Zuleika POV

I told myself I would stay away from Lanvin. I kept saying it over and over like a chant. My plan was to watch Dorian from a distance, just to be sure he was okay but he won't see me and have anything to do with me. That was it. Nothing more. I didn’t want trouble, and staying away from Lanvin was the only way to have peace in my heart.

But somehow, I always ended up near Lanvin again. Something kept bringing us together, no matter how hard she tried. I didn’t know how. I didn’t know why. Something just kept pulling me close to him. It was like the universe had a cruel sense of humor, always throwing them into the same space, forcing their paths to cross even when she prayed they wouldn’t. Maybe it was fate or maybe something else but not the universe or maybe the goddess. I couldn’t explain. But it was happening again and again.

When I got home that evening, I tried to act like I didn’t see him. I met him while eating and decided to ignore him. He was at the dining tabl

Zuleika’s POVIt was late. The kind of late where everyone should be in bed. The wind outside sounded like it wanted to come inside. It kept on billowing and crashing on the window but I ignored it and forced myself to sleep instead of watching movies until my eyes were red and swollen. Sometimes in this case, I doze off and the movie continues playing till the end. It was another lonely night with just me at home. I had just turned off the light, and slumped down on my bed when I heard it click. The front door opened and my heart jumped. I had locked the door right, so who was opening it? Was trying the lock? I sat up fast, holding my breath. Who would come at this hour? What was the person looking for? I didn't know what to do but I needed to do something to protect myself if danger was coming. I reached down, grabbed my slippers, and walked slowly to the door. My fingers tightened around the slippers. If it was a thief, I'd hit them. If it was someone dangerous, I’d scream until m

LANVIN’S POVAs soon as I stepped out of the car and walked into the pack, two guards rushed to me.They bowed and smiled. “Welcome, Alpha Lanvin,” one of them said.I wasn't an Alpha yet and I'd informed the guards to address me as that but it was useless as they kept on calling me that. I felt like it was a constant reminder of who I was and represented the pack. I asked past them without smiling. I hated this impromptu visit but it was still a way for me to escape all that had been going on in the school. It was driving me crazy and maybe dealing with my father was the distraction I needed. “Where is my father?” I asked, not stopping.“The Alpha is in his study office,” one of them answered quickly.I gave a slight nod and kept walking. My hands were in my pockets. My face was blank, but inside me, I was not calm. I didn’t like surprise visits. I didn’t like being called without knowing why. I hated being summoned out of my comfort zone so urgently and my father was fond of doing

ZULEIKA'S POVI stood staring out through the window with a glass of water in my hands and my phone in my other hand. I kept turning on the tap and filling water in the glass and then pouring it over the sink and watching the little joke drain it all and then I repeated the same process again and again that I lost track of the number of times I did it.I was not calm. Maybe nervous or restless or scared. I dropped the glass and began biting my nails whilst telling my feet on the floor to a funny rhythm. I thought about everything that had happened lately. Things were not making sense to me anymore and the more I thought about it, the more I found myself lost in it. I had no ideas on what should be done. I have been calling my brother for ages but he's not been picking his calls.I turned on my phone in my left hand and unlocked it, and dialled his number again for the hundredth time. His phone rang for a while but he didn't pick up. I hit the dial button again, and it rang but still h

ZULEIKA’S POVI woke up the next morning after Lanvin’s departure. The kitchen was still empty, his scent gradually fading. My cereal bowl is still laying in the sink. Unwashed. With a sigh, I picked it up and washed it carefully as memories of the previous day filled my mind. His silent treatment, my sudden outburst and his abrupt departure.I dropped the bowl and checked my phone, impulsively, without much thought. There was nothing. No texts. Not even from Freckles. But then, what was I expecting? I had pushed her away. I tried to occupy myself with other things. But after cleaning the already clean apartment a few times more than necessary, I gave up and let my thoughts take over.Where could Lanvin have gone if he had to leave immediately? Why didn’t he say more? He didn’t inform me where exactly he was going. Just that he won’t be back for a few days. If anything happened to him, what would I do?Unable to stop myself, I headed to his room, opening his door gently. I peered in

  • Feral Obsession Fall for the Hockey Alpha Captain   Chapter 46

LANVIN’S POVIt was 3.am yet I couldn’t sleep. I laid motionlessly on my bed as the moonlight streaked into the room casting it in a soft glow but even that couldn’t ease my mind.My wolf was restless. So was I. It had been clawing at my patience, screaming words of possession and rage. All because of one female. Zuleika. She belonged to me even though I hadn’t claimed her yet and having to watch her chat intimately with Dorian had set something ablaze in me. Now, I just wanted to torch everything down with that fire.It was torture seeing something that belonged to me yet, having no access to it. It was breaking me from inside. I ran my fingers through my already tousled hair, agitatedly.Something had to be done or I could lose my sanity. I was already losing sleep over it. I had to act fast or I’d be damned.Yet, I couldn’t calm the rage I felt towards Dorian. That bastard was my rival on and off ice, now, he wanted Zuleika too?Since the first day he set eyes on her I knew somethi
