Faye's POV

"Mia!" I yelled, stepping into the maid quarters but I got no response.

"Mia!" I called louder, searching for her. Where the fuck could she be? How can finding one maid be so stressful?

"Can I help you?" Someone suddenly whispered in my ears from behind making me shriek loudly, flying away.

"Sweet goddess, you should have seen your face!" She burst into laughter, my eyes turning red in fury as I saw who it was.

Who else if not that maid I was looking for?

If Ivy didn't particularly like her I won't have hesitated to rip her head off her neck. Let's see how funny she'll find that.

"I didn't know the Almighty mistress Faye was such a scardy cat," Mia taunted further, infuriating me more and more.

"One more word from you and I'll show you just how scary I can be," I threatened, my eyes burning in fury as I glared at her. She immediately swallowed her laughter, seeing the serious look on my face and I nodded in satisfaction.

Tyler's POVEmber watching us and laughing while we fooled around with the kids was bliss and it made my heart tingle in excitement. She barely smiled or laughed after the issue with Jericho went down and I wanted more than anything to see her smile again and I think Alec felt the same way even though he would never admit it.He was my brother and I knew him better than anyone else. I'm sure he was not oblivious to the fact that her attention was on us the entire time. I suspect the main reason he goofed around with the kids the entire time was to make her laugh and he wouldn't stop when he noticed it was working. It was hilarious seeing Alec doing something so embarrassing. He wouldn't admit it but I knew it was all for her. He'll most likely try to kill me if I point that out to him. Although, I'd rather avoid getting mauled by Alec, I didn't feel the same about Everest. The moment he stole her attention from us, he became number one on my hit list. If the kids weren't watching u

Ember's POVEveryone has the same clueless look on their faces as I did. Why is she suddenly asking us how well we can hide? What was she going to make us do? Play a game of tag? "You all thought right, we're going to play a game of tag," she smirked, voicing out my thoughts and I gawked at her in disbelief, not saying anything. She was crazy. "Seriously Faye? A game of tag? What are we, kids?" Alec asked, frowning. She shrugged. "No one said everyone has to play. If it's too childish for you, you can just drop out and we have more food to share for the others. Missing just one meal wouldn't kill you, will it?"If looks could kill, Faye would probably be dead from the glares she was getting from each of us. Only Ryan didn't seem to be angry with her. "Why not just go back home and get more food for everyone or better still order more food?" Tyler suggested and I glanced at Faye wondering why she didn't think of this. "First of all, someone forgot to refill the car tanks," Faye

Ember's POVStaring into the moonlight, sitting on the beach shore with the wind blowing against my face, I can't help but feel grateful to Faye for bringing us out here. It was the perfect spot to have fun and forget all your worries. The cook breeze, cherry laughter and glowing moonlight makes it pretty easy. Faye might be a nuisance but I'll have to give it to her, she definitely knows how best to lit up everyone's mood without trying too hard. I glanced sideways, smiling as my eyes landed on the boys trying to get my babies to talk again. "Read my lips Levi, say Daaaadaaaa," Tyler mouthed slowly to Levi but Levi only chuckled, grabbing his hair and pulling it. "Ahhhh!!" Tyler winced in pain. "I said call me Dada not to draw my hair," he muttered, successfully prying Levi's hands away from his hair. I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh out loud. He would be too embarrassed to find out that I was watching him. "You're not doing it right," Alec scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Oh

Ember's POVI laughed into the moonlight. For a moment I forgot about everything and just dwelled on this moment. "This flower is so cute," I pouted, picking up a flower while Theta went about picking out other herbs and flowers. She knew everything about every single flower in here and it intrigued me. They were so many and I didn't think a single person could know so much about every single flower in here but she did."Let me see that." I gently handed the flower to her, careful not to ruin it because it felt so delicate in my hands. The moment she saw the flower her eyes lightened up in delight, making me curious. Is the flower something special? "Where did you see this?" She asked, her eyes dancing in excitement."Over there," I pointed the area out to her and she immediately rushed over, grinning like a little kid who just found a treasure. Watching her act this way was a little amusing. "What's it? Is it some sort of jewel?" I crouched down beside her, watching the flowers wi

Ember's POV"Faye!" I yelled, barging into her room and I regretted doing that the very next second. "What the fuck guys!" I gasped, blankets flying over naked bodies as Ryan and Faye tried to cover themselves."Seriously, Ember, barging into rooms, is that what we're doing now?" Faye glared at me, looking not just pissed but irritated. She even slipped and called me by my real name. I wonder if it was intentional."Can you guys not do that with my kids in the house," I scoffed, totally ignoring her irritated look. "In case you haven't noticed, the doors are sound proof, stupid. Mind you, you should knock, get an invitation rather than barging in. We were having a moment." "Yea, right," I nodded, my eyes flying around the entire room. Everything was everywhere. There were clothes all over the floor, the desk was a mess, the bed was History. I think it might need a little repair and there's Faye's face. She looked like a truck load of mess and everything in this room irked of sex.

Ember's POVI rolled my eyes in irritation, staring out the window as I watched different packs trooping into the building in their numbers to offer their condolences to my mates over my acclaimed death."I didn't know they cared about me this much," I snorted derisively, Mia chuckling as she helped arrange my clothes."They don't necessarily care about the Alphas' dead mate, they are just concerned about getting in the good books of the Alphas while some are just snooping around for gossip in pretence of offering their condolences.""You forgot to mention the ones trooping in with their unmated daughters dressed like sluts to win the favor of my mates.""That too," Mia nodded, smiling and I scoffed in annoyance. They were all unbelievable. It's not even be up to a day and they are already trying to get the Alphas to settle down with other women. Isn't there somewhere in a part of their brain that tells them that someone needs to mourn the death of a loved one first? Why am I bothered

Ember's POV"Hmmmm," I sighed in my sleep, turning on my side, my head landing on something wide, solid and comfortable. I smiled in my sleep. I wonder what was so comfortable to sleep on like this. It's definitely not a pillow. My eyes fluttered open and first thing it landed was on an unfamiliar wardrobe in the room, making me frown. I do not remember having a wardrobe like this in my room. My wardrobe is purple not black. My eyes hovered around the room, landing on more unfamiliar things, my frown deepening by the second.I immediately jerked awake, my eyes bugging out of their sockets as I realized something."This is not my room!"I slowly looked beside me and saw Alec peacefully sleeping, while Tyler laid by my other side equally sleeping. I almost shrieked loudly but I immediately covered my mouth, stopping myself from screaming and forcing them awake.WTF!How the hell am I in Alec's room and why are both guys sleeping beside me. Sweet goddess, tell me this is all a dream. I c

Alec's POVWhat the fuck was going on?I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Ember was right here in this room, with so many lascivious eyes hovering around her body. What the hell is she thinking wearing a dress like that here?My eyes remained fixated on her, a scowl on my face as I watched her laugh and joke around with Faye, and two other guys. One was hitting on Faye while the other was hitting on my mate.I thought of a million ways to kill the guy talking to her but none felt like a deserving death for him. How dare he hit on my mate right here in my presence. Someone growled beside me and I glanced at Ryan to see his murderous glare on the other guy, hitting on Faye. His rage was rolling off him in waves and he was slowly shifting without even knowing it."Get a grip Ryan! You're shifting," I growled and he took in slow breaths, tearing his eyes away from them."Sorry, I don't know what came over me," he muttered under his breath, blowing out steam. I honestly cou
