Chapter 18: Charismatic stranger I

"Let's meet at 8:30 tonight alpha… come alone and don't be late, I have an update for you."

I remembered the words of the stranger I had met with in the woods and his instructions, as anyone else would be, I was curious to find out what his update was but I was feeling uncertain of the idea of going alone.

As I was about to call Asher, the strict warning of the strange wolf echoed in my head; "if you bring anyone, I'll know and you'll regret it bitterly."

What if it was just a rogue trying to mess with me? But what if it truly was something I needed to hear and would regret bitterly if I ignored him?

Either way, I was desperate.

I left home around eight after Darla went to bed, after I convinced her not to worry and I wouldn't sleep out.
