Chapter 14 Jealousy is never a good company.

I was in his arms, and he had me pressed to his chest tightly; I could inhale his scent between sweat and woody aroma; it was intoxicating. I looked at him, and he answered me with a smile, followed by the stupidest question he could have asked me.

"You and that Kenzo guy, did you two have a relationship at the pass?".

"Why do you ask, what does that matter, if it's in the past," I said, trying to make him see that that was in the past and not important to me.

"I just want to know, I imagine it was something important because of the way he didn't want to let you go, and I'm sure, if it wasn't for the way I challenged him, he would have started a fight that would have cost him some broken ribs," he said with a somewhat sarcastic voice.
