Jack

I heaved a deep sigh as I scanned the conference room for the umpteenth time. The whole place was smelling of coffee, and the tension was high. I’d been in a lot of rooms like this that’s filled with sharp suits, sharp tongues, and even sharper agendas but this one felt heavier. Probably because the client wasn’t just some mid-level account. It was the one every competitor had been chasing for months and now, they were seated right in front of us. The four top execs from VallisCorp, one of the biggest tech conglomerates on the continent.

Tony sat beside me, calm as ever. His dark eyes scanning the room with that quiet confidence he was born with. I, on the other hand, kept bouncing my leg under the table and he soon noticed.

“You good?” he murmured without looking at me, his voice low, almost lazy.

“Yeah,” I said, swallowing down the nerves. “Just want to make sure we land this.”

“We will,” he said simply, then leaned forward as the lead client, a tall, clean-cut man named Mr. Da

  • Falling for my Billionaire Crush   Who owns her heart?

TonyThe office was quiet for once, and that was rare these days. Ever since I got back, it’s been meeting after meeting, planning after pitch. I barely had time to breathe, let alone think until yesterday when we finally sealed the contract with the new clients. Sitting in the office now, my mind went straight to Daisy. It has been two days since I got back and I haven’t heard her voice since.I only sent a simple text the night I returned to tell her I was home and that I miss her so much. She must be mad at me already for not calling because she hasn’t replied yet. She much have thought I was abandoning her again but that isn’t true. I’m only being cautious because I know how risky it is to start calling too much. Her parents overheard or even suspect and that could cause everything to fall apart. And then, I haven’t been alone too. If I’m not at work busy with Jack or some other staff, then I’m home with Hope constantly being around everywhere in the house.Well, I got to the off

  • Falling for my Billionaire Crush   Move fast or lose her!

JackTony got back to the car and then slid into the driver’s seat, looking relieved but exhausted.“You good?” I asked, even though my head wasn’t entirely in the moment.“Yeah, finally,” he muttered. “Stomach’s been acting up since we started the meeting. I just couldn’t leave iI the middle of all that tension. I had to wait it out.” He let out while I nodded, barely processing his words. My thoughts were still back on that phone call. Daisy’s quiet and apologetic voice kept replaying in my mind like a song I couldn’t turn off.“Let’s grab lunch before we both pass out.” Tony said, starting the engine. “I’m so famished.” He added and I nodded again. We drove to this quiet little spot we’d been to a couple of times. It was nothing fancy, just solid food and a bit of peace but even with the win fresh in our pockets and the weight of the deal off our shoulders, I couldn’t shake Daisy’s voice.Tony was talking mostly about the meeting, how proud he was of how we handled the pitch, and

  • Falling for my Billionaire Crush   Grasping at straws…

DaisyI don’t know if it was because I finally found who was the blackmailer was or because I was really tired, but I slept really well. I didn’t even wake up until it was almost noon and it was even my dad who woke me. I was pulled out of my sweet dream by his knocks. “I’m coming,” I let out as I groaned out of the bed.“Good morning sweetheart,” he said once I opened the door. He had a bright smile on and I was immediately infected too.“Morning dad,” I replied with a bright smile. “What are you doing in my room so early in the morning?” I asked while he chuckled and entered. I closed the door and followed him. “If this is early in the morning, what would you then call it when its noon?” He teased and I laughed at first before I got it.“Ohh you mean it’s not…” I replied and then went for my phone. My eyes lit up once I saw the time. I think he got it too then because he genuinely thought I was playing around. He looked at me with questioning eyes and I just smiled.“How are you?

DaisyI hadn’t slept much… I think o only slept for about five good minutes before I woke up. I thought it was even morning until I checked the time and saw I had only slept for five minutes. That was my fastest chance at escaping my thoughts about my messy love triangle. Since it didn’t work, I had no choice than to deal with the thoughts and they were rushing in like a flood. My body was still and wrapped in the warmth of my blanket, but my mind… it never really shut down. Every time I tried closing my eyes, flashes of everything from the day came crawling back in… from Tony’s touch to Liam’s kisses to the lies I spun, the truth I buried, and that ridiculous blog post I tried to kill with a selfie. It was all too much. I felt like I was caught in the middle of a chess game I wasn’t even trained to play. But I have made my moves and now, all I can do is wait for whatever comes next.I kept at this for a long time till sometime past 3 a.m when I finally drifted off. It was just a ligh

  • Falling for my Billionaire Crush   I've had enough mess for one day…

Daisy Liam’s parent no longer in the living room and I was so grateful for that. I knew I had tried so hard to be quiet but a part of me still felt like they must have heard me and I didn’t even know how to face them after that. Liam ordered my ride and it arrived in no time. We shared a quick hug and I hopped into the car while the driver zoomed off immediately.I sat curled up against the door, staring out the window, watching the streets pass in silence. My body felt sore from everything that had happened today and the emotional weight pressed down on my chest. I kept thinking of Tony and Liam, and the mess I’d tangled myself in. I felt like crying but my eyes wouldn’t oblige my wish. They were so dry and it was like my mind was too overwhelmed to feel anything else and it just went silent.“When did you become this girl, Dee?” I thought to myself.I can’t even believe that I had sec with Tony just this morning, got in a secret relationship with him and then went right ahead and
