Jin-Ae got up and hastily adjusted her dress. The butterflies in her stomach made her gulp in nervousness as her hands started sweating. She fidgeted as slowly and gradually, the shadow came into light.
Her heart pounded like crazy but as soon as Jin-Ae recognized the figure, she sighed in relief.
She saw a glass figure, her resemblance, her sister Choi RosĂŞy.
"Did I do something wrong?"
this was all Jin-Ae could overthink about.Jin-Ae began looking around anxiously when...She came closer to Jin-Ae and brought her fingers in contact with her skin, which made Jin-Ae flinch a bit. "Seems like you enjoyed the session huh?"
Choi RosĂŞy caressed the dark purple hickeys on Jin-Ae's neck with her eyes dripping rage. The vexation in her voice made Jin-Ae sad and afraid.
Choi RosĂŞy's hand went down to Jin-Ae's hand and without any warning, she turned her hand in the opposite direction.Jin-Ae uttered a yelp in pain and froze as the trauma flash-backed quickly. A part of her past, the trauma she would never choose to go back to not even if she had to choose to die at that moment.
Choi RosĂŞ came a little more closer to her but now to her right. She chuckled in her ear and looked at her with sympathetic eyes.
Jin-Ae didn't answer her and mumbled "Now that I fulfilled your favour, please send me the money. We need to save our dad", Jin-Ae's eyes turned glossy.
She saw no worries on Choi RosĂŞy's face when she mentioned dad.
"We? don't act as you care so much huh! Ask mom for money, and NOW get lost. I don't want to see your ugly shadow near us anymore", she whispered with an evil smirk and pushed Jin-Ae towards the corridor.
Jin-Ae took a very last glance at his features. Unfortunately, it was still dark so she didn't get a chance to take a good look whilst Choi RosĂŞy settled herself beside him.
Jin-Ae left.
Coincidentally, when she got out of the hotel, she saw a taxi, as if it was waiting for her. Jin-Ae didn't notice anything as she was stressed out.
She texted her mom for money and asked the taxi driver to rush to the hospital.
The old woman made lame excuses as she begged her to transfer them now.She didn't want to risk anything, Jin-Ae's 6th sense was telling her that something ain't right. She kept feeling that something was off, very wrong which she can't notice or catch on to. After a while, her mom replied, seizing her back into reality.
She texted: The money will be deposited in your account in a minute or two.
Jin-Ae took a delighted breath and gazed at the night sky looking for something that might stop the storm and the burning inside her.
It was a dark, gloomy night whispering a lullaby.
A lullaby of how it's gonna be alright, that one-night absurdity can make her father live long and she can spend the coming years beside her dad laughing and having chicken with soju at weekends.
A gush of cold air hit her when she felt excitement building inside her stomach with all these thoughts.
The city was so busy at its stride meanwhile, she was exhausted but still kept up with her positive thoughts when suddenly her phone vibrated.
As she reached for her phone, in a second everything went blank.
She could feel sudden, an intense spike of pain as if something sharp crashed inside her hands and legs, but her soul was in more misery, an uncomfortable sensation with the scar of worry, the wound of what'll happen to her dad.
After a few seconds, she heard people chatting whilst someone yelled to call an ambulance that is when she completely went unconscious.
After 2 days,
She slowly opened her eyes, and everything slowly gyrated from black to blur to a clear picture. She smelt a mixture of blood, tears and vomit as she felt like crying and shortly realized that she was in the hospital. The hospital always gives off a sense of life and death, a scary feeling.
Where am I here? How is my dad? Is he okay? Nothing but these questions scrambled into her mind.
Before she could get up and go to inspect it further, a nurse and a good-looking guy rushed in and told her to lay down as they called Dr Jungkook to check her.
She was fully aware but sensitive, Jin-Ae suddenly felt a horrible ache all over her body.Soreness, pain, itching and the tired intellect, she wanted to run home where her dad would greet her with a warm hug. Her heart cried a little with small, tiny tears on the outside.
The doctor checked her nerves calming her down that it's alright, she's gonna be okay and started confirming that everything's alright or not meanwhile, she took a quick peek at him rinsing her tears off her face, she didn't know who he was, she tried to acknowledge him but couldn't.
Jin-Ae tried to recall everything.
She knew that she remembered everything, the phone call, her mom's message, the accident but it wasn't making any sense.
After the doctor checked her, he asked Jin-Ae a few questions to which Jin-Ae anxiously responded.
Soon it was over. Dr Seon-Ho informed her that her condition is better but she needs to stay at the hospital for a few days so they can ensure everything and then, she can depart.
In a twinkling of an eye, the doctor and nurses evacuated, leaving the two alone.
Before leaving, Seon-Ho patted Jin-Ae's heas assuring her that he's here and that she'll be alright.
Jin-Ae looked around nervously and got up a little to avert the awkwardness, the guy noted and immediately hurtled to her to make her pillow comfortable enough to sit.
He was so intriguing, dressed as in a blue button shirt with some random design, a few of the buttons from the top were unbuttoned. Tight jeans that fitted his thick sublime thighs perfectly. He was feverish.
Jin-Ae's eyes spied to his face, his hair a little messy yet still somehow managed to daze her into his appealing beauty.
Her breath hitched on how his hairs falling on his eyes made him look so glamorous. She shook her head face-palming herself mentally for checking out a stranger like that.
Before she could filter anything, he sat on the bed where her legs were.
In such a fight or flight situation,
"I don't know you. Do you know me? Have we met somewhere before?", Jin-Ae asked, within a single breathe."Ahan no! We never met before. So, um- don't think about this much right now it's bad for you. We can talk about this later.." A long silence took place.
She peered straight into his eyes trying to figure out why he is stuttering and skipping words.
Jin-Ae looked at him with a sceptical look and deliberately opened her mouth to say, "Ah-"He interrupted her, "Umm-ah you should rest for now okay?"
She shook her head in no, he seemed kinda dubious but nothing was troubling her more than the thought of her father.
Why Dr Seon-Ho didn't mention him and left. Everything was so uncertain and dramatic. She was getting restless.
She tried to catch on to things as everything was so messed up, she recalled that she received a phone call, as concern started to build in, she began to search for her phone.
He kept looking at her nervously, gasping his breath every second in fear.
He finally asked, "What are you looking for?" "My phone, where it is??" His face turned pale as if he was found guilty of something he did.
"Um- I think it crashed in the accident. Ahh- I will gift you a new phone and you have to take it", he said with a flirty smirk on his face.
Jin-Ae was weirded out with his behaviour, she found it a little perverted as he was still a stranger to her.She was about to respond when he continued mumbling to himself "as if her phone was very expensive" with an annoying smile.
She heard that but didn't pay any attention to it because at the moment, her dad was her priority, not this stranger that is kinda suspicious right now.Jin-Ae called Dr Seon-Ho screaming her lungs out.
He ran to her right after she called him fixing his coat while he showed his usual bunny smile to her but this time with a hint of sadness. "What is it, Ms Jin-Ae? Are you okay?", he inquired with a worried look on his face whilst he glanced at the stranger in confusion.
"I'm alright. Where is my dad? Is he okay? Can we have the surgery now? I have one million. Is he going to be okay? Can I see him" , she threw all these questions at him without any pause.
The charming stranger stood there with no expressions on his face whereas, at the same time, Do Hyun's eyes widen and he started to become uneasy too.
"I called you, you didn't pick it up so I left a voice message, didn't you receive it?"
Everything paused, Jin-Ae stared at Seon-Ho. Seon-Ho's eyes wanted to tell something, something she couldn't comprehend by gaping into them
"It's something, I mean-ah it would be better if you see it by yourself." He stammered, looking at the stranger guy from the corner of his eye.She felt dazed. What was he talking about? Why can't he tell her right now? Jin-Ae's world turned into chaos in a blink of an eye.
"Oh! It crashed in the accident. Can you please tell me here? How is he? Can I see him?" Jin-Ae asked getting up from the bed"Um- Jin-Ae, your dad...
Paparazzi, a populace of curious people began invading their privacy. They started capturing their outlook with every big and small digital eye, clicking and twinkling continuous lights on them which eventually resulted in Min-ah and Jae Joon getting scared and startled, they both inattentively hid behind Jin-Ae.Jin-Ae was stunned for a while as she didn't foresee being greeted goodbye like that. She stood straight bolstering her posture with wide-opened eyes as she held her kids tightly with her strong yet weary hands challenging their vicious idea of restraining her privacy. Her heart was thumping loudly, she could feel it lunging so dangerously as it jeopardized the chance of it plummeting out of her chest."Are they going to steal my kids away from me?"The only question that bounced around in her head kept on weakening her confidence whilst it slowly pulled her into this big anxious hole full of suspicions and darkness. "Please save me, please!
The sky shivered to wriggle the remaining blues into grey. The depressing yet happy tears drizzled on the earth dappling the sky with heavy clouds and shimmering silver lining.Whilst, everyone was appreciating nonentity, which is everything, Jin-Ae was standing as her heart sprinted for the figure to reveal herself.Unfortunately, something started irritating her eyes, to avoid the disturbing sensation, she carefully rubbed them but then, the appalling and the most horrendous moment transpired which caused Jin-Ae to snap her eyes wide open.Min-ah began cackling as the woman in hanbok looked pretty and so different from what she looked in front of the cameras. While on the other hand, the gullible Jae Joon was sitting there quietly, with his glossy dark eyes exemplifying the desire to go home as soon as possible.Jin-Ae recognized the woman immediately. Her breath hitched when all the voices in her head started resulting in unwelc
A tall, beautiful girl opened the door with a bright, cheerful gleam on her face, who appeared to be wearing a professional yet comfortable uniform. She greeted Jin-Ae with a big, delicate, and boxy smile. But, that smile wore off in no time when her eyes landed on Jin-Ae's drenched clothes.Jin-Ae shivered as her eyes flickered here and there trying to glare inside the room with that, she passed a small smile to the girl whilst her eyes proceeded to wiggle for her kid's sight."Please, come in ma'am!" The housekeeper mumbled softly, so soft that Jin-Ae's tears that were welled up on the edges, started to stroll down her face."Where are my kids? Who are you? Min-ah. Jae Joon.." Jin-Ae scantily sobbed when she couldn't find her kids."Please, calm down. They're so indulged in the TV right now, maybe they didn't hear you, because a while ago, big giant tears were meandering down their pink cheeks like you, wide written on their faces that they are m
Min-Jae's eyes flickered between the road and the beautiful woman driving beside him, the love of his life. Suddenly the fear of her getting hurt crawled in but then in a blink of an eye, he gradually became scared for his own life."Hey! Slow down. We'll get hurt." Min-Jae muttered and narrowed down his eyebrows in fear, without giving it a second thought.Jin-Ae forthwith gave him a death glare as a retort and then, promptly flailed her gaze to the road, trying her nicest not to tear down the concentration."My kids are lost and all you care about is getting hurt." Jin-Ae let out her frustration in a deep infuriating tone.Jin-Ae's mind was stirring up chaos and troubles, poking her in the ways that made her numb and more impassive, whatnot.Nothing in this small, scorched earth can neither harvest joy nor rehabilitate a soul that motherliness permits. Her kids not only compelled her, became a part of her, encouraged her to grow and heal in
Where are they? What are these pillows like this doing-g here?Where are you? Min-ahHer rumpus pulsated in the room, as her voice cracked in the end when her fear crawled down her throat. Min-Jae froze as his mind went blank, trying to comprehend the situation.Meanwhile, panic scrambled in her blood with her heart thumping in her chest crazily. A dozen of questions ricocheted up and down in her mind whilst she skimmed the room searching her kids with wobbled steps. She unlocked the bathroom door wishing deep in her heart for them to be in there playing with water and splashing it on one another. But she witnessed the cold water from the tap dribbling down on the ridges of the bathtub.Tip-Tip, Tip-Tip.She walked unhurriedly and removed the curtains to make sure, but Min-ah and Jae Joon were nowhere to be found. The conciliatory sound everyone loves started to torment
Flashback of a boy playing in the backyard with all the autumn leaves scattered here and there as a cold whiff swung away a few of them with it.On a loud giggly call, the kid veered around, wearing a dark brown coat which was bold and pretty, made him look like a brown rose with its corollas freshly thrived, on his simple jade black turtleneck and black earmuffs as he jogged towards his heaven, his mom.His bouncy, dusk, silky hair strode in all direction, filtered the moment into a Hollywood one. When shy airy chuckles echoed in the air as the kid jumped on her mom, knowing she'll catch him in one go.The two grinned so big at each other, as their blood rushed to their cheeks giving off a rosy tint, the cute duo looked breathtakingly beautiful.Dark chocolate brown aroma mixed with a lot of coffee beans scent, the kid pointed at the cute little pumpkin, ready to be embellished into a pretty one.The mother snickered looking at
Min-ah held her breath as she scrutinized the situation, putting up with superfluous precautions to not get snagged by the house helper/driver.She knew that they wouldn't permit them to go into a huge crowd as they might get injured. The hysterical enthusiasm and the insight of victory made them feel euphoric as their hearts romped along with the wobbly shine, a faded tremulous or sporadic light in their eyes.A child's intellect, a flame to ignite. It always works without the deliberation of right and wrong. Without contemplating any consequences, Min-ah and Jae Joon fled from the cafe to extrapolate more and experience something new.Little did they know, they were about to unlock a crazy stanza of their existences that might also cause them to tremble, lose their conscience, and the benign lifestyle they were dwelling in.Min-ah and Jae Joon sneakily got out from the different door and luckily they made it out without any dilemmas,
"You look so much like him", Min-ah lunged up, waning her brows as she twirled to get Jae Joon's viewpoint."I'm not sure but what I know is these rice chips are only made for me", Jae Joon muttered with inscrutable terms, licking his fingers, expressing how yummy those were."Hey! Look at him. WOW! This picture is you." Min-ah screeched at Jae Joon to finally get his scrutiny as her honey-brown eyes spurred and ruddy chubby cheeks hoisted in fervour gazing at her twin for a response.Greyish brown eyes diminished glaring at the picture on the TV screen as his ears earned a red hue in amusement."Woahh! That's me.", Jae Joon murmured with an unsettled tone illustrating awe.Something in Woojin was so transcendental and tantalizing that they both got engulfed in the TV screen, wowing at the man who was percolating the cliché of "hot bad boy" with a jaw slenderer than his cheekbones, guided down to his curvaceous lips.Woojin's nose, fa
The creamy silk curtains laced with fancy linen frontiers splashed an orange flicker to the room, eclectic with fairy lights reeked a greenish shade on Min-Jae's face. Felt like a forenoon in ecstasy.Jin-Ae unhurriedly opened her eyes to the adorable chorus of melodic birdsong, drifting in with the cold-warm gust swerves. The view, Min-Jae peacefully slumbering beside her was one of the best things she had ever encountered over the last five years.Resting there for a modicum, she struggled to get out of his hold, as they both slept hugging each other, admiring the warmth and adoring it to the fullest, fulfilling the missed eternities.Jin-Ae finally got out of his clasp and next, headed to the window unfurling her hands to entice her body, smiling when flashbacks of last night replayed in her head, celebrating, she then scantily removed the soft curtains and greeted the sun nicely. The dappled sunlight drew mysterious shadows, meantime, Jin-A
