WINTER'S POV

I didn't know how long I had been staring at Luna Ashley. My mouth opened and closed before I finally shook my head.

"How? I mean, how did I become your daughter when my parents are apparently the omega of Silvermoon Pack?"

"You were switched at birth, darling," Luna Ashley said, stepping closer to me. She pushed down the collar of the dress I was wearing.

"What are you doing?!" I moved to swat her hand away but stopped when she did the same to her dress.

She pointed to her neck, where a crescent-shaped mark was visible, and said, "Not only are you my replica, but you also have the birthmark that is only noticeable in the females of our clan, the Hugh."

I recognised the mark she was talking about. At one point, I had considered covering it up as people had started calling me a freak. However, I eventually embraced it and realised how unique it made me look compared to others. I had always assumed it was just a birthmark and never attributed it to anything until now.

Still, it didn't make any sense. I could still be someone else.

"You might be mistaken," I said. "I might just look like you coincidentally..."

"Every girl child in my family has a birthmark—a moon on their collarbone. My daughter didn't, and I assumed it would appear later on. But then, I realised she wasn't ours when I learned about you." Luna's voice remained calm, and I nodded as I listened to her.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but you are part of this pack not to serve me but to live as my daughter and be taken care of," she explained.

I felt relieved knowing I wasn't here simply to work as a maid. At the same time, I felt anxious. How could I start living with them after eighteen years of my life had been wasted? And what would happen to the other girl child? Would she be sent away?

I tried not to dwell on it, but I couldn't help feeling concerned.

Luna Ashley stood up, saying, "Let's get you cleaned up," but she suddenly halted in her tracks, her eyes narrowing.

I followed her gaze and noticed her staring at my legs. It dawned on me that I had forgotten to cover the injury, and I grimaced.

"Jules!" she exclaimed, causing me to flinch.

Luna Ashley quickly moved towards me, taking hold of my hands in her warm grasp. "What happened, darling? Did your parents do this?"

I shook my head, attempting to speak, but Luna Ashley interrupted me.

"The pack's doctor will be here to tend to your injury. Don't worry about it, and please let me know if you've been mistreated in any way."

I nodded, my gaze flickering around the room. That's when I realised we weren't alone. The Alpha, whom I believed to be my father, stood by the entrance. He had a receding hairline, a strong, square face, and a defined jawline. His slate-grey eyes remained fixed on mine, filled with astonishment.

Perhaps he was wondering how I resembled his wife so closely.

He took a step towards us, and I noticed a boy, who appeared to be around my age eighteen, walking behind him. He was the masculine version of me, with dark-brown hair like the Alpha's and bluish like Luna's. I could say he was the perfect blend of the Alpha and Luna.

As his eyes narrowed while observing my injured leg, a vein ticked in his jaw. Did he have an aversion to injuries? He seemed tense.

I diverted my attention away from him and back to Luna momentarily. She still wore a concerned expression, and it struck me that she appeared different from the stoic woman I had seen yesterday. It seemed like she genuinely cared about my well-being. Maybe, just maybe, I would find love and acceptance here.

Suddenly, a shrill cry shattered my thoughts. I turned my gaze towards the entrance and saw an elegant blonde girl stomping her feet while yelling profanities.

Instantly, everyone's attention was drawn to her, and I realised that no one was paying attention to my injured leg anymore.

Because who wouldn't want to stare at the girl forever? She looked like a real-life princess. She wore a pink tulle ball gown that reached her knees and high boots. A shiny diamond necklace adorned her slim neck, and her face had to be the most gorgeous I had ever seen. Full lips, a button nose, small cheekbones, and piercing green eyes. It was as though the moon goddess took her perfect time when creating her.

She looked perfect and could easily be called Luna's daughter because Luna herself was extraordinary.

In contrast, I wore a plain shirt and white jeans that had attracted dirt when I fell.

"No one cares about me. Should I even leave the house? I don't belong to this family!" she yelled, even though we could hear her perfectly well if she said it quietly.

"Darling," Luna Ashley murmured. She stood up and walked towards her. The Alpha and my supposed brother did the same.

Luna Ashley gripped the girl's hand and hugged her while the others fawned over her.

No one paid attention to me, and it wasn't like I was begging for it. The atmosphere in the room shifted, creating a strange feeling. The four people before me seemed like one united family. Their interactions made it obvious that I was just an outsider constantly disrupting the peaceful ambience in this lovely family.

I guess it was the truth. I was here to replace her—I assumed she was the girl without the birthmark that Luna Ashley had discussed. I was going to disrupt their harmony.

"You'll always be the princess. The only princess in this household," my brother said.

"It's okay, Ken. I'm just worried that Mom and Dad, or even you, won't love me as much now that she's here. After all, she's their biological daughter," she shouted.

I wondered if she had forgotten I was in the room or if she enjoyed receiving unwarranted attention. Somehow, I felt I would have a problem with this girl. I didn't know how, but I wouldn't say I liked the vibes I felt around her.

"You are always my daughter," said the Alpha.

What about me?

Perhaps, I would be the unwanted one. I didn't say that aloud, though; I simply kept quiet and observed everything unfold.

Luna Ashley must have sensed my unease because she walked towards me. "Come, let me show you to your room."

I nodded and stood up. We passed by several rooms, and when we reached the last one, she gently nudged the door open and let me in.

I gasped softly as I looked around in awe.

I had never seen such a beautiful room before. It was like a giant dollhouse with everything neatly arranged. There was a queen-sized bed in one corner, a floating bookcase above the headboard, and several Barbie posters hanging on the wall. I also noticed that the room overlooked the seaside. It was a perfect room, and I couldn't have asked for more.

"You need some rest, darling. Tomorrow will be a long day as you'll be starting at a new school."

I nodded and glanced at her before she walked out of the room. "Thank you," I murmured.

"It is rightfully yours." She flashed me a smile before leaving.

As soon as she left, I sat on the bed. It was as soft as I had imagined. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes. Perhaps, this wouldn't be as dreadful as I had imagined. Maybe I would find a sense of belonging here, and who knows, I might even grow to love it.

The following day, Luna Ashley fulfilled her promise and took me to the school to get familiar with the environment.

Upon arriving, Luna Ashley guided me through the transfer procedures. I didn't have to do much, and I was grateful to have her by my side to assist me.

"How about you show her around the campus?" Luna Ashley suggested.

"Of course, Mother," Summer, my sister who had thrown a tantrum the day before, said.

"Come on." She grabbed my hand, and we walked to a relatively empty corner.

As soon as we were out of earshot, she suddenly pushed me against the wall and snarled, "You'll never be part of this family!"

  • Fated To My Lycan Brother   Death

WINTER'S POVJoy erupted inside me as I glanced at Slade and Damien-who were now lifeless. For a brief moment, I had thought Slade would be the one in Damien's shoes. I had felt Damien would overpower Slade, considering his immense power, but I was glad it had turned out differently.Gloria screeched, "I'll never forgive you for taking my son from me!""You brought this upon yourself," I said. "You should surrender now that it seems you can't win!""No!" Gloria screamed, almost bursting my eardrums. "I'll never surrender. His death needs to be avenged!" Dark energy enveloped her, emanating an aura of animosity.Gloria's voice thundered through the forest, carrying a raw fury fueled by the essence of darkness. An ominous aura consumed her body; the air crackled with nervous energy.I watched in both awe and apprehension as Gloria underwent a grotesque transformation. Her eyes turned pitch black, and her once-elegant features contorted into a twisted visage of rage. Shadows danced aroun

  • Fated To My Lycan Brother   Damien dead

Slade's POVI shifted uneasily, knowing I shouldn't be in this form. I couldn't help it, though. I didn't want to be the defenceless alpha who always relied on his Luna for help. Even though I had always fought my battles, I felt like most people saw me as weak, barely capable of doing anything.I locked eyes with Damien, and we exchanged growls. But deep down, I almost regretted it. My heart pounded, wildly beating against my rib cage. Being in wolf form made everything even more challenging for me.I turned my gaze towards Winter. Despite being held by Gloria, it seemed like she could free herself from the situation. She looked furious, and I knew most of that anger was directed at me, while the rest was aimed at her ex and his mother."You need to shift back," Winter snarled, her frustration evident. "She said you'll die!"Gloria only laughed in response. I wished I could wipe the grin off her face and make her pay for everything. Pay for killing Britney, especially, and taking my

WINTER POVI had always known that many things could go wrong in one night, but I never imagined it would be this same night. First, the forest became infested with reptiles, making the hunt scarier than I had anticipated. Despite thinking we could manage the situation, the hunters appeared, Slade, got bitten, and now Gloria and Damien had arrived.I never thought I would find myself in a situation like this, struggling in the death grip of the woman who was once my mother-in-law. The last time I saw her, after Slade's victory, she even tried to console my mother. I believed she had our best interests at heart. But learning that she had impersonated people to reach and kill me turned my stomach.I used to admire her and thought she was the perfect Luna, but the crazed look in her eyes just moments ago shattered that illusion. Gasping for breath, I felt her yank harder on my hair. I desperately tried to grip her hand and release her hold, but it only tightened."Fucking shift and kill

  • Fated To My Lycan Brother   Do not shift

SLADE'S POV"What the hell?!" I yelled, glaring at the slime as he kissed Winter.Struggling to stand on my feet; the poison from the snake was making it increasingly difficult. I blinked back the haziness in my eyes, gritted my teeth, and summoned all the strength to confront him."Get your fucking hands and mouth off, my mate!" I bellowed.Winter gasped, her eyes shifting to mine as I hunched over. She approached me and reached out a hand to touch my back, but I shrugged her off."I'm fine," I said, narrowing my eyes. "Why the hell did you let him kiss you like that?!""I let him?" She asked, brows furrowing. As I nodded, she exclaimed, "You saw he forcefully kissed me! I never asked to be kissed, but he did it against my will. So, don't blame me for not reacting quickly—I was taken by surprise!"Of course, I wasn't blaming her, and I wasn't angry with her. I assumed she should have pushed him away at the first opportunity, but maybe I wasn't thinking straight.Winter hissed and att

  • Fated To My Lycan Brother   Damien

WINTER'S POVDespite all that I said, Slade didn't budge. He stumbled away from me, running his hands through his hair. "I'm fine, Winter. Just watch where you're standing. We need to deal with this before we leave."I rolled my eyes and clenched my teeth, my gaze drifting up to the full moon. "The poison will spread faster when you shift, and you'll shift sooner than you think."Slade glanced at me and shook his head. "I'm not like the other werewolves, remember? I'm partly a lycan, so I can control my shifting to some extent until the hunt is over."I let out a frustrated breath. No matter what I said or would say, he remained stubborn. I supposed I needed to stay close to him to prevent impulsive actions. Just then, Jude burst into the clearing, growling, and lunged at the hunter's leader next to me before I could stop him.He landed several punches on the leader's face, only stopping to catch his breath."Jude!" I shouted, scanning the other hunters who seemed poised to attack him

  • Fated To My Lycan Brother   Bloody reptile bit me

WINTER POVI turned to Slade with wide eyes, and he mirrored my expression, staring back at me."What are you all, then?" I blurted out. "Are you not the ones after the pack's MoonStone? I mean, the group of Lycans who fought with the previous Alpha and led him to sacrifice himself?"He nodded grimly. "And we had our reasons for coming after the MoonStone gem." He added, "But we are not the same as those. We belong to a different faction, known as the Bwegbonyu speakers and night hunters. Lastly, we weren't the ones who originally attacked the previous alpha.""This isn't making any sense," Slade voiced my confusion, and I nodded to indicate my agreement."I think we need to explain further. But first, you must understand that we are not the Vordrak Lycans. They pose a threat to everyone in the werewolf world, as well as humans. They are incredibly powerful, second only to gods and goddesses," he explained."Vordrak Lycans?" I murmured, wracking my brain to recall where I might have h
