Elle’s POV: Chapter Six The Truth and Nothing But

Mom was drunk again which was of no surprise but, it was the panic in between her slurred words that got me. She never panics about anything. Not even almost being evicted was she nervous. She is always so sure about everything. Not this time. As Elle stepped harder on the accelerator of her car she thought back to her mothers words. “Elle, they’ve found us.” “You need to stay away from the house.”

Those words were a warning. Ron had found them.

  • Fated Moon Wolves    chapter 42

Anna POV: The world was gold. That was the first thing I remembered—the way the afternoon sun caught the stalks of the tall grass, turning the meadow into a sea of shimmering honey. I was sitting at my mother’s feet, the wild clover tickling my knees, and the air smelled of crushed mint and the sweet, heavy scent of coming rain. To a six-year-old, the world was a playground of secrets, and my mother was the keeper of them all. I wanted to know every single secret. What my mother didn't kno was the visions had started. My power grew and sometimes I could already guess the secret before she even told me. "Keep your head still, little bird," Mama whispered. Her voice was like the rustle of silk against stone—soft, but with an edge that commanded the wind to listen. Sometimes I thought she cared and sometimes I felt fear coming off of her in waves. I tried to sit like a statue, though a ladybug was currently making a daring trek across my knuckles. I watched its red shell move,

  • Fated Moon Wolves    Chapter 41

Anna POV:The scream I thought I was echoing into the night died in my throat as gravity vanished. For a heart beat there was nothing but the whistle of the wind and the terrifying open void beneath my heels. I accepted I was going to really die this time there wasn't much fight in me now. The world tilted; I opened my eyes to glance at the horrible beauty of the inn's glowing windows that streaked upwards like dying stars. This was the last images I'd ever glance at. I waited for the bone shattering impact, for darkness to finally claim me and for all of this to be finally over. No more suffering. But the air around us felt thick- soffocating even. It wasn't the ground that met me it was him. I felt every hard muscle underneath me. I'm going to die, I thought, my fingers clawing uselessly at the rough leather of his coat. I’m going to die attached to a lunatic. But as Silas twisted his body in mid-air, putting himself between me and the looming earth, a spark of something ancient f

  • Fated Moon Wolves    Chapter Forty

POV: I felt the cool steel of the blade slice through that useless excuse for an inn keeper. I also knew that it was time to run. I owed a debt and now I was refusing to pay that debt. I didnt care how many inn keepers I had to kill no one was touching my little one. Speaking of her. I looked around hair wild and now covered in sweat. Turns out killing someone can make you a bit nervous, I've killed before but never for someone else. Never have I killed and it meant something other than to save myself. I walked over to her as she sat behind the bed. The blood from the inn keeper's body was looking closer to her and she looked pale. Paler then I enjoyed her delicate body. Her beautiful blue eyes were staring at that blood like it was telling her secrets-whispering. Like a rabbit she looked like she would bolt any second. "Little one, you must come with me. I think we need to go now. Her hands shook as they reached for mine. I grabbed onto her and lifted her into my arms. I coul

  • Fated Moon Wolves    Chapter Thirty Nine

Anna POV: Chapter Thirty Nine: No good place like home. I could feel the ground pounding away under my feet. The earth felt like it was calling me back to it. My muscles ache and I feel as if my wounds have probably opened again, as wetness drips down my shirt. But, I don't have a choice, I have to get back to the woods, and have to hide. I whisper scream to myself. I hear laughter chasing after me before I hear him. He thinks this is a game. He is gaining on me. I try and weave magic and connect to the earth but only whips of light come out of my hands. Nothing is working, my lungs sting as I'm trying to run past brush and into the woods. Heaviness fills my body as blood is dripping down my stomach again. I've opened my wound. Fuck. I collapse right before I reach the tree's edge. His hands reach around me and gripping at my shoulders. I try and fight him off and dig my nails deep into his arms, I'm hoping I've drawn blood at least when I hear him hiss in pain. "That wasn't n

  • Fated Moon Wolves    Chapter Thirty Eight

Chapter Thirty EightSilas POV: To sell her or to keep her.We drove for a few hours with her head dangling on my shoulder like a dead animal. She eventually would be dead after I sold her to witch hunters. I knew what she was the second she washed up from the river like a drowned rat I might want to lick, I went from wanting to make money off of her to wanting to lick her skin. Thank’s to her horrible fall I got to see every outline of her body as her clothes were plastered to her skin, and the goddess did have an amazing body. She slumped forward as the roar of the motorcycle died down, I pulled up to an inn where I had a room waiting for me. For now the little one needed rest, her wound needed time to heal. I can’t make good money on damaged goods. Opening the doors to the room which wasn’t much just a bed and a desk, with peeling wall paper on the walls, I put her on the bed. Best to let her sleep. Getting up the next morning I went downstairs to the bar and told my

  • Fated Moon Wolves    Thirty Seven

Chapter Thirty seven Anna's POV: I always thought dying would be simple, but it turns out dying actually hurts like a bitch even if you choose to die. I landed on the water with a loud thud. The water was cold and I welcomed her. I was not scared to die. Not now, not after watching what happened to her sisters and their home. I would be okay with dying. I closed my eyes and let darkness take me, until the light hit me and I realized I couldn't breathe. The water had pushed me to shore, gasping and pain coming from all around my body, I was sure I was bleeding and the sun was everywhere and my body felt so weak. The fall had done a serious number on me and I felt like it took all of my strength to drag my body from the river that was raging behind me to the shore line. I could swear I could hear whistling as I coughed and gagged up river water trying to breathe. Someone was whistling like I wasn't dying. I twisted to lay flat on my back and finally look up at the sky. I h
