"Belle." An iron chain was being dragged across the floor with a crisp sound. "Where are you?"

"Get ready. I'm coming for you." A young man's voice sounded three times.

Barefoot, Belle Murphy curled up under a bed and her teeth chattered with trepidation.

She held her breath, paying attention to the surrounding sound. Hide-and-seek like this had taken place many times. But she was still scared to the core every time it happened.

"I got you!" The sheet was suddenly yanked, and the man's face came into her view.

Her brain turned blank instantly, and her legs began going numb.

Having recovered from her fear, she attempted to distance herself from him. He grabbed her foot, rendering her immobile.

"Louis, please..." Belle pleaded in a trembling voice.

When Louis Reed noted that tears were built up in her eyes, there was a fleeting fierce look in his eyes. He drew a smile and coaxed, "Come on, Belle, get out. The floor is cold."

After that, he got her out. He picked her up, carried her into the bathroom and showered her.

During this entire process, his face was devoid of any emotion. He focused on his work silently. No matter how Belle begged or what she explained, he didn't let her go as if he didn't hear her.

He carried her out and placed her on the bed, jumping her bones. Time ticked away slowly. Suddenly, she cried, "You got it all wrong. You're the only one I love."

It wasn't until he heard this that he stopped having sex with her. He held her in his arms, and rubbed her waist gently.

Every time she made him mad, making the love confession worked wonders. Although she hated to lie, she had no other choice.

"Does it hurt?" he asked. Staring at the red mark on her wrist, he rubbed it gently with a worried look on his face.

"No, it doesn't hurt." Belle refrained from pulling her hand away, letting him blow on the red mark as if he could help her with the pain in this way.

At first, she had been freaked out, and now she had resigned herself to her fate, allowing him to do whatever he wanted.

She sank into deep thought. She had just accepted boba from another man, and Louis treated her like this.

He put her in chains, and then untied her with a trace of guilt on his face.

He was possessive and capricious.

She felt that if she continued to go against him, he would wear her out and make her faint.

Hence, she decided to give in for the time being.

She gritted her teeth and silently counted the days. "I got to get through the rest of the days," she resolved inwardly.

When Belle woke up the next day, it was already afternoon.

She was tired, painful, and hungry.

She was awakened by the man.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she found him squatting beside the bed feeding oatmeal to her.

He was actually very tall. It was quite uncomfortable for him to be squatting by the bed like this.

"You're up, Belle," Louis said with a bright smile as he saw her open her eyes.

Belle had to admit that he was cute when he smiled.

His eyelashes were thick enough to make girls envious. When he drew a smile, he would have dimples and his protruding canine teeth could be seen.

His smile made him look simple and pure.

No one would think that a young man with such a smile was dangerous.

Belle felt bitter.

"Who would connect him to that devil last night?

"Who would have thought that such a good-looking young man would trap her here for almost a month?" she thought.

"I'm not hungry." Belle turned her head to one side with a pale face. At the thought of what had happened last night, she felt intense disgust for him.

He hurt her and then got nice to her.

What did he take her for?

"Belle," he said sweetly. Holding onto her chin, he forced her to turn head and face him. "You got to eat something."

With a big smile, he put down the porridge, approached her, and propped his forehead against her forehead. He said, "When I hugged you last night, I felt that you had lost weight."

As he mentioned last night, Belle felt a lot of pain.

When she met his gaze, she felt goosebumps all over her body.

"I really am not hungry," Belle said, looking away.

An eerie silence filled the room.

"He is losing his temper," Belle thought.

After a while, she stole a glance at him and found that he pulled a long face.

He just gazed at her, and his fringe covered his eyes with madness in them.

"Belle, you're mad at me, right?" he asked in a hoarse voice. "I'm sorry. I lost control of myself last night. I shouldn't have treated you like that, but I just couldn't control myself. You can punish me however you want. Don't ignore me like this. It's killing me."

Belle got scared seeing this. Each time he acted like this, someone would get in trouble.

But she also felt aggregated, so she tried to explain the whole story to him.

"Louis, I was just too thirsty back then. That guy is a friend of mine from school. He just gave me boba. Why did you do that to me?" As she spoke, tears welled up in her eyes.

"But he stole a glance at you." He suddenly raised his head, and his eyes were fierce and impassive.

"So what? It's not a big deal," Belle said with knitted eyebrows.

"Belle." He bit his lower lip and looked at her with determination. "I won't allow other men to peek at you. No one is an exception!"

Belle's eyes widened in shock. She didn't know what to do with this loony.

"He's crazy," she said silently and closed her eyes, trying to isolate herself from the outside world.

How could there be someone like him? He was only 18 years old. How could he be so cruel?

She began to worry about herself, not knowing if she could hold on before she managed to get rid of Louis.

After a while, Belle was embraced from behind, trembling slightly.

"I'm sorry, Belle. I just love you too much. I tried everything new with you. I hope you can cherish our relationship. You won't turn your back on me, right?" he whispered in her ear. He pulled her closer to him and looked as if he was holding something that meant the world to him.

Belle didn't struggle.

There was only one thought in her heart. She would go to great lengths to make it to the day she got out of there.

After making up her mind, she turned to face him and touched his head. She squeezed a smile and reassured him, "Don't worry, Louis. I'll always be yours. You don't need to see others as your rival. I will never have feelings for other men. You're way, way out of their league."

"Really?" he gushed as his eyes lit up with excitement.

"Don't do that again, okay? I don't want your hands to be soaked with other people's blood, huh?" she coaxed him patiently, as she gave a pinch on the cheek.

"Okay, I'll listen to you. I'll do whatever your say," he said as he buried his face in her chest.

"There, there," Belle said as she kissed him on his forehead.

"Does it still hurt, Belle?" he asked softly with a blush.

"It won't hurt in a few days," she replied, forcing a smile.

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault." Feeling guilty, he reached out to her waist and touched it gently in an attempt to help her manage the pain.

He regretted his impulsive actions last night, but he couldn't control himself. When he saw that the man chatted with Belle and gave her boba and that she smiled at him, his jealousy knew no bounds.

Belle was his. How could she smile at another man?
