She's simply Incomparable

After Jack finished speaking, he left, and it was difficult for her to stay in the same space for even one more second. Hazel smiled bitterly as she thought of what had just happened.

Her clothes were a bit wrinkled, and she lowered her head to straighten them out. That was when she noticed the button hear her heart had somehow come loose. It must have happened when she saw struggling earlier. She wondered if Jack had noticed.

Feeling powerless, she closed her eyes and realized that nothing had gone smoothly for her recently. After straightening out her clothes, she followed Jack out of his bedroom. It was getting late, and she had to go back to rose villa.

As soon as she stepped out of the door, she saw Jack leaning against the car, talking on the phone. He heard the noise and turned to look at her, his brows furrowed. His sharp gaze quickly swept over her, and then he turned his head as if he hadn’t seen her.

The Aiden’s family mansion was very large, even bigger than rose villa. The garden was lit by ground lights, and the night breeze was gentle. The moonlight shone on Jack, giving him a dreamy glow. Even his usually sharp profile softened.

“Well, you don’t need to worry about that. Even if we have to delay, it doesn’t matter. The most important thing now is to take care of your injury first.”

Hazel didn’t need to think too much to know who he was talking to on the phone. She smiled lightly, knowing that Ashley was someone she couldn’t compare to.

She stood at the door, listening to his gentle voice, pursing her lips. She hesitated for a moment before taking a step forward. She had to pass the garage to get to the iron gate outside. She tried to step lightly, afraid that the noise would disturb Jack’s call and cause him to come looking for trouble.

“Your injury hasn’t healed yet, so why did you come back? I’ll come see you in a few days . Listen to the doctors and don’t run around, okay?”

He held his phone to his ear and watched as Hazel walked past him, his deep and dark eyes following her every move.

Sensing his gaze, Hazel instinctively looked over. Thinking of the awkwardness in the room just now, she hesitated fora moment before quickening her pace and walking away. She walked faster and faster, almost running out as if there was a flood or a fierce beast behind her.

Jack frowned and stared at her retreating figure, his deep eyes shining with a profound light.

Hazel took a taxi and returned to rose villa. Looking at the large and spacious house, she felt exhausted both physically and mentally. Going back to the old house today had almost drained all her energy.

After taking a shower, her phone rang.

Looking at the caller ID, she smiled from the bottom of her heart for the first time in many days.

“Hello?”

The person on the other end said directly, Hey, sis, I’ve called you twice. Did you go looking for your lover? Turn on the video, hurry up!”

Hazel hung up the phone as instructed and opened the video. On the screen was Anna, with her beautiful face, faintly showing some displeasure.

“I was just taking a shower and didn’t hear the phone,” Hazel explained with a good temper.

Anna didn’t reply, her beautiful eyes glancing left and right for a while before she said directly, “This environment seems a bit unfamiliar to me.” Before Hazel cold answer, she threw another sentence to her, “It seems that you and Jack marriage is real?”

Hazel was stunned. Apart from the Brook and Aiden families, almost no one knew about her marriage to Jack.

“You know?” She asked.

“Are you planning to keep it from me forever?” Anna was unhappy, “Hazel you,re too much.”

“I did think about telling you, but your phone was unreachable for the past few days, and I messaged you but didn’t get a reply. I had some other things going on, so I wasn’t sure if I could contact you,” Said Hazel.

“Forget it” said Anna with a forgiving tone, “I was just teasing you. I saw your message. I shouldn’t have gone to Tibet at this time. I thought I could come back according to the schedule itinerary and celebrate your birthday, but there was a landslide and I lost signal on my phone. When I finally got signal, you gave me his shocking news.”

“A landslide? Are you okay?“asked Hazel anxiously.

“I’m fine, just temporarily stuck here until the road is cleared. But about your situation....” Anna rubbed her forehead, “I thought you were joking, so I asked Noah, and he gave me a rough idea. Hazel is there something else going on? I know you’re not that kind of person.”

Hazel felt warm inside, but her nose started to turn sour. Today, two people were willing to believe her, which was really nice.

“It’s a bit complicated, and I haven’t figured out what’s going on yet. But Anna can you believe me? I’m really happy,” Hazel said.

“What nonsense are you talking about? What’s our relationship? But now that you’re married to Jack, what are your plans? Will you stay at home and be a wealthy wife?” asked Anna.

“No,” said Hazel honestly, “I was planning on opening a studio when I come back, but that might not be possible for now. Today, I went to the Aiden family, and Jack’s grandfather wants me to work at Global. But.. Jack doesn’t seem very happy about it. To be honest, I don’t know what to do.”

Anna didn’t think too much of it. “Grandfather is a very shrewd person. If he wants you to work at the Aiden’s family company, he must have his reasons. Why do you care so much about Jack? Maybe Grandpa wants you to spend more time with Jack to develop your relationship? Actually, this is a good thing, don’t you think?”

“What are you thinking?” Hazel sighed, “You know who he likes, and ..... there are some things that’t can’t be explained in a short time. Let’s talk more when you come back.”

“Hazel, have you never thought about it? Or have you really moved on? You’re already married to him now, and you....” Anna’s word were cut off as the screen froze.

After several seconds, the picture resumed perfectly, and Anna cursed irritably, “Damn it! There was no signal just now! This damn place! Let’s just leave it like this for now, and I’ll talk to you when I get back.”

Before ending the video call, Anna reminded, “Hazel, if you haven’t made up your mind yet, then don’t think about anything for now. Just go to work at Global, I know your abilities better than anyone else, you’ll do great. Be happy at work, bye!”
