Chapter 4 Alpha Kelvin's POV

Around eight in the evening, the welcoming ceremony started. I dressed up and went downstairs. My dad introduced me to some of the pack members,garma- leader of the soldiers of the pack,the elders and other important members. By eight thirty my dad started the introduction.

" Hi everyone" he stands on the podium and tried to get the attention of the pack.

" We all know why we are here" he continued after making sure that he has everyone's attention.

" We are here to welcome my son, the new Alpha to be, Kelvin.and his beta David. Am glad today because, I have been waiting for today for years and am glad that we are here today". He paused and looked at the crowd,then he continued.

" Am happy and thankful for all the support,respect and faithfulness you all showered me and I hope that you all do the same for the new Alpha. My son.and his beta. David.". He said as he turned to look at me. Then he continued while still looking at me.

" You have gone for training for years and come out successfully, that's why today, I Alpha Desmond Fredrick handover the role,duty and responsibilities of taking care of this pack,. The Moon Pack. to you,. Kelvin Fredrick. as the new Alpha of the pack". He said as he hugged me.

I stood at the podium,cleared my throat and looked at the pack and said.

" I Kelvin Frederick promise to protect the pack with my life and hold up the responsibility of the pack as my first priority and I won't disappoint my pack". I said as they applauded.

" Kelvin, congratulations" Patricia told me as I alighted the podium.

" Thank you"I said as I turned towards David.

" Dave, when are you going to see your parents?"I asked.

" Tomorrow morning". He answered.

" Alright, I may......"I couldn't finish my sentence,when my wolf stood up in joy. I also felt a sensation in my heart.

" I can feel my mate". He answered expectantly.

" And????". I asked.

" And what?... Let's look for mate". He said admist Joy.

" No, I won't"I objected.

" What did you mean by 'NO YOU WONT'" he asked.

" I have said this time without number," I DON'T WANT A MATE'". I said making it clear to him.

" Hey man, what's wrong, you look like you are battling with your wolf,what's going on?" He asked touching me.

" It's nothing important"I said and immediately I saw my mate being dragged by a girl,that is about 20 years,they stopped at a table of three werewolves,two boys and a girl. The guy sitting down and a girl in his arms seems to be mates,that's when I noticed the other guy that stood up immediately my mate reached the table and looking directly at my mate without blinking. My wolf was loosing his cool by seeing another wolf looking at his mate like that.

My mate also seems to be looking at him with a confused look, like she doesn't know what is happening. The guy standing in front of her seems to come back to his senses and he smiled while saying a few words to my mate and hugged her,that's when my wolf lost it.

A purring mechanism came from my voice, that's when David noticed that am losing control of my wolf.

" Kelvin,what is it?". He asked. He looked at the direction of my eyes but didn't know who am looking at in particular.

That's when the jerk released her ,while still holding my mate in her waist and dragging out a chair for her.

That's when my wolf took control, I didn't turn into a wolf but he took total control over my human form and let out a loud roar with anger that made the whole pack to go down on their knees in submission to their Alpha, except my parents and my mate. That's when she turned and look at me. And I know that she noticed the anger emitting from my body. 

I strode towards her in a large strides, totally forgetting about Patricia and David, I took her hand and left the gathering, My wolf have lost control and I can't control it and I know that if I don't take control over my wolf,he's going to mark her, which is what I don't want and she seems to be in a daze.

After going deeper to a safe distance, I tried to take control over my wolf, but he doesn't seem to want to listen to me,. He let my mate go and she looked into his eyes,that's when reality dawn on her and she found out that it was my wolf that took over because my eyes have turned into black instead of it's normal green colour

She took a step back and my wolf followed her

" Mayor, give the control back to me". I said expectantly

" No". He answered still taking a step towards his mate and her stepping back

" What did you mean by 'No" I asked confused

"I am going to mark her, so that no single man will think about touching her or even go as much as looking at her or else I will cut off their hands and gush their eyes out" he said with anger

" Don't even think about that" I said trying to persuade him.

" Then watch me do it". He said as he cornered his mate in a tree and bent over her neck. He took in her scent and the anger in him disappeared

"MINE". He said as he kissed her neck.
