Vincenzo’s soothing scent, his charming personality, and his warmth surrounding me was supposed to calm my soul. But he opened his mouth and ruined my peace, mentioning Cassidy’s qualities.

My mouth turned bitter as I shook my head.

“Yeah, think like a Luna!”

I muttered under my breath, chuckling inwardly. The high tide of desire was over, replaced with irritation. I wanted to scream, to cry, to fight with my mate over this matter.

But causing a scene on the first day as a mated couple didn’t seem cool. So, I counted till ten to calm down.

“Alright, Vincenzo. I get your point. Cassidy has repented of her sins, and she deserves a chance to live as a respectable citizen.

Vincenzo’s jaw twitched with slight disbelief, as if he wasn’t sure about my sudden agreement. After all, he was aware of my habit of arguing relentlessly.
