Maxwell opened the window of his carriage and poked his head out as they drew closer to the Citadel.

He breathed in deeply and a smirk formed on his lips.

It had been ages since he had last come here. He had left in Kallias' third year as King. He knew his cousin had felt an immense pleasure when he had left but now he was back, and back for good.

He chuckled softly and brought his head back in.

The guards at the Citadel’s gate saw the crest on the carriage and also recognized the Prince's head
