Chapter Five

Lilith's POV

I'm sorry. Abyss tells me before I feel as if I'm pushed inside of my own body. Everything changes as I feel like I’m having an out-of-body experience, or is it an inner-body experience?.

I can still see Theo at the end of the bed but it’s as if I’m looking through someone else’s eyes as he listens to the words come out of my mouth that I didn't grant permission to leave.

"The last thing she remembers is hitting her head and screaming for Khai," I say in a weird voice that doesn't belong to me. I feel heavy as I see Theo through hazy vision push forward from the chair he was sitting in.

I fall into his arms as my body feels far too exhausted to stay awake.

I'm running, running from a man. A familiar man that's chasing me out of a house. A packed house I think.

"I'll be a kind little wolf. I'll give you a five-minute head start" he snarls at me as I turn to bolt my way through the forest not so far from the building.
