Suddenly, the car stopped, they flitted forward as the driver pulled the brake.
Shortly after, the car was replenished with scary silence and strange stares. Little small junctures that felt like an eternity soon got over.
The driver nudged the curtain that was attached between the passenger and driver's seat.
Oh to be the Celebrity's type of car it was.
Jin-Ae finally gathered her nervous self and implored.
"Where are we?", Jin-Ae glared at the cameraman for answers with her narrowed brows, who again gave her, his signature smirk.
He then, rolled his eyes as they wandered back to the driver.
The cameraman gestured to the driver. The driver immediately reflexed to the signal and unlocked the doors.
Jin-Ae was mystified and kept staring at the cameraman with dozens of concerns in her mind.
She was trickling. In a blink of an eye, she heard footsteps from the outside. Gradually, the deliberate and small footsteps were coming closer.
With curiosity, Jin-Ae made an effort to look outside for the answers to her questions that were wobbling in her mind.
Unfortunately, the black shades made it impossible."Patience Ms!" said the cameraman making her jump on her seat. Jin-Ae barely nodded and loitered desperately for someone to open the door.
So many queries were detonating into her mind, she tried to hush them as she tapped her feet hard to deflect her mind but the anxiety was drilling her.
Jin-Ae traversed her fingers wishing everything to be alright as her hand automatically went for her pendant that her father gifted her.
She held it tightly.
After a while, the door opened. Her eyes came across Min-Jae's, as he stood in front of her grinning wide.
She was so relieved to see him.
He drew his hand forward and helped her come out of the car.Jin-Ae adjusted her dress and gawked at him with qualms in her mind and as if he heard them, he inquired "Umm, shall we? You'll get to know it all soon."
She was so confused and strumbled a bit until she noticed that he was expecting her to hold his hand. "Yeah" Jin-Ae answered.
They both commenced walking, when everything felt like as if a narrator was reading an enchanted fairy-tale aloud.
Jin-Ae was on cloud nine.
A handsome man in a semiformal black tuxedo, hair curled, sparkling dark soulful and deep personality that resembled his warm blanket of love, oh and his bottom lip slightly thicker than his top lip with a little tint of pink.
She was out of breath and who wouldn't be?
A handsome young man right next to you in a tuxedo. LUCKY!
If she was a storm then he, the lantern in her dark tunnels, the serenity to her chaotic storms and the truce where she smiles gigglingly.
She stared at him for the longest time, enjoying the view till he smiled wide at her and frantically waved his hand in front of her, retrieving her back to the lively frame she would regret missing, that's when she realized where she was as her nose started picking up on something, something that's familiar.
It was Daecheon Beach.
"But you're my best view" Min-Jae shyly chuckled at her flirtatious comment as his ears slowly started to get red.
Jin-Ae cackled, wowing at his cute ears, then veered around to glare at the glamorous sea whilst she adjusted her hair behind her ears.
The cold breeze of air fondled her face, melting onto her skin. The old breeze welcomed her, bringing all the good and happy memories back.
She was reliving the most lively and optimistic moments of her existence as the chilliness in the air gave her quick flashbacks.
Whenever she would be sad, or when life kept drowning her into some chaos, she always chose to come here with her dad to hurl down all of her heavy burdens and doubts in the water.
With all these memories in her head, she lowered her head with her trembling lips, she tried to suppress her tears but somehow, Min-Jae saw it.
He immediately halted and stepped in front of her. He motioned a no with his head and then, gave her a little peck on her tears.
Her stomach started chucking at his cute and considerate gesture but before she could hop in excitement, he blindfolded her. AGAIN.
"Ahh! Min-Jaeee again?!" she screeched, plodding her feet up and down like a baby. He narrowly laughed at her behaviour and said, "Just a little longer princess."
"Okay, but you won't leave, right?"
"No, now I'm here for you. Always"
She couldn't tell if it was a dream or a part of certainty.
She kept pinching herself to make sure everything was real and she wasn't daydreaming again.
He unhurriedly helped her walk towards the beach, she could feel the cold cinch and the smell of wet, briny and soft gravel tingling her face while on the other hand, her cheeks were red flushed in shyness.
The frigid air suddenly made her shiver. "Are you cold?" Min-Jae asked with concern and clutched her hand more tightly.
Jin-Ae nodded as she struggled to disguise her teeth chattering. She was happy, and snickering inside for the extra attention and care she was getting.
The extras always make everyone feel good and spoiled.
He stopped, soon took out his coat, and carefully wrapped her.
Her cheeks reddened.
She bit her lips to stifle the butterflies from going crazy in her stomach. The coat was so soft and made her feel safe and pleased.
He then, clasped her hand again and assisted her as they started walking again.
The more closer she was, the more bizarre she got; What is it?
A surprise? Is he proposing to me?She was busily untrapping herself from the net of the uncountable and crazy meaningless question, when;"Are you a ready princess?", Min-Jae murmured in her ear.
His deep intimating voice sent shivers down Jin-Ae's spine. Her face turned red and slowly, the darkness faded away as cold gust eclectic with sand, unfortunately, went into her eyes.
She started kneading her eyes trying to find solace so she could see what's there for now.
Min-Jae hissed at her as he held her hands and grabbed them down behind her.
Water waves clapped at his courage as they scampered more with arches. It was now only a 5 cm distance between Jin-Ae and Min-Jae. The lucky blue tides that got to see such a fascinating and glamorous utopian moment of two lovers.
"Tho a very accurate replica of Romeo and Juliet"
Min-Jae couldn't help and hesitated to do anything. He was trying his best to control his emotions whereas Jin-Ae stood speechless figuring out how is she still breathing.
He then, helped her opened her eyes as he huffed for her and lightly caressed the upper side of her beautiful closed eyes.
The minute she opened her eyes, she backed off.
Stabling her sanity level was not the priority at the moment as her emotions started ditching her off.
An awkward silence augmented, as water tides, raved for them in the background.
In no time, Jin-Ae turned out to be avoiding his eye contact to halt her nervousness before they exceed her borders but then, when her eyes landed on the scene, she couldn't believe what she just saw.
She instantly covered her mouth with her hands as her heart started to beat crazy fast. Again.Scented candles, sunflowers, cream white pillows and fluffy blanket. It looked so aesthetically glamorous.
It felt like a tale coming true.Affluent sheets with shades of red richly blended with orange and crimson. The clouds were cotton candy as though they flickered at the warm touch of the sun. It was perfect and very like a fairy tale.
She was cherishing everything he did for her when she saw a heart made with candles and rose petals near the shore.
"Ouff!", her heart cried out.It was so UNREALISTIC and ROMANTIC. Her heart was wilting at this.Min-Jae could see an enormous smile on her face and instantly figured out that his plan and efforts paid off and came out to be successful.
He was proud of himself. The cameraman was still recording everything. Her chuckles, little quick eye contacts, every moment when she wowed and Min-Jae stared at her as if he never saw anything more beautiful than her.
The cameraman documented every little glimpse of the time where they both were living the best time of their vitalities.
The man kept blessing them both in his heart as he knew that Min-Jae was never this delighted and joyous in so long.
The binaural hymn played in the background; with all this, she felt consensus and calmness filling her heart.
She turned around to face Min-Jae and thank him for this surprise but God knew that the best thing was yet to come.
Min-Jae went on his knees and bought his right hand forward, with a halo, round cut vintage gold ring. It was shining bright in the sunset, he knew her type.
Jin-Ae froze with fervour, amusement and happiness in her eyes. She couldn't stop but jump up and down with her glossy eyes, her hands were trembling and in no time, all the blood rushed to her cheeks.
She again coated her face trying to hold back her tears when Min-Jae started speaking.
"Jin-Ae,
This might be a little sophisticated and confusing for you but I think this is the right time. The time when I need to say all the things I feel about you. Jin-Ae..(he was tearing up a bit)You make me happier than I ever thought I could be and if you let me, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.
I can't promise you that there won't be tough times but I guarantee you if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know, you're the only one for me.
With this ring, will you be my girlfriend? Will you marry me when the time is right? With this promise ring, will you accept me?"
She kneeled sobbing and wiped his tears that stained his pale cheeks.
She nodded a YES.
Everything was so fast that she didn't give this a second thought and got ready to accept it.
Who would think and give a proposal like this a second thought, even after such great efforts?
Min-Jae put on the glamorous ring on her finger and hugged her tightly. As if it was meant to be made for her. The ring glinted happily.
He cried like a baby as if he got something, he wanted for a long time.
She was happy but soon doubts started ambushing her. What if this is wrong? Is he my soulmate? What if we get hurt in the end? Does he truly love me or not? Is this finally my happily ever after?
She instantly backed off as she tried to calm her nauseous self and thought of asking him to start this relationship after when she is not drained out.
But- He'll get hurt and whatnot.
She loved him and wanted to stay by his side forever but her anxiety was ruining everything.
She paused for a second, dragged herself towards him as they both were still on their knees and looked into his eyes...
Paparazzi, a populace of curious people began invading their privacy. They started capturing their outlook with every big and small digital eye, clicking and twinkling continuous lights on them which eventually resulted in Min-ah and Jae Joon getting scared and startled, they both inattentively hid behind Jin-Ae.Jin-Ae was stunned for a while as she didn't foresee being greeted goodbye like that. She stood straight bolstering her posture with wide-opened eyes as she held her kids tightly with her strong yet weary hands challenging their vicious idea of restraining her privacy. Her heart was thumping loudly, she could feel it lunging so dangerously as it jeopardized the chance of it plummeting out of her chest."Are they going to steal my kids away from me?"The only question that bounced around in her head kept on weakening her confidence whilst it slowly pulled her into this big anxious hole full of suspicions and darkness. "Please save me, please!
The sky shivered to wriggle the remaining blues into grey. The depressing yet happy tears drizzled on the earth dappling the sky with heavy clouds and shimmering silver lining.Whilst, everyone was appreciating nonentity, which is everything, Jin-Ae was standing as her heart sprinted for the figure to reveal herself.Unfortunately, something started irritating her eyes, to avoid the disturbing sensation, she carefully rubbed them but then, the appalling and the most horrendous moment transpired which caused Jin-Ae to snap her eyes wide open.Min-ah began cackling as the woman in hanbok looked pretty and so different from what she looked in front of the cameras. While on the other hand, the gullible Jae Joon was sitting there quietly, with his glossy dark eyes exemplifying the desire to go home as soon as possible.Jin-Ae recognized the woman immediately. Her breath hitched when all the voices in her head started resulting in unwelc
A tall, beautiful girl opened the door with a bright, cheerful gleam on her face, who appeared to be wearing a professional yet comfortable uniform. She greeted Jin-Ae with a big, delicate, and boxy smile. But, that smile wore off in no time when her eyes landed on Jin-Ae's drenched clothes.Jin-Ae shivered as her eyes flickered here and there trying to glare inside the room with that, she passed a small smile to the girl whilst her eyes proceeded to wiggle for her kid's sight."Please, come in ma'am!" The housekeeper mumbled softly, so soft that Jin-Ae's tears that were welled up on the edges, started to stroll down her face."Where are my kids? Who are you? Min-ah. Jae Joon.." Jin-Ae scantily sobbed when she couldn't find her kids."Please, calm down. They're so indulged in the TV right now, maybe they didn't hear you, because a while ago, big giant tears were meandering down their pink cheeks like you, wide written on their faces that they are m
Min-Jae's eyes flickered between the road and the beautiful woman driving beside him, the love of his life. Suddenly the fear of her getting hurt crawled in but then in a blink of an eye, he gradually became scared for his own life."Hey! Slow down. We'll get hurt." Min-Jae muttered and narrowed down his eyebrows in fear, without giving it a second thought.Jin-Ae forthwith gave him a death glare as a retort and then, promptly flailed her gaze to the road, trying her nicest not to tear down the concentration."My kids are lost and all you care about is getting hurt." Jin-Ae let out her frustration in a deep infuriating tone.Jin-Ae's mind was stirring up chaos and troubles, poking her in the ways that made her numb and more impassive, whatnot.Nothing in this small, scorched earth can neither harvest joy nor rehabilitate a soul that motherliness permits. Her kids not only compelled her, became a part of her, encouraged her to grow and heal in
Where are they? What are these pillows like this doing-g here?Where are you? Min-ahHer rumpus pulsated in the room, as her voice cracked in the end when her fear crawled down her throat. Min-Jae froze as his mind went blank, trying to comprehend the situation.Meanwhile, panic scrambled in her blood with her heart thumping in her chest crazily. A dozen of questions ricocheted up and down in her mind whilst she skimmed the room searching her kids with wobbled steps. She unlocked the bathroom door wishing deep in her heart for them to be in there playing with water and splashing it on one another. But she witnessed the cold water from the tap dribbling down on the ridges of the bathtub.Tip-Tip, Tip-Tip.She walked unhurriedly and removed the curtains to make sure, but Min-ah and Jae Joon were nowhere to be found. The conciliatory sound everyone loves started to torment
Flashback of a boy playing in the backyard with all the autumn leaves scattered here and there as a cold whiff swung away a few of them with it.On a loud giggly call, the kid veered around, wearing a dark brown coat which was bold and pretty, made him look like a brown rose with its corollas freshly thrived, on his simple jade black turtleneck and black earmuffs as he jogged towards his heaven, his mom.His bouncy, dusk, silky hair strode in all direction, filtered the moment into a Hollywood one. When shy airy chuckles echoed in the air as the kid jumped on her mom, knowing she'll catch him in one go.The two grinned so big at each other, as their blood rushed to their cheeks giving off a rosy tint, the cute duo looked breathtakingly beautiful.Dark chocolate brown aroma mixed with a lot of coffee beans scent, the kid pointed at the cute little pumpkin, ready to be embellished into a pretty one.The mother snickered looking at
