Ashley’s P.O.V.

Darkness had been the last thing I remembered, thick suffocating darkness that swallowed me whole after that brutal blow to the back of my head.

Somewhere in that void, I floated helplessly, torn between dreams and nightmares. When my eyes finally fluttered open, it felt like breaking through the surface of deep water after drowning for too long.

A sharp ache throbbed in my skull, each pulse dragging a wave of nausea through me. For a moment, I couldn’t even remember where I was or why the scent of blood clung to me. Then it came rushing back: the threats, Enzley, and Vincenzo leaving to face Cassidy.

“No!”

A desperate panic tightened around my chest as I jerked upright, calling hoarsely.

“Enzley… Vincenzo…”

My voice broke in the silence like a fragile glass, making me aware of my surroundings. I wasn’t in the safety of my mansion’s room or the stone path where I collapsed.

Instead, I found myself sprawled across a vast, immaculate bed. Smooth satin sheets, a

Epilogue Ashley’s P.O.V.The grass bent beneath my paws, cool and damp with dew, while the morning breeze kissed my white fur. I stretched my stride wider, faster, until the earth itself seemed to drum beneath with my heartbeat. The sky was painted in soft pastel-lavender clouds, melting into golden light. I felt truly free; the invisible pain in my chest was gone. It was just me, my wolf, and the wide-open field. The scent of wildflowers drifted into my nose, filling my heart with joy. I veered toward a patch of them, brushing my flanks against their velvet petals. The kind of run reminded me of my first shift when I had nothing but my wild heart and the wind at my side. Throwing back my head, I howled, the sound ringing sharp and clear in the air. My paws thudded against the earth, and soon, I spotted a pond, its glimmer captivating my attention. I padded softly towards crystal-clear water. The liquid shimmered under the sunlight, so pure it looked like melted diamonds. But what

Vincenzo’s P.O.V. The iron taste of blood clung to my tongue, the sting of the broken skin still burning, but none of it mattered to me anymore. The truth lay bare before me as my dad’s killer had confessed his crime, revealing the hidden secret of his mysterious death. My claws slid out, and a growl rumbled from the depths of my chest, shaking the air. “You have done enough damage, Dean!” I snarled, every word searing with fire. “Now, I won’t allow you to cause any damage or trouble.” Dean’s smile faltered as I faced him fearlessly, disbelief shadowing his face. He muttered to himself. “That wolfsbane… It wore off so easily?” Yes! The wolfsbane! I had gone to rescue my son, but the moment I reached that rundown building, it turned out to be a trap. I thought I was ready for everything, but I couldn’t see the syringe coming until it was buried in my neck. Its venom hit faster, burning through my veins, ripping my strength away. My body turned heavy and sluggish, and bef

Ashley’s P.O.V. “No!” The ground tilted under my feet, my heart tearing open as though claws had ripped straight from my chest. My scream ripped through the night, raw, uncontrollable, drowning out everything else. I reached for his shoulders, shaking my head violently. “No! No, Vincenzo! Don’t say that. Don’t you dare say that!” But his eyes didn’t flicker, didn’t burn with the fire that threatened us. They stayed cold, deadened by the loss. I clutched at Vincenzo’s bloodied shirt as though I could shake the truth out of him. “No! This can’t be true. You went to bring him back. Cassidy wanted the pack papers. Then why? Why couldn’t you save him? Why isn’t my son here?” Before he could answer or even breathe, a sound sliced through the night, cruel, venomous, and merciless. Cassidy laughed coldly. “I don’t play by the rules, Ashley!” She mocked, her voice carrying a poison wrapped in sweetness. “I have taken both: the pack papers and your son’s life. And it’s fair, don’t

Ashley’s P.O.V. My head was still pounding from where Grayson had slammed me against the wall, but fury burned hotter than pain. The moment his grip slackened, I twisted my wrists free and lunged at the wine pitcher at the table. My fingers closed around the heavy glass, and before he could snarl another threat, I smashed it across his head. Boom! The sound was sickening, a dull crack followed by his guttural growl. Blood ran down his temple as Grayson staggered, glaring at me with venom in his eyes. But I didn’t wait! I bolted inside and slammed the balcony doors shut, fumbling with the locks. Through the glass, I could see Grayson swaying, trying to gain control over himself. At that moment, I knew he wouldn’t be down for long. My breath hitched, and my feet moved before I could register, taking me away from this cursed scene. I threw open the suite’s door and sprinted down the carpeted hallway, every step thundering in my ears. I kept glancing back, half-expecting his

Ashley’s P.O.V.The sound slithered into the silence, leaving only a faint crackle of the burnt ash on the altar. I stood motionless, my entire body trembling. Cold sweat traced my back as my mind tried to grasp the horror. Our mortal enemy, Cassidy was bold enough to declare a war before the goddess herself, breaking all the records of absurdity. I turned my head towards Vincenzo as his eyes burned like fire. His voice ripped through the silence, deep and furious.“Cassidy has crossed all the limits tonight!”He growled, the sound echoing off the temple’s walls. “She dared to spit such filth, challenging the decision of the goddess. She needs to be stopped as soon as possible.”Vincenzo’s rage curled in the air, heavy enough to make the warriors bow their heads in submission.“But what should we do now?” I asked him, my voice steady.“If Cassidy can send messages like this, it means she isn’t alone. It seems she has a witch helping her.”The thought churned in my guts. A witch with
