long finger nails to scratch his stony face without restraint. She was crazy that moment. Her level of patience had run out. She had evaluated that no amount of beating could reach him, so she decided to use another way; her long fingernails.

Her long nails scratched every where on his face they could lay on. His forehead, his closed eyes, his nose, everywhere, making him bleed and catching him off guard. He tried to remove her hand without using violence but it was impossible.

She was about to use her fists to hit him when the other guards, about three of them rushed forward and held her down.

She tried to let go all to no avail, kicking her legs in the air and striking her blows aimlessly. “Let me go! Let go of me! I'll report you all to your Young Master! Let me go!”

She believed in using peace, but when no one wanted peace, what was she trained for? Only then could she resort to using violence.

The leader fell to the ground, gasping for breath and holding his bleeding face when they took hold of her. She was crazy. The Young Master hadn’t informed them they were dealing with a psychopath. He wondered what had transpired between her and the Young Master to make him give an audacious request but he hoped never to cross paths with someone like her ever again. He stared at her as she was still kicking the air and shared a look with his colleagues to let her go.

They obliged.

“Fine! I'll go meet your ‘Young Master’! Happy now?!”, she said the ‘Young Master’ with disdain and looked at them as though they were idiots but they didn’t mind.

The psycho was going, never to return again. That was all that mattered.

“Hmph!”, she snorted and turned the opposite direction, to Imperial Villa No. 10, to the guards happiness.

“Geez! What a fellow! How did the Young Master even meet her?!”, one of them voiced out the whole group thought as they stared at her retreating figure.

The leader held a walkie talkie, “Boss, the job’s done. She’ll be there in two.”

Aiden calmly took a sip of his wine and anticipated the arrival of Chelsea according to Leonard’s report.

Did she think she could escape him?

She had to be a joker then!

He had not waited for up to two minutes when a drenched kitten walked in, completely sullen and dejected...

Chelsea was not stupid not to know that she was being played. Aiden was the one behind the scenes and this she knew. She realized that too late though. And now, common sense told her that if she wanted to leave the Villa, she had to mind her speech because not even violence could move him.

“Aiden,” she called lowly and looked at the floor, not being able to meet his gaze.

Aiden chuckled inwardly as he stared at her.

Where was the angry kitten who had barged out of the house minutes back?

Oh, it was replaced by the dejected kitten.

He wasn’t going to let her leave like that.

“Yes?”, he answered her.

“I…I… I need a pass.” she stammered.

“You need a what?”, Aiden feigned not hearing her.

“I need a pass”

Aiden: “…Ehh...A pass? What’s a pass?”, this was the part he was confused, truly confused.

No, really, what was a pass?

“The security guards said I wouldn’t be allowed to exit without a pass.” Chelsea didn’t read meaning into his statement. She just wanted to leave.

Pass?

Oh!

That would have been the excuse the guards brought up.

They sure were receiving a bonus for the month.

“You mean the ‘exit card’—”

“Whatever! I need a pass!”, she whined.

If she had known that was what she was going to face, she wouldn’t have agreed to go to that karaoke, not even take a sip of alcohol!

“Don’t you think that is not what you should be saying?”

What do you mean?!”, she was too drained mentally and emotionally to think of anything.

Aiden laughed. He wasn't started and she wanted to cry?

“You sure were taught the five magic words weren’t you?”

Chelsea face paled when she realized what he was asking her to do.

To say the word ‘please’?!

She couldn’t recall when last she told someone ‘please’ but here she was, forced by a man to say the word?!

A/N: ‘You weren't forced Chelsea, your exit lies in his hands. ’

“What have I done to you?! ”

Aiden teased, “I’m clearly sure I didn't hear any of the magic words in what you just said. Am I wrong?”

By then, Chelsea was already crying.

Pl… plea…se, I need a pass.”

“Did you say something?”, Aiden wanted her to say it out loud.

“Please! I need a pass!”, Chelsea could not be bothered with dignity again.

She was tired!

She wanted to leave! And never return!

“Really?”

Aiden was surprised. He didn't expect her to concede so soon. Still, he needed to tease her a little more.

“Yes! Please!”

“Uh… About that, my assistant is in control of the card, not me, so, what are we going to —”

He hadn’t finished when Chelsea let her tears fall freely, “I’m tired! Let me go! Let me go! I hate you!”

And for the first time, Valerian felt pity for her.

He didn’t know why, but he just wanted her around him and it felt so new to him but he couldn't control it.

“Fine.” he called Leo and told him to allow her and Chelsea scurried away without saying anything, like she’d been waiting for that moment her whole life.

Aiden’s lips twitched in disbelief.

Where was the kitten who looked sullen and wanted to use her tears to break down the Villa?

What he didn’t realize was that it was just an act.

Did he think he was the only one who could act?

He he, he had to have a rethink!

She was Chelsea, the crazypath!

“Hi, this is Max”

“Hi there Max, I really —”

“Sorry, leave a message.”, the programmed voice message said and Chelsea sighed.

Where was Max when she needed his help?

He was probably dozing his life away on his bed while she was there, suffering because of his friend. She would never forgive him!

“Max, please I really need your help, whenever you see this, do call me.”, she sent the voice message.

Flagging down a taxi, she gave the cab driver Maxwell’s address before she entered and they moved. She didn’t care negotiating the price, Maxwell was going to take care of it.

Chelsea stepped out of the taxi to Max’s porch and rang the doorbell twice. She hoped he was around. She had no money on her to pay the cab driver.

A sleepy Maxwell opened the door and Chelsea immediately pushed him aside and walked int his house.

“There’s a taxi driver outside waiting for his pay. Pay him up.”, she simply said.

Maxwell: "…" So, she just came to his house and asked him to pay her bills?

As expected of her!

After paying the taxi, Maxwell went into the house and saw Chelsea laying on a sofa. “What’s wrong? Val didn’t drop you?” he asked

Chelsea raised her brows at him, “Oh. So you knew I was alone in a guy’s house and you left me there!”, she emphasized on the ‘alone’

Maxwell laughed, “It’s Val, not any guy.”

Chelsea rolled her eyes and stood up to go to the kitchen, “Whatever. I need water, I’m thirsty.”

Maxwell followed her. “Check the fridge. So, why are you here in this pitiful state?”

She opened the fridge, “You wouldn’t believe what I found out! Aiden’s royalty!”

“What? You know?”, Maxwell was stunned but he had given himself out.

Chelsea stared at him in shock, “What? You knew?!

“So you knew all this while and you didn't tell me! For crying out loud Max, I thought you were different! ”

“Snap over it, Chel! Why would I bother to tell you? You just met yesterday! ”

That statement irked Chelsea, “Would everyone stop saying ’We just met!’ You know what, I'm tired, forget about it.” She took a bottle water, opened it and took a gulp before turning her attention to Maxwell who was doing nothing, just staring at her. “Where’s Blondie?”

“Who? Damon?”

“Whoever. That guy with the blond hair.”

Maxwell was about answering her when they heard his phone ping from the sitting room, a text message.

They shared a look and both went to the sitting room. Maxwell, to his phone and Chelsea, to a chair.

“Who’s that?”, Chelsea asked him.

“Who?”

“The message.”

Maxwell subconsciously his his phone. “Nobody”

Chelsea was suspicious of his behavior, “Are you sure? I know it’s Aiden”, she guessed.

Maxwell stared at her in disbelief, “How did you know?”

“What does it say?”, she ignored his question.

That was when Maxwell remembered the content of the message. He sighed.

“I’m sorry Chel’. But I've got to go. We have an emergency. ”

“An emergency? What emergency? Can I come?” she didn't even know when that escaped her lips. Somewhere she had desperately wanted to leave was what she was voluntarily offering to go? Really Chelly?

“Sorry, but only gents are allowed. Would you be fine?”, he asked, worried.

“Don’t worry about me. I won’t probably cry my self to sleep, would I?”, she had a teary look.

“On a second thought, how about I call Vina?”, Max suggested much to Chelsea’s horror

“That wh**re” Chelsea muttered under her breath.

Vina was for ‘Elvina’, Max’s girlfriend whom Chelsea hated.

Well, the feeling was mutual. Vina hated her too. Chelsea didn’t understand what Max saw in her but she didn’t want to break her friends happiness, so she decided to let them be.

“I’ll be fine. Trust me, don’t you trust me?”, she smiled sweetly that Maxwell couldn’t help but smile as well.

“Of course, I trust you. And I know you don’t want Vina around. There’s sauce in the fridge, you can heat it. Love you.”

“Like I’ll eat it. I'll make my own. Love you too. Now go change, you stink!” Chelsea ordered him.

“Aye, Aye Miss.”

Few minutes later, Maxwell came out of his room completely changed.

He wore a black jeans trouser with a white shirt and a face cap and his hair was neatly styled with a gel to the back.

“How do I look?”, he posed.

Chelsea looked up from the game she was playing on her phone, “Like a robber. Go! I need to use the house! ”

The way she ordered him to leave the house was as if she was the owner of the house and he, a live in friend. But Maxwell didn’t mind.

That was Chelsea; his one and only … friend.

Maxwell grinned as he walked to the door but stopped to stare at her, “Don’t do anything stupid in my house. OK? I want to meet it how I leave it? You get that?”

Chelsea sighed impatiently, “Gosh! Get out! You’re disturbing! ”

“Love you too bae!” he said and left, shutting the door behind him, leaving Chelsea engrossed with her video game.

Immediately Maxwell left, a loud noise of ‘GAME OVER!’ was heard. Chelsea dropped her phone on the sofa, smirked at no one in particular

“You think you can play me?”

“We’ll see about that.”

What's she up to?
