AbbigailWe partied long into the night. I was feeling tired a few hours into the reception and curled up in a chair for a quick nap. I must have slept longer than I thought because I woke up covered in Shawn's uniform jacket. There was some light music playing and quiet conversations in the hall. I slip her jacket on and Shelby lays her head in my lap. I scratch behind her ear and she leads me to Shawn. I walk into her arms and press my face in her neck. AbbigailIt's Christmas Eve, the day before my due date for the twins. A lot has happened since Shawn and I got married. For instance, Tim and Tina were arrested for arson and two attempts of murder in the first degree. Kelly and her twins were put into foster care. Shawn sold our house for the same price she bought it for and we moved into her grandparents heavily guarded estate. It was left to her, but she was going to use it as a second home or holiday gatherings. Beth is carrying on well in her pregnancy and it's given Shawn and I hope to having our own child. AbbigailI woke the next morning and was immediately hit with a wave of nausea. I took slow, deep breaths to help subside the nausea. Shawn sits up next to me, hands me a peppermint and rubs my stomach. I let out a relieved breath, lean against Shawn and our door opens. I smell Joyce's perfume moments later and reach for her. She gives me her hand and presses two fingers on the inside of my wrist. Moments later the nausea is gone and I let out a relieved sigh.
